LOG; incomplete
When; Today
Rating; G?
Characters; Lelouch Lamperouge
lel0uch & Suzaku Kururugi
requisitely
Summary; Lelouch apparently walked the road of never receiving the geass, Suzaku investigates.
Log;
Suzaku leaned against the wall just outside of the room Nunnally and Lelouch were. It didn’t feel right to interrupt them, since this was a Lelouch who allegedly had yet to commit the murders of his own kin or orchestra the deaths of thousands of others. The Lelouch that was inside was still the one he knew from his childhood and had yet to receive the geass. Perhaps, the City had evicted the old Lelouch and this was him before everything happened.
It was a foolish thought, but Suzaku had hope.
There were so many things he wanted to say to him, some of which shouldn’t be said if there were any chances of saving his friend from a terrible future. If this was a curse, Suzaku hoped it would last forever and Lelouch would never meet the girl who gave him the geass.
Unconsciously, Suzaku felt towards the small of his back where the familiar presence of his gun laid hidden under his jacket. There were so many “ifs” the most notable one being… if this was all a lie, Suzaku would end it, once and for all. He seriously hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

"Shall we talk somewhere else, Suzaku? I think, I also would like to have a proper conversation regarding what has happened to you all this time."

"I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to interrupt your talk with Nunnally. Is she well?" The last he had seen of her was from their walk through the gardens together, but that had been awhile.
Suzaku nodded to his fri- yes, friend and started leading the way. The Xanadu gardens would lend them enough privacy to talk without the fear of being overheard. "I’ve experience more things that some would in their entire lifetime in the past few months, but it’s nothing too special. I’m more concern over you."

There were so many things to talk about, Lelouch realized. In addition to the events in Shinjuku, there was the seven years he had neither seen nor heard of his childhood friend.
"By the way-" he realized suddenly. "There was a ticking... earlier. It seemed to disappear whenever I'm with people. It's non-existent right now, for example. Have you experienced this as well, Suzaku?"

The ticking? "That’s from the carousel," he waved his hand towards the general direction of where it laid spinning, "It’s like a clock, in a way, that counts down until the day the world ends. You only hear the ticking when you’re alone as a constant reminder." Suzaku had been quite intimate with the sound of the ticking, as he had kept mostly to himself since Nunnally had been returned. It was maddening, and relentlessly made him recall his failure and Euphie’s death.
"...what did you think of, when you heard it tick?"

Solelmnly, Lelouch began recounting the events as he remembered them. "After they shot you, the truck behind us exploded. That gave the girl and me ample time to escape. We followed the underground tunnels... They were waiting at the end. They must have had access to the exits..."
"Did you know, Suzaku- they were killing people indiscriminately! I thought we stood a chance to escape them, at least until my phone rang. That naturally led to them finding us out. They intended to kill everyone... including me."
He took a deep breath, and a small odd smile crept to his lips as he recalled what it had been like to be defenseless in front of a madman, an Honorary Britannian and his gun. "I closed my eyes... thinking I was done for. But the girl came between me and the bullet... they killed you and, then her... As if it was nothing, they suggested that to explain the girl's death, they were going to tell the superiors the terrorists had already killed her before they arrived..."
He finished with an afterthought, "After that, I think I was hallucinating. They taunted me after that, and there were gunshots... then I was here... Was that too lengthy, Suzaku?"
[ooc; Excuse me while I die in a tiny corner. =_= My brain hates Lelouch D:]

"You’re… alive, Lelouch," there was a touch of surprise in that, as realization finally started to sink in. The shoulder in his hand was warm and not a trace of the stiffness of death was there. If Lelouch had died before coming to the city, he would be dead and completely cold and hard to his touch now. This disproved his earlier notion of a pre-Zero Lelouch entering the city. That left him two theories, lies or a curse.
"Lelouch," he murmured while he sought to make eye contact, "how does all this make you feel?"
[ooc; gasp, why? D: ]

[ooc; 8D It's just that I feel like I'm writing him poorly. 8D The delay in the response was due to the fact that I re-watched that part in the first episode btw ~ Mmm. Made me really think if the Geass seriously turned Lulu bad. I don't think he was in control of himself when he ordered those people to kill themselves for him :-x]
