RP Log: Seishirou, Kamui, and Sakurazuka Subaru [COMPLETE]
When; Saturday August 5, afternoon.
Rating; PG.
Characters; Sakurazuka Seishirou, Shirou Kamui, and Sakurazuka Subaru.
Summary; Past and future collide in the city...
Log;
So far, the day was looking more promising than the last; and yet there still was a sleek black umbrella in his hand as he walked down along the streets. As far as Seishirou could tell, the sky was merely somewhat cloudy.. pools of water still remained on the ground, resembling shards of some ethereal mirror that seemingly broke and fell to the earth. As he walked on, he stepped in a shallow puddle, causing the water to ripple his reflection as he walked off, seemingly with purpose. The casual air he had about him almost contradicted such, but there was no mistaking the fact that he was heading directly for something.
Unknowingly to others with a low sense for supernatural abilities at work, he did have a target in mind. While it was only for a brief moment, he had sent out his shikigami to investigate the whereabouts of Sumeragi Subaru. What was interesting, however, was that Nandarou had shown him a brief glimpse of what looked like a much older, more solemn Subaru... How intriguing. Briefly, he had to wonder how this worked in contrast to the workings of onmyoudo; however, it did seem as though contradictory, almost impossible, things did occur in this city. Most of the rules no longer seemed to apply. No holds barred... now that was an interesting way to live.
His eye travelled down the expanse of street that lie before him. He was somewhere ahead. A small smile curved his lips as he kept on at a lazy pace. He had planned to have a quick cigarette before, but the thought was abandoned. A little exercise in self-control was good for the spirit at times. And he could tell that he was just so close...

"Um..." Kamui scratched the back of his head lightly as he pointed to the object, stopping a good distance from it. "This is the carousel that I wanted to attack." Yeah. Totally a good way of introducing it. "I don't know much about it, but I've been told that it's connected to the clock that counts down to the end of worlds." He looked up at the older man. "I was hoping that maybe if I did something to it, the end of our world could somehow be stopped." Seemed logical enough, at least to Kamui.

Not that the yukata had been colorful, but it had shown more than he was comfortable with anymore.
Something had been nagging in the back of Subaru's mind for awhile now, but when Kamui started talking about the carousel, Subaru shook it off and directed his attention towards it. Mismatched gaze trained on it, he slowly walked around it. It was hard to really concentrate on it with how loud the city was... So full of people. Ugh.
"I suppose that makes sense. There might be a connection, but how? Would destroying it make all the kekkai indestructible? You claimed that there are others who have already faced an apocalypse? So then has this counted down before now?" He wondered if touching it or climbing on it was allowed, and reached out a hand to touch one of the horses.

There were already so many risks present with this situation. Not that it mattered, really. Seishirou simply wanted to satiate his curiosity.
He could sense the presence growing stronger, and at an exponentially quicker pace than it had before he had made his detour. The course was more direct... a few degrees off from the intended locale, but it was still decent enough. The thought of running briefly flashed through his mind, but it was quickly rejected. He had to remain off the radar. Running like a lunatic through the alleys wasn't the way to do that. His normally tolerant patience, though, was running dry.

He jolted suddenly as he felt a familiar, and rather unappreciated, aura approaching them. It was faint and still seemingly far away, but... still. Damn it. Kamui couldn't help but growl to himself, "He's coming..." Great. Just what he needed.

"I apologize. I let my curiosity get the best of me..."
Of course, Subaru had been able to sense something for awhile. He was just so trained to seek Seishirou, even after so long... Kamui's confirmation, as quiet as it was, didn't escape Subaru's ears, and it brought a shiver that tickled up along his spine and made him visibly shudder and turn.
And that was when the rain started again. It had decided to lighten up for a bit, but apparently the light sprinkle didn't last long, and once again Subaru found himself wet. Though he hardly looked like a drowned rat this time. With how piercing his gaze was, and stiff his shoulders were, he almost would have looked menacing...if there hadn't been that hint of terror practically emanating off of him.

Another detour had to be made. This time, though, he turned the opposite direction after walking out from the long alleyway he had leisurely paced through. As he walked, he took the glasses he had left resting comfortably in his shirt pocket and replaced them with a gentle shove onto the bridge of his nose. Smiling pleasantly, he weaved through the rushing crowds that were headed toward any sort of relief from the sudden change in weather. And, at least seventy metres to his right, he saw two people out of the corner of his eye standing at the carousel.
One of them... was his intended target.

He looked up to his companion, shaking from anger, knowing that surely Subaru had noticed as well. How could he have not? Subaru was extremely connected to this person, as much as Kamui hated that fact. "Subaru... are you okay?" he asked, already knowing the answer. This would not bode well, and, goddamnit, Kamui couldn't kill that bastard with Subaru here, either.

