Log; Ongoing
When; Today~
Rating; PG-13 maybe?
Characters; Sakata Gintoki [
ginironosora] & Sakamoto Tatsuma [
canicrynow]
Summary; After the epic bitchfight between Gintoki and Tatsuma, Gintoki and Ayame [
nattoninja] went to stay with Kira Yamato [
jesus_yamato] on the Eternal, the ship on the beach. Koutarou [
passion8history] went to stay with Lady [
quamserena], leaving Tatsuma all alone. Sakamoto eventually sucked it up, and he's come to make-up with Gintoki. Friends should never fight, after all. Things should be settled with some harsh words, a couple thrown punches, followed by hugs and apologies, right? Right?
Log;
Ayame had left earlier that day, having found someone to stay with, and Gintoki, in all honesty, was a bit lonely. He didn't want to keep butting in on Kira, the kind kid that offered him a place to stay, no matter how attached he felt to him. And in his time-wasting, he'd eaten the very last of his ice cream stash, and so here he was, wrapped up in his winter haori and scarf, hands mittened against the cold.
It was still a bit early, so he snuck off the ship silently, taking care that his heavy black boots fell as quietly as possible until he was outside, stretching and yawning. His ears were cold already, and he questioned himself, again, on his logic for getting ice cream in the dead of winter. But before he could ponder more on his own stupidity, he noticed someone approaching.

Still, he'd never meant to make the apology to the other man's face. It was a bit too early for that, he'd only meant to drop off some gifts by the edge of the ship with a little note. Gifts solved things frequently.
He certainly hadn't meant to stumble upon Gintoki coming toward him. He should have bolted the other way immediately, before Gintoki knew who was coming. Instead, as he turned to head the other direction, his geta got caught on a beach rock.

The freelancer raised a mittened hand in greeting, fighting the smile that threatened to curl his lips. He was glad to see him, really, but a smile would be taken entirely wrong in this situation. His boots sank in the sand as he continued a lazy pace, unintentionally getting closer to Sakamoto.

"Ah...ahaha, Gintoki-kun, fancy meeting you here. I was just coming to...drop something off for you."

No, he knew. Money can't buy everything. And the idiot still seemed to think one could.
"Oh? What for?"
Maybe this "being firm" business was going to be harder than he thought.

Not that Sakamoto hadn't been upset too, after learning what Gintoki hadn't volunteered to tell him himself. But still.
"I wanted to give you something as an apology. Somebody told me the chocolates here were actually not horrible. And you like sweets."

The silver-haired samurai stopped a good two feet from where Tatsuma knelt on the ground, looking down at him with a frown.
"I want you to understand why I feel the way I do towards you and apologize like a real person. Like a man. Don't use meaningless trinkets to put your feelings into and give them to me indirectly."
