Log;

Today, on this excursion, he was Hiro: a college-type asian 20-something guy. X didn't have much for clothes, but a baggy white t-shirt and jeans was good enough for just about any face or shape.

This was much better than last night, when he'd had that horrible conversation with that person on the network who asked so many personal questions that he couldn't answer. He should have just lied, but having an online presence that was consistant was so.. odd, that it hadn't really occurred to him at the time.

Finally arriving at the apartment door, he knocked twice and waited, all smiles and excitement. It had been a while now since he'd had someone cook for him!

Neville stood at the door, leaning up against the wall beside it, on the lookout for the new dinner guest. The smell of roast turkey wafted from the kitchen where he had been carefully tending to it, and the dining table was set for three: He and Dumbledore were the only ones in the apartment that night, as he assumed most of the others had plans. It was always a little disconcerning to the Hogwarts student to be eating alone in front of the headmaster. Especially when he knew the man to have been dead at least a year.

Upon X's approach, he raised his wand, lifting the protective wards that prevented strangers and known enemies from entering the dwelling, and opened the door, coming face to face with a young Asian man.

"You must be Hiro, right?" He asked, a strained hopeful note in his tone of voice.

Albus was currently seated in the kitchen. A cup of tea in his hand, and a bowl of sherbet lemon beside him. A gift from one of the many young ladies that had stopped him during his walk the day before yesterday. He heard the voice in the next room, and stood to greet.

Quietly, Albus was rather glad Mr. Longbottom had invited over a potential...friend. The students were all quite wary of making acquaintances in the city.

He walked into the next room, a light smile on his face.

"Ah, this must be our dinner guest."

Neville gave X a wary smile and a sympathetic nod.

"Oh, yes, right..the ticking." He glanced up as Dumbledore walked over to the door and, shifting awkwardly, realized it came down to him to make the introductions.

"Er...Hiro, this is..Professor Dumbledore. Professor, this is Hiro, he's looking into how to make dinner for himself."

This exchange seemed polite and civil enough, so Neville bravely forged ahead into unknown territory. "Uh...would you like to come inside, sit down?"

"I don't cook very well myself. Neville, however, seems to have knack for it." He gave the young man a smile, patting his shoulder. "And a very green thumb."

Albus walked into their living room, going to take a seat on one of their couches, gesturing for X to sit across from him.

"Have you been a resident of the city long, Hiro?"

At the pat on his shoulder, Neville obligingly turned his gaze down to the floor, a red tinge creeping its way from his cheeks to the tops of his ears.

"I'll just...get dinner on the table, shall I?" he managed, and giving X a smile, walked back towards the kitchen, rolling up his sleeves as he went.
