LOG: COMPLETE

ahSaturday Morning, July 7th;
PG for possible language;
Doris Lang [[personal profile] hunterborn] and Arthur Hellsing [[profile] arthurhellsing];
Summary; Arthur invites Doris to tea in an attempt to take her mind off of her very public dream.
Log;
She wasn't quite sure why she was going to have tea with Arthur Hellsing. Considering she knew for a fact that he had seen her dream the night before she wasn't sure she could handle being in the same room with him.  But then again, with her luck the vast majority of the population had wandered in to her throwing herself at D and she wasn't aware of it.

"Oh God," she muttered, covering her face with her hand as she moved to the next foor up to meet him. "I am never going to live this down... It was bad enough with D originally--and then his father... and now this... They're going to think I'm a whore..."

Arthur could have endlessly teased the young lady for her vivid dreams but he knew there was more to the story then her just lusting after his grandson. Thus he take pity on her and decided a subject change and a change of scenery would suit them both.

After all he had been quite dead again and then suddenly brought back to consciousness again within the dreamscape. He needed the chance to fully get his bearings again and in the meantime he would get the opportunity to get to know Miss Lang a little better.

Stepping out of his apartment, after making sure the twin Alucards were asleep he headed out to meet Miss Lang.

"Ah, there you are Miss Lang. Are you ready to go?" he asked spotting her coming up the stairs.

"Have you had a chance to visit Cafe Juliet yet?" he asked, walking over to her.

Really it was quite a shame that D was insistent on keeping such a lovely young woman away. Perhaps he would help Alucard in convinicing D to reconsider.

Still maintaining some of the visages of a gentleman, Arthur held out an arm to the lady in order to give her a proper escort.

"Ah, then right this way, Miss Lang. I know it is dangerous at times but there are still some lovely things here in this City. You should try to explore a little more. I'm certain you could always ask Miss Victoria or my daughter if they would care to join you," he said kindly, offering her a genuine non-pervert smile.

He merely smiled at her reaction. It wasn't too surprising that she hadn't come across too many gentlemen where she came from but he was glad of her indulgence. He may have looked young but still in mind and soul he was quite old.

"In that case, I shall have to suggest to Integral that we all go to Pandora's for dinner some evening," he replied. "I didn't mean to imply you are afraid to explore alone. I just meant most outings tend to be more fun when you have company."

"I can understand that. It seems you share a couple of things in common with Integral in that respect," he replied smiling. "Well to be fair, Alucard did have a commanding presence before he became involved with our family. So D, likely inherited his commanding presence from them both," Arthur added with a slight laugh. "Alucard and Integral are more alike then either of them will ever admit."

Arthur snickered at hearing Alucard being referred to as quirky. "Alucard is rather a character especially when you compare his past and present selves that are within the City," he remarked.

"Hmm, it should not be much further now. I am rather glad the weather is fair today."

Arthur sighed, "Unfortunately yes. Frankly I am not sure how to react to him anymore after all it has been years for me since I was his Master last. And he didn't always maintain the form of a child either."

"My sentiments precisely," he replied as the Cafe came into view. "Ah and finally we arrive," he added with a smile.

"It is hard to miss," he said opening the door to allow Doris to enter first. "Ladies first, Miss Lang."

Well it had seemed he succeeded on taking her mind off the curse the day before and he smiled. "How about a window table?" he asked, pointing to some vacant tables and booths near the windows. "No need not to enjoy the day." He added.

He lead the way over to one of the tables he pointed out while waving a waitress over. "After the crazy weather week I am glad to see they have decided to make the days more tolerable," he said, as he pulled out Doris' chair for her. Still being a gentleman.

"I'm not much a fan of extremes hot or colds but I am certainly more use to dealing with cold then heat," he replied.

Arthur took the seat across from Doris as the waitress walked up to hand them menus. "I know we came for tea but if you are hungry feel free to order some food," he said checking over the menu. He would likely only be snacking since he did not actually need food.

"I certainly agree. I have never experienced heat of that extreme. It was amazing no one actually died of heat exhaustion," he replied scanning the menu. "Anything striking your fancy?" he asked, eyes still on the menu.

"Hmm, well I usually try out their muffins and scones when I drink tea here. I haven't eaten any of their sandwich selections. Integral seems to like their tarts. Do you have a sweet tooth or are in you the mood for something more filling?" He replied.

"It is my treat since I did offer the invitation." He added with a smile.
