Summary; Near asked about finding a jigsaw puzzle so Ran was happy to help. Little dose she know that he has other things on his mind as well.
Log; It was a really nice day out. People were kind of freakin Ran out with there outbursts and what not, but what ever. It was not like she was out of her mind. Her puppy Yellow was bounding along side her. It was hard to not be anything else but happy with such a cheerful puppy. She said she would meet Near at Pandora's, so that is where she found herself. Yellow seemed a bit tired so she picked the puppy up and waited.

Near was already waiting at Pandora's, sitting on a chair outside with one knee up to his chest and the other leg tucked under him, a finger in his hair twirling. He saw a girl approach him, a girl he assumed was the one who would take him to see the store with the jigsaw puzzles. He waited for her to approach him.

Ran felt as if she was being watched. She was wearing a mini skirt and what looked to be a corset like top, but it was made out of denim, with straps. She was a tinny girl but wearing her 5 1/2inch shoes made her look taller. She looked over at someone who was looking at her. “Hey, are you Near?” Yellow jumped out of her arms and ran over to the boy, sniffing at the chair. “Oh come back here Yellow.”

Near looked up, the finger still in his hair. He smiled at her. "Aa. I am. Kotobuki-san was it?"

He looked down at the dog, then his eyes slowly led themselves up her legs to her--very short-- skirt and up to the top. Interesting...

“Yeah, that is my name, but please call me Ran.” she smiled. He looked so young. “Hey, Near, how old are you?” She tapped her hip with her hand and whistled. “Here Yellow. Come here.” She smiled as the puppy came to her feet and she picked her up.

Near, not feeling quite himself because of the curse, looked up into Ran's face for the first time. She was pretty. Not overly gorgeous, but quite attractive. 'I'm 18. And you?' He looked at the dog sitting in Ran's arms as he folded his hands on his knee.

Ran smiled. "I am 16, but my birthday is on the 14th. You look younger then 18." the puppy started to squirm so she put it down again, leash firmly in hand. "So, you wanted to find a puzzle? come on, let's go to the toy store." she had her always-happy smile on.

'My birthday is on the 24th,' he replied, trying to make conversation. Near had a nagging feeling in the back of his mind that he shouldn’t be telling Ran this, but the effects of the curse washed this doubt away. 'Aa. Let's go,' he replied, carefully getting up and walking towards her, slightly hunched.

“I will remember that then.” She looked at him, finding his manner a little funny, but shrugging it off. “What kind of jigsaw puzzle are you looking for? It’s been a long time since I made one of those.” The puppy trotted happily between them.

'Anything with a lot of pieces and that will be difficult,' he replied easily, glancing down at the dog, and then looking up at Ran. He noticed that she had a red streak in her hair. 'Ran, why the red streak?'

huh? Oh this." She twirled the red streak of hair on her finger. "I did it because I like to stand out really. GALS do it to say they have a boy friend, which I do, but I had this before I was dating Kira as well." She smiled at him. "Is that your real hair color?"

He blinked. 'Dating...Kira?' he asked, ignoring the latter question for now.

"Yeah, Kira Yamato is his name. Have you meet him before?" she tilted her head at him.

He sighed. 'No...I'm sorry I was thinking of someone else,' he replied. 'And yes this is my natural hair color....'

Ran smiled. "That's really cool, I know someone else who has white hair naturally." she looked ahead of them and placed her hand behind her head. "Hey, look, the toy store." she smiled and skipped ahead to the door. "I wonder if they will let yellow in with us."

Near looked into the toy store. 'Thank you for guiding me here, Ran,' he said. Looking down at the puppy, he said, 'If they don't, we can always come back out. It wont take me long.' He then gave Ran his best smile as he headed inside.

Ran nodded, he had a cute smiled. "All right" and headed in after him. They did not yell at her, so she walked behind Near With the puppy on her leash. "What other things do you like?"

Walking towards the puzzles/game section, Near put a finger in his hair and twirled, as he responded, 'Toy models and puzzles.'

Ran was looking at all the toys that the shop had. She was not one for them normally but these looked cool. "Oh? That’s interesting, you must like to put things together then, right? Do you make models of mobile suits? Kira actually has one, He has taken me flying in it. It's really cool."

A bit surprised, Near looked at her, but the surprise was gone. 'That's nice. I don't make the models, although I enjoy playing with them. I like legos especially.' He was looking at the 1000 piece puzzles and found one that was all white. Good. Just like his one back home. He picked up the box and turned to Ran. 'What does Ran like?'

Ran looked a bit curious at the puzzle, one like that would not reply on color but the connections themselves. "I love to dance and have fun with my friends. I like to meet new people and help those that need it." she smiled. "this place is a lot different from Shibuya, so I am trying to get used to it. how are you adapting, did you find some friend from your world?"

Near looked at Ran seriously right into her eyes as he said, 'I do not have friends from my world. Only acquaintances.' He went to the counter and then realized that he didn’t have any money. The guy behind the counter explained the whole money thing in the City. Near found a few lego pieces in his pocket and used those for barter, then took the puzzle.

Ran blinked, she was really confused. "Well that is better then nothing, right?" She smiled when he got his puzzle. "You know, I will be your friend if you want."

Looking away a bit, he replied, 'It is probably best that we are not. It could put you in danger. That is the last thing I want.'

Ran smiled. "That is really sweet of you Near." She walked closer. "However there is always danger when you open up to someone, right? Living life is a dangerous thing, but I want to live this life as best I can." She took his hand and squeezed it. "Come one Near, lets go get some cake"

He smiled up at her. So...the cute thing was working after all....All he had to do was keep this up...'Aa. All right,' he replied softly, not wanting to be the first to let go of the other hand in his own.

Ran thought he was very cute. Hardly acting his age, but that was ok. Ran kept a hold of his hand until they got to the door, were she had to let go to push it open. "I know this really great place called Cafe Juliet, I know you will like it." She picked up Yellow and opened the door, waving good-bye the person behind the desk.

Near made to look like he frowned a bit as the hand broke away from his. Yes...she was pretty, had a nice body...and she was a nice girl to top it off. She would be perfect. 'If I'm with Ran, why wouldn't I like it?' he asked, looking downward, as though shyly.

Ran tilted her head at him. This was not the way most guys acted around her. She was confused. “Come on Near, don’t say things like that.” She put down Yellow and smiled at him, extending out her hand to encourage him to come with her. “You’re a cool person to hang out with too, so how about that cake.”

Near back looked up at her. He had misjudged her. The cute thing was, in actuality, not working. After the cake, Near decided he would leave. Possibly search the network for someone who might want to "experiment" with him...

"Thank you Ran. Yes, let's get some," he replied, following her lead.

*They went for the cake and had a nice time and then Near left to go find... yeah, what he really wanted*
