Summary: Greed and Lilith decide to partake of copious amounts of ice cream together. Hey, it's at least close to being a date, right?
Log:

Greed was waiting casually outside the Ark II, just as he said he would. He did regret that things turned out as they did. He really like Tessla. She was a cute little kid. It wasn't her fault that he was such a bad role model for her. Hey, he let her have fun, right?

"Ah well," he said to himself, letting out a sigh, "I guess it doesn't matter in the end."

He shook his head and looked around for his date.

"Oh yeah!" he excitedly said, offering his arm to her. Ever since his talk with Sakura, he was trying to regain some of the manners he had been lax in, as of late, "It's not quite Cafe Juliet. It's more out of the way. Cafe Juliet is always crowded, and I wanted a quiet place."

He eyed her up and down, studying her.

"Hm. You're pretty tall! That's very nice! Statuesque."

Lilith hesitated and rejected the arm. "I'm sorry. Could we keep this appointment friendly? Please?" she requested. Locking arms could be taken as a sign of romantic interest and she had none. "Ah, alright."

She knitted her brows together.

"Do you think so? My height is... a little above average but not really that tall, Greed. The way I stand and walk may give you that false impression."

"Ooh, ouch," he laughed, hiding his displeasure at being blown off, "I guess I hoped for too much, eh?"

He lined up beside and slightly ahead of her, pointing in the direction they needed to go in.

"Down this way a few blocks. It's practically a straight line. The place just doesn't really stick out that much. As for the height thing, I guess maybe that might have somethin' to do with it."

"Friendship isn't treasured enough?" Lilith questioned him with a smile. She did not have... interest in other types of relationships, not with her role as the Black Madonna and her complicated feelings toward Abel. Just like with Legato, she wouldn't mislead Greed to give false hopes.

Nodding, Lilith followed the directions. "I was told the City likes to change the locations. I wonder if it follows a pattern."

"Ya' have to understand, most of my friendships have a sexual aspect to them. It's just unexpected, is all," he shrugged, "Ah, well. Whatever."

Greed quickly moved beyond his disappointment, not one to dwell on things. They rounded a small corner as he pointed out a sign in the distance. You'd have to have been looking for it to see it. It was a carved sign of an ice-cream man jumping over the moon.

"That's the place up there!"

"Then ours will be one of the lucky few that doesn't have one, Greed," she said gently.

She looked up at Greed's remark and spotted the store. It looked quiet and less crowded than Cafe Juliet. The layout was less catchy at sight, yet appealing at the same time.

"It looks like a nice store."

"Found it totally by accident, one day. I was just walkin' around and here I was," he said as they approached. He walked a little ahead of her and opened the door. Cool air rushed out to meet them at the entrance, "After you, Lilith."

"Thank you." Lilith entered first and headed directly in direction of the counter to see the variety of flavors and the options offered to combine them. She scanned over the names and waited for Greed to ask first.

Greed took her up on the offer and quickly picked out 14 scoops of various flavours, and one banana sundae. He carefully hefted the tray of creamy delights and started to move to the nearest tables.

"I'll find us a good spot, Lilith. You just order your stuff," he said, concentrating on balancing the meal."

Lilith assented with her head and ordered one scoop of vanilla ice cream. She liked the most flavor-less like food, unlike Abel's and Cain's extreme eating habits.

Then she turned, looking for Greed and the spot he had chosen to sit on.

After taking his seat, he put out some napkins and started hungrily devouring the sundae.

"So tell me, how long have you guys existed? You and the others like ya'."
