When; Thursday - the early hours of the morning.
Rating; PG13, blooddrinking ahoy.
Characters; Közi (
bywhiteskin), Yu~ki (
earlofdracula)
Summary; Yu~ki takes notice of the fact that Közi needs to feed, and offers himself.
Log;
So soon as the conversation via the Network had concluded, Yu~ki had begun to pace. He had told Luke Valentine that his patience was wearing thin - if nothing came of their search soon, he was sure the same would be said of his floors. It wasn't so much impatience - though that was a factor - but worry that caused it; as strange as it may have seemed, he was quite against anything happening to his child - though he did wonder if his sadistic side is what had caused him to allow it to go on as long as it had, he pushed that thought aside and simply continued on his circuit.
It wouldn't be long - some time, yes, but not long - until the younger vampire made his way back to the place that had recently become his home. The fatigue showed in his face, and in his eyes - both of which were again fully formed - the patch no longer a necessity.
Making his way into the apartment by normal means, Közi immediately scanned the room for his maker - expecting his immediate attention.
And he received it - Yu~ki turned on his heel and walked to the younger; pausing in front of him. Of all things, he was unsure of how to word it - and as such simply bowed slightly. "Please, do sit down." With a gesture to one of the chairs present.
He did so, eyeing him for a moment before moving to lower himself carefully into said chair. He had his apprehensions - and rightly so - but the hunger and blatant lack of rest did nothing to ease what suspicions he still held toward the other. "I was searching - it's nearly daybreak, now. What do you require of me?"
It was murmured, now. He'd begun to pace again - though in a much smaller area now. "Közi... How long has it been since you have fed?" He paused in his course then, head lifting to peer over at him - curiously at this point, if anything.
His brow furrowed then - not defensively, not really - though it could easily be interpreted as such. "Since just before my eye was taken." Yes, a dangerously long time. But he was dead, and well knew it - feeding would take time he was unwilling to spare. Not to mention the fact that he despised the prepackaged nourishment supplied by the humans, and was rather tentative to be the cause of another pseudocrusade against his kind.
He nodded, at that - frown crossing his features. "I should have thought you would wish to retain strength enough to bring Mister Harker back, should there be resistance? Since he obviously will not stand for myself to come get him." It was not meant to anger the younger or rile him up in the least - no, at this point he was simply trying to prod him in the right direction.
.. "I drank the one who took its blood, too .. " as if it amended the situation in the least. It was likely the only reason he'd been able to regenerate the eye at all, as he'd refused the blood Klaha had left for him then. "I will concern myself with that much once I've discovered his captors.."
"Közi." It was stern, now. He did not claim mastery over them, but... "How can you hope to discover his captors if you cannot even sense me when I am wholly and utterly open to you?" Though his frustration had flared momentarily, it was already filtered away. "It does not make sense."
".. The blood they offer does so little," he murmured then - resting his head back. His eyes slid heavily shut - he relaxed now that he knew Yu~ki's purpose. In spite of himself, rather - it was good to have a moment to rest. ".. I do not have the time, nor patience to deal with another uprising.."
"Then do not bother with one." He was slightly hesitant to offer - if only because he did not know how the younger would react. "Take mine." He fell silent then, moving to the side of the chair - though he made no move nearer than that. "It will do more for you than others would."
His eyes opened, slitting at first though they widened considerably at the closeness - back to an alert enough state as he sat upright. "It will also indebt me to you moreso than I already am."
He shook his head, then. "No." It was simple enough. "I ask for nothing in return for it, nor will I ever." A faintly skewed smile - though he was simply amused at the irony. "You may think of it as payment for the bag you brought me, if you so choose. But you have my word as a gentleman that I will not use it against you."
He exhaled - a slow but even breath, a measured habit he'd never quite broken even in his second death. "It may not be wise to let me drink now."
"When, then? When you are even worse?"
"I can drain the ones who took him.." though it was obviously an unfounded statement, he not thinking logically to begin with. ".. I do not care whether they live or die."
"... At this point, would you be able to overtake them if you tried?" It wasn't so much a question, even - he already knew the answer. "And nor do I, but if you die trying it will be quite the pity; having to find Mister Harker all over again because they had the chance to move him." More prodding - voice soft.
And it earned a slight glare into nothingness, he quiet for a long while before again closing his eyes. A single hand lifted, held palm up - he presumably waiting for Yu~ki to offer his own. He would drink from nothing other than his wrist - well aware of the fact that the other would likely need to force him off.
A nod and the hand was immediately offered; sleeve already pushed up. His eyes were on Közi and would not falter to anything else - he had no intent of letting it progress too far; but he wanted to offer enough nonetheless.
He despised being at the mercy of another, and this put him there yet again, but he knew even through his present state of exhaustion that Yu~ki spoke nothing but truth. The younger did not so much as look at him before his upper lip was drawn back, the appendage lifted to his own mouth with practiced restraint. He hesitated, mere centimetres from his meal, fingers tightening over equally pale flesh.
There was no contempt or even triumph in his gaze as he simply watched - it had indeed been some time since he had offered himself like this. He simply nodded, though he knew that Közi was not looking at him - his own assent was a given at this point.
