Log ; Ongoing
When; Now-ish [8/15 ; no curse]
Rating; PG-13 at best
Characters; Gil Elliott [
andromedacanrot] and A. Crowley [
sauntering_down]
Summary; Gil has a lovely dinnertime chat with his would-be murderer.
Log;
Gil hadn’t had a good meal since...
Since...
Since...
Shit.
Gil hadn’t had a good meal in a long, long time.
So he was, if anything, looking forward to the food. Back in his world, they had no money. Moreso, Nnamdi couldn’t steal everything, and it was easier to steal from crap places, anyway.
So any offering of food was good. He sat down at the restaurant Crowley had suggested, readying his chopsticks, and waited for the demon to arrive.
The food made up for the fact that he was going to have to explain the most depressing thing in his life to someone who had tried to kill him.
The most depressing thing in his life...
His life, actually.

“Um...” Gil paused, and played with his chopsticks, “I- I can’t really remember.”

"...why?"

"I've been busy."

"You've been too busy to eat."
so not believeing that. Try again.

"Yeah. Busy."
He coughed, "Anyway, yeah. That's me. Since I came here, it's been attracting more things to kill than just haints, so you got pulled in." A pause, "...sorry."

He waved off the apology, ordering another round of sushi, and some sashimi to take home. Aziraphale would have his head (not literally, of course) if he went out for sushi and didn't bring him home any. He made a mental note to pick up a nice Zinfandel on the way home to go with it. Gluttony was a sin, after all, and Crowley was more than willing to revel in it.
"It's fine. You couldn't help it." He snatched up a piece of yellowtail with his chopsticks. "Though it does explain why you freaked when you first met Az. Your angels sound as nasty as the ones from Alexiel and Rosiel's world." He popped the raw fish in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully.

"Well... the last thing is," He shrugged, might as well tell this part, "When my whole family dies? The FOg have special orders to pick me up and put me somewhere haints can get me, so they can just all come to one place and the FOG can pick 'em off easily. That's the real reason I freaked. Since... Jess isn't here, and all."
And more sushi was coming? God, this was awesome.

"Shit, kid." he stated, with a shake of his head. "That definitely explains it." He leaned back a bit as their server took the old tray of sushi away and replaced it with a new one, also handing Crowley the take-home box for Aziraphale. He nodded a thank you before turning his attention back to the sushi. "So where have you been staying all this time, if your brother's not here?"

Shrugged shrugged, murmuring low, "P-park bench," It was what Jess would've told him to do, anyway.

"Yeah." He sighed, "Unless you think me living in an apartment so my next door neighbors can get brutally murdered."

He continued to eat, wondering if he should take some home with him.
