He should be scared, but he was never very good at that. Instead, he smiles at the Captain, and there's a fair amount of hunger in it. "So good to finally meet you." A table and a couple chairs from a cafe across the street disentangle themselves from each other quietly.

He reached down and unhooked one of the immense Mauser Broomhandles from his belt.

The chairs and table stopped moving as he readied himself. "Going for the easy option? Seems a little unfair, if you ask me."

Then, moving faster than any human could hope to move, his other hand unlatched the other Mauser and he sent a hail of enormous bullets towards Sylar at a speed an Uzi would be proud of.

All but one, which grazed his right ear, taking a chunk out of the earlobe. His eyes widened and he held up a now-shaking hand. As he opened the palm, the bullets shot back towards the Captain.
Sylar put his other hand up to his ear. It wasn't so much that it hurt as that it was suddenly so loud. Damn gunfire.

A glanced upward would reveal him leaping over the bullets, turning to bring his leg down onto Sylar from above.

His thoughts and his actions were completely detached. What he did was yell really loudly as the arm snapped. He also reached around and grabbed the Captain's shoulder with his other hand. Ice spread instantly from it, and Sylar's intent was to freeze him completely.

Almost immediately, it began growing back. The Captain brought his other foot around to keep his balance.

He stood, holding his cracked arm tenderly at the shoulder, trying to decide on his next move. He'd mostly decided on shattering two floors worth of glass pane and centering the shards on the Captain when he realizes that his hands were glowing.
...well, that decided that. He let go of his shoulder and held his hands out, staring at them with fascination and the beginnings of worry as they got brighter.

What the Captain had was not a "power". It was a condition.
He stared at the glowing hands for a moment, then shrugged. He reached out to Sylar's neck to squeeze a pressure point.

He gasped at the pain and collapsed onto the ground, falling on his broken arm. Pathetic. He'd need more. More abilities and more practice.
His head rolled back onto the asphalt, his hands stopped glowing. And then he was still.

Somehow, he had a feeling the Doctor would want this one.
Picking up Sylar as if weighed nothing, he bent his legs and shot up into the air, pushing off of Building 12 and towards the Deus ex Machina.
