Log; Complete
When; Thursday; No-Self-Control Day
Rating; PG-13 for lovey-doveyness
Characters; Erik (
musicalcorpse) and Christine (
angel_aria)
Summary; It's no-self-control day, so the two lovebirds obviously are wanting some one-on-one time together.
Log;
The Opera House was mostly silent, its occupants oblivious to the raucous created outside. Almost everyone had seemed to lose all control, and Christine was no exception. It wasn't as if the curse had suddenly thrown these emotions on her; she had felt this way for Erik for quite some time. The curse was just nudging her along with nothing but encouragement.
She ascended the stairs towards the manager's office, forcing herself to not run the rest of the way. She paused for a moment outside of the door, checking to make sure she looked presentable. She normally wasn't vain, but she wanted to look beautiful for her Angel of Music.
Taking a deep breath, Christine knocked on the door lightly, waiting for his response. No matter how close they became, she knew that he would still value his privacy.

"Christine," his thin hands grasped the door frame as he took in every detail of her face knowing that this moment and the rest that would follow were to be cherished. Erik remembered himself and drew away from the door to let her pass, "Do come in."

This was her first time being in his room, surprisingly enough, and her eyes roamed it in wonder, yet always seeming to drift back to Erik, his cloak draping him like a second shadow. There were many things in the room familiar to her: the coffin bed, the pipe organ against one wall, the music box with the monkey-playing-the-cymbals attached sitting on a small side table.
'This is almost as exactly as I remember it,' she told him. He hasn't changed a bit...but I would not want it any other way, she thought, meeting his eyes shyly. She felt like a giddy schoolgirl who has finally managed to spend some time with her young love.

It was then that a slight shiver went through him. The mask... As deftly as he could, Erik lifted the mask enough to reveal his mouth properly to kiss the top of her hand.

'I love you,' she said, her heart racing. This was the first time she had vocalized it, and it sounded sweet on the tip of her tongue; the curse encouraged her to say it again. 'I love you, Erik.'

With his heart beating in a drumming manner, he nodded to answer her unasked question to remove the mask.

She moved closer to him, standing on her tip-toes slightly to kiss his lips softly. 'I am not afraid,' she told him. 'Not anymore...' She kissed him once again in confirmation, her lips lingering a moment or two longer than she had anticipated. Everything was perfect. This was something they should have done years ago.

With his eyes shut he was about to protest when she moved her hands away from his face but they were replaced by a much sweeter sensation. A kiss, a true kiss for Erik at long last. Erik brought his hands to rest at Christine's waist, mildly marveling at their proximity as his mouth moved against hers. Each time they moved to part he requested silently for another kiss.

Overcome with emotion, she could feel tears begin to well up. She fought them as best she could, but a trickle or two managed to escape her. 'I am so sorry for what I had done to you...before,' she murmured. The past was something that haunted everyone, and its pain was relentless. He had been too shocked when she had first arrived to register her apology before, but she felt it was needed. 'I will never hurt you again, my sweet, dear Erik.'

Erik sighed with each and every small kiss. She did not scream nor shrink from him. It was as though he were any other person. Erik felt like he was like every other person and it was a gift.
He gasped lightly when he watched two clear and crystaline tears roll down her cheeks. His heart clenched painfully reminding him how fast it had swelled. Was there something wrong? Was this to end? No.
Her words resonated in the air, soothing the dawning dread. "Christine," Erik brought a finger to rest on her full lips, "no apologies or thoughts of a past that has scarred us both. It is a passing shadow of a memory that shall shrink to nothing with the memories will will create." He craned his neck and kissed her tears, stroking her cheek.
She truly loves me.

If this is the fate the City condemns me to, I go to it willingly, she thought, meeting her lips with his for another kiss. Pulling away slightly, she withdrew one hand from behind his neck to wipe the remaining tears away, the other toying with his hair gently. 'So, monsieur...we've made a good start on our new life together, oui?' she smiled. 'What do you wish for?'
She was curious as to what he wanted. He had always been more than willing to give her what she wanted, but now it was his turn. At this point, she felt like she would give him the moon if that was what he wished for.

After so long we are together. A life, an eternity! Forever and a day shall we be together!
"Christine, I could not ask for anything more than what I have right now."
He kissed her again, and his arms lifted her up as he held the kiss as long as he could until they sat on a burgundy chaise lounge.

What Raoul and I had was nothing compared to this. This is real, this is love, and this is Erik. With him I will remain for all of the eternity that comes with death. Christine drew back once more to nuzzle his neck gently, returning to his lips soon after. It was as if they were magnets drawn to eachother. They couldn't seem to stop, and they didn't care. This curse truly was a blessing in disguise.
