"Greed-san."
It was good to see a familiar face after so much time. Hinata hadn't realized how very much of a hermit she had allowed herself to become since Neji had left the City until she thought back over the last time she really went out. Well, other than to the hospital or to train. Those.... honestly had been nearly all she seemed to do these days. Work. Train. Chase away the loneliness and the pain with memories.
Try to keep herself from noticing the chill of her skin, the lack of heartbeat. The way, if she didn't really think about it, she would stop breathing and not notice it. The fact... that she was dead. Trapped. Forever away from the one person she most wanted to see.
Shaking her head slightly to clear it, the petite shinobi smiled and stepped aside to allow the tall man inside. "It's good to see you. It seems like it's been a long time."

"Missed seein' ya' around, beautiful," he said, eye scanning down over her dress. He felt a flash of lust just then, but tried to suppress it, and something else as best he could.
He brought his other arm around to give her a small bouquet of roses.
"For you."

Smiling softly, keeping white eyes downcast, she took the proferred bouquet with a nod. "Thank you, Greed-san. They're lovely. Let me put them in some water, and then we can go, ok?"
Heading back into the kitchen, she filled a vase with water, setting the roses into it. Pausing for just a moment, she took the time to take a deep breath, and calm the nervous flutter in her stomach. It was alright. She wasn't doing anything wrong by going out with him. She wasn't forgetting Neji, she was just going out. With a friend. There was no need to feel guilty for it.
Making her way back to the door, she smiled and nodded, slipping on her shoes. "We can go now, Greed-san."

He walked out of the area and was soon moving past the fountain at the center of the city.
"We're goin' to the roof of the temple, babe. The stars are bright and I've already ordered the sushi to be brought to us. It'll be fun. That okay?"
no subject
It was a bit unusual, but then she supposed that was just Greed. Always fun, always a bit strange at times. But always Greed. Craning her neck around, she smiled at the new sensation of suddenly being higher up than everyone else. "The temple roof? That sounds nice, Greed-san. I like watching the stars on my roof at night, it'll be fun to have some company for the stargazing."
no subject
"This is fun, eh?" he laughed, taking a high leap up. He alighted on a branch and began to bound from tree to tree, only coming down when he reached the front entrance of the temple. He put her down and led her inside, removing his shoes and vest.
"Follow me."

As Greed set her down, she cast white eyes around the temple, taking in old structures and stonework. Looking up as he headed down the hall, she nodded and kicked off her own shoes, following close behind.

"Come on up, babe," he said, moving up, "It's quite a walk."
They crossed several floors until Greed veered off toward another doorway on the 7th, moving out into the open air. A large, flat rooftop stretched out ahead of them, looking out over the city. The lack of ambient light served to brighten the stars for them. a comforter with cushion seats was already laid out.

It was such a nice gesture, for him to do all of this for her. Making her way over to the cushion, she settled down, folding feet underneath her.

"Take what ya' want, babe."

Taking a bite, Hinata chewed thoughtfully, a small smile on her face. "This is wonderful, Greed-san. Thank you."

"I...haven't really done much in particular, Greed-san. Mostly just worked on my training. But I did get a job at the hospital. It's... a nice change. And I have a new roommate now so I'm not on my own any longer."
no subject
"Good. I'm glad to see that you're findin' your place around here. It's hard to get along without somethin' to feel useful for," he said, gulping down the ginger slices, "It's good to stay busy."
