Log;

Willow closed the circle around the unicorn pen and smiled, reaching out to pet the unicorn that had come close. The protection circle was basic, but it would do, for now. Nobody would get in unless the unicorns, as a whole, wanted them to. They'd be safe. Stuffing her hands in the pockets of her coat, Willow began to look around for Peter. The Zoo was pretty nice and deserted. It was as a good a meeting spot as any. If trouble reared its head, Willow figured she could put up enough of a fight to get them to a safer locale.

Heck, she knew she could.

To avoid any unwanted attacks, Peter had chosen the safest, quickest way there; which meant not only was he flying, but invisible. This might have been why he seemed to have appear from no where.

"It's ok," he said lifting his arms in the air, "It's just me."

"I won't, doubt we have time for stories, anyway." he said, taking her hand and shaking it.

"Where're the friends you were talking about?"

Fighting a look of confusion, he merely nods. "Looks like my plans for dinner are off."

Peter's attention went to the place where Willow was searching. He didn't recall anyone following him there.

"Er, Rogue Unicorn?"

"Sorry to disappoint you, Peter." Sylar appeared a few feet behind him, emerging from the shadows. He's really not that terribly much taller than Peter, but he still seems to tower over the both of them, wearing a trenchcoat and a black ballcap.

"That's a nice trick," he says, nodding at Willow. "How did you know?"

Once again, Peter was fighting the urge to roll his eyes. "Obviously," was the only word he could manage to pull from his vocabulary.

He cleared his throat, "What do you want?"

"I wanted to help." He looked to the side, as if realizing that wasn't going to sound sincere, especially not with the way he'd been staring at Willow. She was very interesting. "You are meeting to talk about the witch trials, aren't you? Are you planning to do anything about them?" His eyes move back to Willow, watching her carefully. "Or lay low and watch people die, one by one?"

Peter studied Sylar, it never did any good. Sylar had always thought he was a brilliant actor, and Peter had always been naive enough to give him another shot.

"Help the city, or help yourself?" Peter asked, an eyebrow raised. "This isn't a buffet, Sylar, even if the unicorns do look tasty."

Sylar smirked at Peter, then turned to Willow. "Don't I always want to help the city?" Peter was technically the one who endangered the last one. "The burnings are only going to get worse. The more quickly they're taken down, the better. What's going to go up against me? Against the two of you? Anyone with power will be accused, won't they?" His eyes are sharp and bright, animating him as he speaks.

Peter couldn't hold this one back, "Are you kidding me?" Help the city, right.

"Whatever, we take them down, they build more. There's nothing to do but help rescue those they have already captured."

Sylar had had a zoned-out look to his face- he hadn't realized this was a curse. But then Peter was looking at him with disbelief and he smirked back. "You really think a defensive strategy is going to be enough? Well- I suppose it's not your funeral." He turned away slightly, looking back to the center of the City. Even now he could hear it tick- it was comforting.
