Characters; Glo Xinia (
glo_xinia), Chrome Dokuro (

Summary; Tired of his antics, Chrome finally agreed to fight Glo face to face; unfortunately, she picked the wrong day to do it.
Log;
It was definitely another strange curse that must have been affecting them because there was little to no chance he would have ever had Chrome willingly agree to meet him. Ah, such a delightful young child, but Glo remembered her older form best. She was a thing of beauty, someone he would love to drag his teeth over, and those legs had gotten even longer with age, which left more for him to bite.
He waited just outside his home, fingers running smoothly over the crop in his hand, entertaining the knowledge that she would soon be his. It would be even better if he could grasp the Mist Ring while he played with her. Byakuran hadn't quite given them the orders for it, yet, but Glo had perfect confidence the man would appreciate such a thing for Christmas.
What he did with Chrome afterwards would be his own present.
Willing was one thing, but Chrome still only had one thing in mind. Her fingers pressed tighter against the chilled hilt of Mukuro's trident. Even though he wasn't in the City any longer, some things had remained in his absence. Chrome could only guess that the organs he generated were still kept through the strength of their bond, even in the City.
This would be her Christmas present to herself, proving that she was strong enough to be Mukuro's strength, proving that every ounce of power he had poured into her was well worth the effort it took. She needed to prove that all the protection she had received from those dearest to her was not in vain. She would defeat Glo Xinia tonight and be able to face forward.
She just needed to will her hesitant feet to their meeting place, boots crunching in the light snow that had fallen since that morning.
Glo heard her coming before actually seeing her, foot falls heavy in the snow, making him glance over his shoulder, a grin lighting his face. She looked even more adorable than he'd last remember her, skin rosy with the cold. He could just eat her up right there, but he restrained himself if only to dissect why she'd so readily agreed to play.
"My, my. It's good to see you after so long, dear Chrome. Sweet Chrome. Soon-to-be mine Chrome~"
He smiled widely, slapping the tip of his riding crop into the open palm of his other hand while approaching her. The fact that she brought her weapon with her was little problem to him. He'd simply have to disarm her.
Chrome stepped back, her grip shifting on her weapon. The way he looked at her unnerved her, sending fresh trails of fear up her spine. With every potent smack of his crop against his own skin, she regretted doing this all the more.
She wasn't strong. She knew that. She'd known that since the day she decided it was alright to die. But this was important.
"This isn't social," she began, voice soft and paced. "I want to finish what you said we started. Today I'm going to defeat you."
"Defeat me?" Glo repeated with a laugh. Did this child truly think she could stand up to the likes of Glo Xinia? Why, the last time they'd faced off, she'd jumped out of a window. But, of course, she didn't know this. He would take advantage of her naiveté.
"I doubt I'll even need a box to pry you open," he murmured with a smile, before reaching out and snatching one of her delicate wrists to drag her closer to himself, crushing the bones in very snuggly. "Shall we begin the feast?"
The jerk against her wrist sent her stumbling forward, taken by surprise. She fumbled to find her footing, unprepared despite her hopes.
Not yet. She couldn't give in yet, not when there was so much she hadn't proven to herself, to Mukuro-sama.
And, yet, as she stumbled against him, she lifted her head, caught by a sudden impulse, the curse she hadn't known about catching her as her stumble drew them under a branch of green and her lips met his.
That had taken him by sudden surprise, actually releasing her wrist, eyes widening a bit as he felt her soft lips against his mouth. He'd never expected a girl of her age and her purity to be so bold and so willing. Truthfully, it threw Glo off balance to the point of brief unresponsiveness.
When he could finally bring himself to move again, he'd pulled back enough that his eye twitched reflexively, a large grin stretching his mouth. "What do you think are you trying to pull with that little stunt?"
Chrome jerked back from the kiss, eyes wide. She hadn't- That wasn't- She could still feel his lips against hers and her stomach churned at the thought. She gripped her trident harder, working on focusing back on why she came here and trying to ignore whatever had just happened.
... What had just happened?
"I didn't," she breathed, the chill coloring it just barely white, "I wouldn't..."
Glo reached out to grab the trident before she sought to pierce him through it. That flustered expression! Those wide eyes! How exciting~ He pushed her against the wall with the grip, leaning down to bite her hard on the cheek.
"Are you playing with me? Because you should no better than to tempt a man already thirsting for your flesh." His teeth scraped down to catch another bit of skin from her jaw and tug, grinding the edges deeper to leave marks.
Chrome yelped, fighting the urge to pull back, not when he held her at such an awkward position. And now he had the trident, something she wouldn't let go of it her life depended on it, because, in a way, she still believed that it was true and it did.
"I don't know!" she protested, shying away from his teeth as best she could. It hurt.
Glo chuckled out loud, backing her up into the nearest wall as he continued to chew on her skin, mouth lowering to bite down on her neck. It was uncomfortable to have to keep hunched over like this, but it was worth it for the skittish protests, both his hands moving to grasp her wrist simultaneously and squeeze them to get her to drop the trident.
"Absolutely," he began, moving his lips back to hers and clamping his teeth down, eyes locking with her gaze. "Delicious," he finished around the bite.
Chrome pushed again at the trident, trying to force him off. She didn't like this, not the kiss, not his closeness, not the way his teeth hurt against her skin. The cold air bit against the marks he left behind and the thin layer of saliva that came with it.
"Stop it," she breathed, voice lifting in pitch, wishing for the hands she trusted to guide her once more and knowing that they wouldn't come. "I don't-"
He kept his grip on her even as she struggled, mouth slipping down her neck and over her collar, biting down again, leaving little red marks wherever he could. She tasted so good that one bite couldn't ever be enough to fulfill his appetite. He wanted to devour her whole, right here in front of everyone.
"Of course, you do," he said with a chuckle, taking another bite, "that is precisely why you initiated it."
Chrome was shaking. It hurt and most importantly, she couldn't get away by simply pulling free, much less focus enough to conceive some way to break away from his commanding grip. She closed her eye, shuddering as his teeth met her skin again.
There was a way out of this. Somehow, somewhere, she remembered there was. If only Mukuro-sama...
Chrome paused, grip shifting on the trident. That was it. She drew in a slow breath, letting illusions make her body grow taller, pants instead of a skirt, and a pair of bi-colored eyes instead of a single one and an eyepatch.
Something changed. Something shifted in his arms, and Glo's eyes slid upwards to see her cute face only to be confronted with someone he despised profusely. What was this? Hadn't he left ? Why, Glo hadn't seen or been bothered by him in a while.
Pulling away abruptly and twitching in annoyance, Glo tried to grin despite his irritation. "So did you come to protect her? How troublesome. I haven't even gotten to the main course, yet."
It worked better than she had hoped, something Chrome was secretly quite glad for. She straightened, trying to properly fill out the illusion she had created of him. It wasn't that hard to imitate him. His voice still rang in her ears, even though he'd long gone.
"Kufufufu," she filled the voice of the illusion with all the confidence he had that she couldn't always find, "And you won't be enjoying anymore."
Glo took another step back, face curling up in disgust and eye twitching again. He didn't want to deal with him of all people, not when he'd been so close to finally getting what he wanted. It would be too troublesome to fight him at the moment, especially without orders from Byakuran.
"I have suddenly lost my appetite," he muttered before turning away, cape flowing dramatically in the wind. "But rest assured, next time she will be mine." And so will the mist ring' he added mentally.
Chrome watched as he left, letting the trident rest against her borrowed chest with a sigh of relief. Even from beyond the City, he still helped her. She waited until he was well out of sight before she let her knees give out and the reality of what had happened sunk in on her.
