Log: Ongoing
When; Today
Rating; PGish?
Characters; Isshin, Ichigo, Rukia, Yuzu, anyone else who wants to take part in the reunion.
Summary; Isshin, newly returned to the City, gets to reunite with his family
Log;
Rukia was thankful she wasn't the sort to fidget. If she had been, then there was a great likelihood that she would have found herself shuffled and stuck into the position of fluttering around the apartment and dusting things that didn't need to be dusted or straightening things that were already straight -- both of which seemed like highly pointless things to her in the first place -- and she really didnt want to do any of those.
Settling down into her -- and yes, it was still her chair -- she crossed slim legs at the ankle and smoothed the blue fabric of her dress, one hand reaching up to brush an imagined speck of dust or debris from her hair. No, she was NOT fidgeting. Besides, it wasn't as though she were meeting someone for the first time. It was just Isshin, just returned as though he'd only left on some sort of vacation.
Except... that this Isshin didn't know anything from before. Sure, she knew he was well aware of her status as a shinigami, and that of his son. But what he didn't know was that the relationship between said shinigami and his son was anything but platonic. Oh well. It wasn't like she expected him to act any differently this time than he had the last time.

Nel was left behind on the stairs as Isshin bounded up them three or four at a time, yelling loudly and vaguely on the subject of "children" and "precious love" as if he would never get tired. Skidding to a stop in front of the apartment Ukitake had told him was currently hosting his son and daughter, he took a moment to gather himself before jumping forward once again.
Into the door.
Of course no mere piece of wood could ever resist the loving energies of this particular father when he was separated from his dearest children, and it banged open onto the floor. Isshin didn't even notice. The first person he did notice was Kuchiki Rukia, sitting on a chair in front of him, looking more than slightly shocked.
"Rukia-chan! I'm so glad I found you! Where is everyone else?! Don't they miss their beloved daddy?!"
He struck a dramatically tragic pose and waited impatiently for the loving cries of his kids.

That didn't mean the petite shinigami didn't jump -- she could swear her entire body was airborne for a moment -- when the door went flying across the floor, propelled that way by Isshin's barreling form. Stammering a bit as she tried to collect herself -- really, would she never get used to the way the man behaved? -- she tried to think up a good reason for why she was currently the only one in the living room. Unfortunately, words did not avail her at the moment.
"Uh...."

"DADDY~?"
Yuzu practically flew out of the kitchen and hugged her father. It was as if she hadn't seen him forever. Considering how time passed in the City, she was not surprised if it really had been forever.
"I missed you lots and lots!"

"YUZU~! I missed you lots and lots and LOTS!"
Indeed, it felt like forever, even if it had been only a matter of hours since he had tucked her into her bed and kissed her goodnight.

She had to keep in mind that this Isshin likely didn't possess the memories of the things he'd experienced before. Which meant that while she knew perfectly well that Ichigo's father was aware of her true nature -- and that of his son -- HE didn't know that SHE knew he knew.
"It's nice to see you again, Isshin."
That was the way, slip easily back into the simple mold of the smiling schoolgirl, just act the way she always did around him.

"Daddy! SQUISHING-- Guu!" The last being a sound she made as she slipped out of his arms.
Yuzu took a step toward the kitchen since it might be better to let Rukia talk to her dad for a bit. Where was her brother? She pondered for a few moments before mentioning that she'd go to the kitchen to make some snacks.

"Rukia-chan! It's good to see you too!"
He was flailing dramatically, but held off on the bone-crushing hugs. She wasn't officially part of the family, after all.
I am very thankful to you for taking care of my precious children so well!"
