Log: Ongoing
When: August 30th, late afternoon
Rating: Everyone
Characters: Kurama [
banditfox], Shiori [
minaminookaasan], Hiei [
3redeyes], Kuronoe [
nobamboopls] and open to others who live in the apartment.
Summary: Anyone is bound to be a little confused after being unconscious for almost three days, right?
Log:
He's not sure how long it's been quiet. He's not sure when he fell asleep. Generally, he remembers these sorts of things. The last time he felt so uncertain of where and when and how was when ... Actually, he's not sure when the last time was. Best to focus on what he does know, then, and move on from there.
Fact: He's aware.
Fact: He's Kurama.
An excellent start, but he needs to move on past that to something more comprehensive. He's aware, but how does he feel? Sore, he decides, which doesn't bode well at all. His head hurts. He wonders if he should open his eyes, but part of him is content to keep to the dark. If he drifts off again, the questions will go away. He's tired; he doesn't want to deal with them.
Something won't let him, though. Instinct? He knows that feeling nothing is dangerous. Far better to be aware, to know there are questions. The pain in his head is worse, more present. He winces without really being aware of it, notes idly that it's not normal to wake up in this kind of pain.

Shiori returned to the little room where her son is sleeping, where he’s been for three days, and she sits next to him, again, in the same spot she’s been in for so long. She sighs, and looks down at her boy.
“Shuuichi...” Though she knows he can’t hear her.

He pushes open the door, folding his wings in so he could slip through the door without scraping them against the door frame.
"How is he?"

Now the bat was there, the Jagan told him, and his human mother had returned to him. She rarely left, and his former partner, Kuronoe, visited often.
Hiei didn’t need to visit. He could watch.
And so he did, he watched. Anyway, if he went inside, he’s track ash.

She didn’t see the hand movement, she wasn’t overly observant, her eyes settling on his face, most often, though she tried not to gaze at him in the presence of a guest... It was rude.

"He's strong he'll wake up so.." He'd started to speak, wanting to say something reassure Shiori, though he stopped once he noticed Kurama's hand move. Scarlet eyes immediately turned to focus on Kurama.
"I think he just moved."
no subject
Moved?
He checked and rechecked what he had last seen, the room from all angles and layouts...
Yes, a movement, a twitch.
Not much, though, nothing to get one’s hopes up about, but, still...
It meant he’d be waking up.
Eventually.

His eyes opened. "Kaasan?"

She bent down to him, repressing the urge to give a big hug, to welcome him, to hold him so close he’d never leave again, but instead held back, “Y-you’re awake.”
It wouldn’t do to cry, now.
no subject
"About time you woke up, Kurama."

He closed his eyes once more, all save the hardest working one, and continued to watch them, awaiting any sign that he should enter. He knew he probably shouldn’t, he was covered in soot and blood (mostly his own, mostly) and it would track everywhere; he didn’t want Yukina trying to clean it up as he knew she would attempt.
So Hiei just watched.
Of course, if he had to enter, well, then... He’d rise to the occasion.

"W- ... Kuronoe?"
no subject
“Yes... Kuronoe.” She nodded, not understanding, “Your friend?”

"Don't act so surprised, I wouldn't have vanished in the three days you were unconcious."
He was fidgeting with his pendant again, regained after the curse reversed him to his childhood.

He’d seen the fox’s dreams before, though, it wasn’t unlikely that was the case... if it wasn’t, then he’d have to pry.
No detail was ever too small to warrant suspicion.

“Your room, of course.” Another smile.

"Hm... I need some basil next..." At the sound of voices coming from down the hall she paused in mid-stir to listen carefully.

He frowned a bit. Memory loss was never a good sign.
no subject
...Memory loss? Possible, but what were the chances of that affecting a youkai, especially a youkai like Kurama. Very likely he was just disoriented. Unconsciousness does that, sometimes.

“You...” She sighed, deeply, “You killed him... and then, you got knocked unconscious...”

"It was Karasu." He added, remembering with more than a bit of pleasure the occasion not so long ago he'd cut off a few fingers from the crow.

"No tact..." Hiei muttered. Kuronoe had no tact.
no subject
"He was dead," Kurama insisted to Kuronoe. "So were you."
His gaze fixed on the window, framed by plants and doubtless protected by wards. "Hiei," he called. "I know you're there. Don't leave Kuronoe and my mother to explain this to me alone."
no subject
"Ah... yes. The dead can be... here." How much did he know, how much didn't he know? What was wrong?

"You can come in, Yukina."
no subject
Hiei shifted in the trees. Yes, the fox had definately forgotten something, now, and they would have to sort it out for themselves.
If he could help it... he wasn't going in that room.

"You must be so confused." She looked to him, warmly and sympathetically.