Kamui's inquiry made Subaru react more than the knowledge that he was near, and he finally caught the man out of the corner of his eye. Without fully turning, his hands shot out. The ofuda he'd had when he first came here had gotten rather ruined, so Subaru had needed to make more at Kamui's..which had gone rather well, and he was more than a little grateful now.
Before the rain could soak them beyond repair, they had already shifted, and doves soon circled Seishirou's location. Not attacking, but merely...making a spectacle of.
He would not let Seishirou pretend that he was hiding any longer.

His smile faded to a mild look of bewilderment. "Just how did you all find me?" he asked the doves with a canted head, peering about through the feathers for the perpetrator. Again, he caught sight of the two by the carousel; however, he stared right at them before, once more, he smiled warmly. Odd sight to behold... peering through the rain and white wings, he now could see more closely the one in all black... That had to be Subaru.

He glared toward Seishirou more fiercely, trying his damnedest to keep his power from flaring up. When he got angry like this, it was extremely hard not to lash out uncontrollably. He just hoped... that after his last time of losing control... he'd learned to rein his powers much better.

At Kamui's temper, Subaru shifted his hand to rest it on the younger boy's shoulder for just a moment before he dropped it and stepped away, slowly walking in Seishirou's direction. He needed to see him, and he hoped Kamui understood that.
The doves stopped flapping their wings as he drew near, and the ofuda fluttered to the ground in a circle around Seishirou's feet, the rain beating away the ink.
Seeing him again like this... Well, it wasn't just a figure of speech to say it was like the first time. Seishirou still had both eyes...he was still wearing those glasses...still wearing those suits.
"Oh, Seishirou-san," he murmured as he finally came to a stop in front of him. He was surprised at how calm he sounded. Jaded. Inside he could feel what was left of his heart being ripped to shreds all over again.
"Do you know who I am?"

He looked at the other with a somewhat puzzled look. This Subaru... he was also quite cool in his manners. Though, if he knew any better, there was a storm raging within him. The desire to see if he could bring that to the surface was tempting. "You know my name?" he asked, blinking before moving to raise the umbrella to cover Subaru, as well. "How curious... I don't remember meeting you..."
And, truth be told, he didn't remember meeting this Subaru. Though... it was hard to ignore who it was, all the same.

Subaru didn't know what to do at first. He had lectured Kamui about how he shouldn't be messing with these things...and how he shouldn't be trying to change the past... But it was so tempting. Perhaps if he could just make Seishirou realize how faulty everything had gone...
He wouldn't let Seishirou continue his bluff. Not with him.
"You've met me. You met me when I was only nine...in front of a cherry tree. Don't you remember...? Because I most certainly do."

"Is that so?" he asked, neither indicating he knew what Subaru was explaining nor that he was denying the knowledge. Neutral. Seishirou smiled, looking from over Subaru's shoulder briefly before again looking to the one before him. "And who might you be...? I would have certainly remembered you and your pretty accomplice, I'd think."

Well, he was no longer sixteen. He was no longer fooled. And he could play games, too... Perhaps not the lying game, but he could get his point across in his own way.
This hurt so much. Oh how it hurt.
"Sakurazuka Subaru, the current Sakurazukamori."

Soon, a knowing smile curved on his lips. There had to be much more to this tale than met the eye... and he was a voracious listener when it came to a good story. "I see..." An almost serene look brightened his eyes as he stared over Subaru's shoulder. The other... he knew who it was. And it was most unfortunate that he was there. "Were you in the middle of something important? You look rather hungry..."
It was now a top priority that he have a moment alone with this Subaru...

Two mis-matched eyes glanced to his side at Kamui, then back to Seishirou. "I have already eaten, and we were in the middle of something. However..."
He turned to face Kamui. "It's raining very hard now, and I don't think it's going to let up. I can't really see the city like this. Kamui-san, please forgive me, but I think it's important that I speak with him." Alone, he added silently, and though his tone was gentle, his eyes glittered in their severity through the rain.

He turned to the one he hated, his expression fierce again. "I'll let you have him for now, but if you dare do anything to him, I'll make sure you regret it." So... he was a little protective. So what?

"You shouldn't remain outside in this weather for too long," he encouragingly remarked. "I fear you'll catch cold." Holding the umbrella over Subaru, he walked onward, heading toward the alleyway he had just passed through. The safest place for such a conversation would be in his apartment... which was where he would lead the other. He was guaranteed such precious privacy there the instant he walked through the door.
