SUMMARY: we interrupt your regular Xanadu viewing for the following special reminder: ...the visit ain't over til the bloody plant sings.

That's right: our green belle been giving rather obnoxious titillating performances in Xanadu, to what can only be the... enjoyment... of certain Citizens. Adding injury to insult, it's quite possible that a couple of residents have also captured the plant's tune on film, and now the video's been turned into a network viral phenomenon!

But as Citizens surely know, every grand artist needs a doting live audience: come get dibs on more plant footage? Save someone from its evil clutches? Help a poor soul that's got lost in the gardens' great expanse? Get the plant to sign with your talent agency? Embark on a mystical quest to get it to shut up?

Just put your chlorophyll-tinted glasses on, and anything is possible.


[ ooc: Find whatever excuse to throw your character in Xanadu, tag someone new, and all around: GET IN HERE. Just as a note: hearing the plant is definitely optional, so please don't think it's an overwhelming sound that'd keep your character up at night or some such. It's just a log prompt. XD ]

[Stephen sneaks in beside her on the bench when she's particularly wrapped up in drawing.]

It simply does not seem very wise. Though anyone who would wish to call you such a name would surely be able to come up with one on their own.

I certainly did not mind the quiet. And a singing plant seems rather harmless as well, for now. Even though it is singing of homicide.

[Arya is suspicious. Plants don't sing in Westeros. Not that she's seen. So with her face set in grim determination, Arya stalks towards the plant, sword clutched in her hand.]

[ To her credit, Ariadne doesn't jump out of her skin or try to push Stephen off the bench or stab him with a pencil. Her head does jerk up, however. ]

It'd be nice if he'd stop moving. [ Now a poke with the eraser end of her pencil. ] You didn't have to sneak up on me, you know.

Oh, I agree. Or come up with much worse.

[ He takes a look around the park. ]

We can only hope that the homicidal tendencies stick to that plant alone.

[Nathan's one of those people filming the plant. Of course he is. And throwing the occasional obnoxious comment right back at the plant. Being Nathan, he doesn't even seem to notice how close he's managed to get to the plant. Definitely closer than would be advisable.]

You needn't worry yourself, though, I will refrain from attempting to create any nicknames. [ The smile is definitely cheeky, if a bit shy. ]

That would be for the better. I'm rather enjoying my afternoon and homicidal plants would ruin that, I think.

Magic. Right. [ He doesn't sound very happy about that fact. ] They should try for something less bloodthirsty next time. Maybe a nice peach tree.

[Rose stands at a safe enough distance beside the Doctor, a grin on her face, head tilted just a bit as she watches the plant. There's one of those 'this is going to be an adventure' expressions on her face.]

Bet there's a whole planet with these plants on it.

[Seth's been trying to get out of the flat at least once and a while. He likes be along as much as the next man (possibly slightly more), but the quiet was starting to drive him mad. He's taking a stroll around the gardens when he sees the crowd over by the singing plant and decides to investigate. Um... what the hell?]
