He did not remember this strange land- how he came to be here. Perhaps the Demeter and floundered in her course and set him adrift in Not-England. Steepling his fingers, chin resting upon them, he thought for a moment.
All around, the city was alive. He could feel heartbeats, the pulse of blood in veins. The din of voices, machinery and life flowed through his being. It was so different than the silent repose of his native soil. So different.
And he hungered for all of it. To hold the pulse of life between his aching jaws, to lave worship across it, for life to consume him until the anger, rage and destructive urges were soothed away.
Eyes opened and a half smile curled his lips, he hungered.
