Log;

Suzaku leaned against the wall just outside of the room Nunnally and Lelouch were. It didn’t feel right to interrupt them, since this was a Lelouch who allegedly had yet to commit the murders of his own kin or orchestra the deaths of thousands of others. The Lelouch that was inside was still the one he knew from his childhood and had yet to receive the geass. Perhaps, the City had evicted the old Lelouch and this was him before everything happened.

It was a foolish thought, but Suzaku had hope.

There were so many things he wanted to say to him, some of which shouldn’t be said if there were any chances of saving his friend from a terrible future. If this was a curse, Suzaku hoped it would last forever and Lelouch would never meet the girl who gave him the geass.

Unconsciously, Suzaku felt towards the small of his back where the familiar presence of his gun laid hidden under his jacket. There were so many “ifs” the most notable one being… if this was all a lie, Suzaku would end it, once and for all. He seriously hoped it wouldn’t come to that.

"I told Nunnally to wait for me since you wanted to have a date with me," Lelouch said with a smile after exciting the room Nunnally had been in. Suzaku looked like he was withholding something terribly important, something that had to do with terrorism and himself. In any case, Lelouch felt that, regardless of what truth Suzaku was withholding from him, he needed to know everything.

"Shall we talk somewhere else, Suzaku? I think, I also would like to have a proper conversation regarding what has happened to you all this time."

"Aren't we noble, Kururugi Suzaku? I'm terribly flattered by your concern..." Lelouch remembered how Suzaku had openly disregarded orders to shoot him, and how the Honorary Britannian had subsequently been made to pay for that. That made him frown a little. " ... though I think you shouldn't be overly concerned for others before yourself. You could've died from that gunshot, Suzaku. As for Nunnally... she's alright. But we're to talk about you and me, aren't we?"

There were so many things to talk about, Lelouch realized. In addition to the events in Shinjuku, there was the seven years he had neither seen nor heard of his childhood friend.

"By the way-" he realized suddenly. "There was a ticking... earlier. It seemed to disappear whenever I'm with people. It's non-existent right now, for example. Have you experienced this as well, Suzaku?"

Lelouch hung his head slightly as he tried to recall what kind of thoughts the ticking had inspired in him. His lips pursed when the answer came to him. "I honestly thought, for a while, that I had died and this was the afterlife." He let the statement end there, albeit with some reluctance. He avoided Suzaku's gaze when he remembered how the green-haired girl had been shot in front of him, and the events that followed afterwards. Though, the events that followed were fuzzy at best.

Suzaku's reasonings were sound, and, if not for the indescribable cold he was feeling at the moment, Lelouch would have been convinced. He could find no scars, and his uniform was immaculate as it had always been.

Solelmnly, Lelouch began recounting the events as he remembered them. "After they shot you, the truck behind us exploded. That gave the girl and me ample time to escape. We followed the underground tunnels... They were waiting at the end. They must have had access to the exits..."

"Did you know, Suzaku- they were killing people indiscriminately! I thought we stood a chance to escape them, at least until my phone rang. That naturally led to them finding us out. They intended to kill everyone... including me."

He took a deep breath, and a small odd smile crept to his lips as he recalled what it had been like to be defenseless in front of a madman, an Honorary Britannian and his gun. "I closed my eyes... thinking I was done for. But the girl came between me and the bullet... they killed you and, then her... As if it was nothing, they suggested that to explain the girl's death, they were going to tell the superiors the terrorists had already killed her before they arrived..."

He finished with an afterthought, "After that, I think I was hallucinating. They taunted me after that, and there were gunshots... then I was here... Was that too lengthy, Suzaku?"

[ooc; Excuse me while I die in a tiny corner. =_= My brain hates Lelouch D:]

The simple gesture allowed Lelouch to relax a bit. He sighed, and shook his head. "Worried? Still a bit confused... but I can believe you, Suzaku." Lelouch grinned as he added, "You'd always been a bit too honest for your own good."

[ooc; 8D It's just that I feel like I'm writing him poorly. 8D The delay in the response was due to the fact that I re-watched that part in the first episode btw ~ Mmm. Made me really think if the Geass seriously turned Lulu bad. I don't think he was in control of himself when he ordered those people to kill themselves for him :-x]