Another long moment, and then without thinking his fingertips pressed harshly into that skin as canines sunk into the unfamiliarly lifeless flesh. A low sound was torn from him as Yu~ki's arm was urged harshly to his lips, he unceasing until they connected to skin as well, signifying that he could bury his teeth no further. His tongue pressed downward until he felt the swell of liquid upon it, only then retracting enough to suck hard at the wound - purposely tearing a bit with his fangs as he did.
His face contorted momentarily and first instinct was to jerk away from 'attack' - however, will overpowered instinct and he kept still; free hand gripping almost idly to the arm of the chair as he simply watched the younger - allowing him to feed.
What was initially a show of his usual detatchment was quickly waning with his reserve, and soon enough he'd leaned back - Yu~ki's arm captive in a surprisingly powerful hold. He did not hurt him, instinctively or otherwise, as he registered that he was meeting no resistance - lapping insistantly at the slightly bitter taste before fangs tore again at the skin.
It was curious at the very least - and he ended up simply watching Közi with interest, though he was also making sure to keep track of his own state - and he was still fine. His nails did dig slightly into the fabric of the arm rest though - further incentive to keep still, perhaps.
Fingers crept higher still upon the man's arm, though those of the other hand held fast at his wrist, the others were working now in some attempt to tug him downward. The intention was obvious enough - instinct was urging him to a more substantial place from which to feed. His thoughts had, essentially, run blank - save for the knowledge that he desired more.
There were the first signs of hesitance now - he had not intended such. He judged the situation a moment - would he, despite advantage of age, still be able to throw the other from his meal were he the intended target (that had allowed it to be such for some time, on top of it all)? He ignored the insistant tug for a moment, though finally deemed that he would be able to - he would simply not let it progress far enough to... He sighed - almost as though appeasing a small child - and leaned down further then, the hand that had gripped the chair a moment ago shifting in order to be able to push his long hair out of the way.
This way, both arms would be free to remove the younger when the need arose.
The hold on his wrist was foregone in favour of resettling the hand to the opposite side of his neck. Now there was less pressure, but the hold was still evident - and likely would have been enough to make one who still had to breathe fairly uncomfortable.
Barely a second passed before fangs found the thicker vein at the very base of Yu~ki's throat, he biting down in such a way that signified that nigh all restraint had been abolished.
And again his face contorted slightly, though naught but a faint hiss passed his lips as both hands shifted to Közi's shoulders - idly there for the time being as he simply concentrated; for although the younger no longer held restraint, he had no intention of letting it progress further than he should allow.
His fingers curl to bury nails into the flesh, then - tiny half-moon cuts that just barely break the first layer of skin, though they remain there as his tongue laves thoughtlessly over the wound, he far more intent upon it with the increased bloodflow.
Another, lower sound - he pausing in movement for a split second before lurching upward, dragging Yu~ki forth at the same time in a surprising show of strength.
His own nails dug harshly into both of Közi's shoulders then in response; it was enough - it was obviously enough, considering... - so he waited simply a moment or so more before one hand found Közi's jaw and gripped it - the other remaining at his shoulder as the elder urged - nigh forced - the younger off.
It wouldn't be so easy as Yu~ki was likely expecting - he jerked his head aside, managing to escape the hold, and reconnected to the skin from which he was being pushed - though he did not bite down again. Some measure of control had reclaimed him in that instant, and he merely swabbed his tongue over the thing a few more times before drawing back of his own will.
A quiet breath, the sound of realization - and both hands are quickly drawn from the other, he taking an unconscious step backward - thankfully not far enough to meet the chair and fall.
He was indeed surprised by the turn - though thankful enough that he'd managed to cause that momentary respite. He took a step back of his own - he could feel that both wounds still bled; and for a moment he simply concentrated on regenerating enough to quell the flow - no need for temptation. The fingers of his uninjured hand ran through his hair slowly - undoubtedly a bit shaken by his own lapse in judgement.
He nodded soon enough however, gaze shifting to the younger. "I take it you are feeling better, then."
A slow nod - it took him a moment to gather his senses enough to do so, but then there was a quiet murmur of thanks. His strength had apparently surprised even himself. Nothing was said of it, he lifting a hand to run a single finger carefully beneath his own lip - assuring that he'd made no mess.
His own nod, then. "Good." In retrospect, he really should have realized the effect it would have - he was far too old to be allowing such things to surprise him - especially such important things. Though he nodded again it was mostly to himself; voice soft. "... I gave you my word I would help you find him, did I not?" In response to the thanks; but he left it at that - there was no malice or accusation in his tone, simply statement of fact.
"And have proven yourself thus far." His tone was nothing short of appreciative - he issuing another nod. "But I cannot stay - the sun will rise, soon - and he is anywhere but here."
"Of course. Go then." A very slight pause. "My apologies, but I will rest. I will resume my own search near midday and alert you if I find anything."
"Don't apologize." Enough to show that even the slightest effort was appreciated. Közi bowed his head - however faint - though the show of respect was something that had yet to be seen from him otherwise.
"I will seek you out tomorrow - if not in thought then in person - whether I make a discovery or not. Until then."
And unlike the manner in which he'd come, Közi quite simply disappeared - he hadn't the time to be walking in the face of sunrise, and he needed to find a place to investigate quickly.
"Until then." And, just as he had said - once Közi had disappeared he retreated to his own place of rest. He would force himself awake when the time came, but for now he - not quite desperately, but the pull was strong - needed sleep.
