Summary; Having nothing better to do, Bane and Eve decide to sparr once again.
Log;

Eve slowly made her way to the forest area where she and Bane had battled before. It was in a nice clearing, so they wouldn't have to worry about burning down anything. Atleast she hoped so.

At first, she wasn't very serious about Bane's challenge.. but now that Aya had arrived, she felt it would do good to become stronger and to let out some frustration. For once, she was thankful for having someone of equal power to fight against. And he'd make quite a suitable mate, as well.

Eve reached the clearing, she waited for Bane to arrive. But despite his warning/suggestion, she was wearing her favorite dress. Was she trying to mock him?.. or perhaps she had a little trick up her sleeve.

Bane hopped down into the clearing from a tree and landed lightly on his feet. Slowly, he rose to his full height and faced his opponent. "I see you overdressed for the occasion, despite my advice," he said with a smirk. "I mean, honestly. Who spars in a dress?"

Bane was not prepared for this woman to simply disrobe in front of him, and it caught him off-guard for a moment. Her transformation was not unpleasant to the eye, though the extra pieces and claw-like hands detracted from her beauty somewhat. "Did you come here to fight or to show off your body?" he said. He began a transormation of his own, more metaphysical than physical, as he channeled the power of the Dark Side through him, the air around him dimmed and he began to crackle slightly with electricity. "Before we begin, I should ask you, how serious a battle do you want this to be?"

"I was hoping you would say that," Bane said with a grin. He reached out and enveloped a nearby tree in the Force, and with a swing of his arm he uprooted it from the ground and hurled it at Eve to start things off.

[OOC: Sorry for the delay, busy day around here. :\ ]

With the heightened awareness provided him through the Force, Bane could see the arrow coming to him almost as if in slow motion. It was a simple matter to dive to the side and let it pass him harmlessly. The resulting explosion when it hit the ground, however, he was not prepared for, and the shockwave knocked the wind out of him and threw him down. "I hate these flying creatures," Bane muttered to himself as he tumbled to his feet and hit the ground running, sending Force-hurled projectiles Eve's way as he tried to think of a way to get her back to the ground.

Hurling one last good-sized rock at Eve, Bane stopped his forward momentum as she came toward him, he considered activating his lightsaber but decided against; he didn't want to damage her too badly in this duel. Instead, as she came at him he enhanced his strength with a surge of Force power and made a lunge for one of her strange hair-claws, in an attempt to wrestle her to the ground.

With both hands busy with one of her claws, all Bane could do against the other was shift his weight so it caught him in the back instead of somewhere more vital. He clenched his teeth and grunted in pain as the charge coursed through him. Sinking into the Force, he did what he could to lessen the pain and absorb some of the energy coming at him as he reached around with his free hand and tried to grab hold of her other hair-claw and subdue it.

With only two hands, it was all Bane could do to keep the rest of her from harming him too much. He threw a blast of Force Lightning at her legs to keep them from moving too much and lunged for her other hair-claw, trying to pin both of them to the ground.

Surprised that she had stopped struggling, he met her look and smirked. "Does that mean you yield?" he said, amused. "No more tricks up your sleeve?"

You fool!; the thought that screamed in Bane's mind as the blast coursed through him and knocked him away from her. The pain of that full-on hit coupled with his rage at himself for missing something so obvious fueled the power within him, and he abandoned all pretense of holding back. With a snarl of rage he unclipped his lightsaber from his belt and activated both of its blades, the red and blue bars of energy glowing in stark contrast to each other as he charged her recklessly.

Bane skidded to a halt and stopped, holding his 'saber at his side and glaring up at Eve. Again she takes to the air, he thought to himself, annoyed.

"My dear," he said in a tone that was more than a little mocking, "if I controlled my temper this duel would not be nearly as interesting." He stood there staring up at her, the air around him darknening and shimmering as he slowly gathered energy around himself and waited to see what she would do next.

"Of course, we've been using them since we started," Bane replied. "The Force and your energy manipulation techniques are as much weapons as these blades," he said.

Bane answered the rat's strange roar by lifting his hand and levitating the creature several feet above the ground. It's little feet flailed in the air in vain as Bane smirked up at Eve. "Weapons are one thing," he said, "allies are quite another." He clenched his fist and twisted his hand, and with a sickening crunch and a yelp of pain it's head twisted at a completely unnatural angle. He smiled up at Eve and, with a wave of his arm he hurled the corpse of the creature in her direction.

Bane watched her carefully, keeping an eye out for anything tricky she might try. "I could," he said, "though there are ways of negating the ability, if one is sensitive and knows how to do so." He smirked. "Besides, you have a lovely neck, I would hate to damage it if I didn't have to."

"Then again," he said, "I'm sure if you really wanted to, you could combust me the same way you did that corpse. Unless my abilities prevent that particular trick from working?"

"You don't have the hart? Somehow I doubt that," he said. "Thank you though," Bane said in that mocking tone again. "Not many people I've gone up against put up as much of a fight as you do."

Bane noticed a strange look on her face and reached out with the Force, trying to get a sense of her emotions. There was something odd there, though he couldn't put his finger on what. He held his arms out to his side, deactivating his blade for now. "Shall we continue? Or did you have something else in mind?"

[identity profile] baneofmyexist.livejournal.com 2007-07-12 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Very well then," Bane replied, "we shall save it for another time."

"I can tend to your wounds if you wish," he said. Why he said them he couldn't say, they merely came out before he could stop them.

When she had been covered in spikes, rubbery appendages and other such unsightly modifications, Bane had found it a simple matter to ignore her nudity and do what needed to be done. When she reverted, it was all he could do not to stare. Not bothering to hide it, he watched her dress, and it was all he could do not to simply take her right then and there. Patience, he thought to himself. There is a time and place for everything. "I look forward to the challenge," Bane replied.
