Joshua?
[She frowned, rubbing her eyes as she slipped out of bed too, following after him, yawning. He was probably was going for some water, and she would probably tag along for some too, her fingers instinctively curling around a gun that was hidden near the door, just in case. ]
You need to get better at sneaking out, I could hear every movement.

Sister...

[She yawned, dragging after him, bare feet slapping on the cool floor. It took her a few minutes to realize that they weren't heading for the kitchen, and it wasn't the bathroom they were heading for either.]
Hey Joshua. Where are we going?
[She made a face, reaching out for his arm, tugging.]
Hey!

He's got company.
[Who was going to take care of that company was anyone's guess, but Cori won't volunteer. He has other ideas in mind.]

JOSHUA!
[She hurried to catch up with him, cursing as she skipped over the cold grass and stones, placing her hands against his chest, the gun held carefully in one.]
Hey! Wake up!

Oy, luv, lets not interfere, ey?

I can cover this.
[She smiles, but it is nothing sweet.]

...Rosette... You're cold?

Back the fuck off-
[And then there was a movement beside them, wind, and then there's blood down Joshua's face, the nightmare gouging out her brother's eye. With a sharp gasp, she whipped the gun around at where his head was, and hopefully still was, pulling the trigger.]
JOSHUA!

I R PAWN, DUN HURT ME D:
or just the munswas prepared to throw a very large, rather dangerous monkey wrench into that plan this evening. That monkey wrench first showed up in the form of a very familiar blond that had been deposited into his arms. If the one who deposited her had said anything, Doumeki hadn't been listening--he had really only been focused on the fact that she was in her pjs and bloody. Unfortuantely, he didn't really even have time to ask her what exactly happened, only was able to ask "Rosette--?" before he was interrupted.
I THINK THAT'S ASKING TOO MUCH
But Joshua would never forget it now.
He followed expecting to find him, only to come to a halt to find Rosette in the arms of a different person. This...this was not the same guy that had carried her off. Was this some sort of game to them? Like hot potato? With Rosette?
Snarling and fixing Doumeki with his only remaining eye, the Apostle edged forward. He'd get the other one later. This one currently had his sister.
WHAT HAPPENED TO LAZY LOGGING D<
She knew she needed to calm down, that curse had shown her what happened when she focused only on her brother, What had happened to Chrno.
But she couldn't help herself.
The moment she was dropped into the familiar arms of the archer, she shoved him in the chest, not even responding in human words, just a grunt as she tried to get out of his arms. She had to get to Joshua, nothing else mattered. He was hurt and he needed her.
And then he was in front of them.
"Joshua!"

Again he had Doumeki in his very unfocused line of sight, and he gently pushed Rosette back before turning to grab hold of the teen by one of his wrists. His grip was not gentle. "You touched her... Both of you did. You made her see something so violent, and you made her run around in the cold, and she could have been hurt! I'll kill you, and then I'll kill him!"
no subject
He couldn't stop the wince as Joshua grabbed his wrist in a hard grip, but he did manage to quell the urge to jerk back.
"I'm not sure what you're talking about, but I would rather not be killed for a crime I didn't commit." he stated, amber eyes looking straight at the boy in front of him. "...what happened to your eye?"
no subject
"This guy didnt do anything, that coward dropped me off with him and ran! He's just trying to distract you, but we have to get you help Joshua, not fight!" She growled lowly, trying to keep him from killing him, while her mind whirled with thoughts on how to stop him.
There was a gun hidden in the entrance just a few minutes away. If she ran for it...

Doumeki's other hand was snatched up, and Joshua smoothly gripped both, fingers interlocking so that they were holding hands like lovers would. But there was nothing sweet or intimate about this. Bones were bending, fracturing, breaking as the Apostle slowly squeezed. Soon they would be crushed, and the entire time he kept his eyes pinned on the boy's face.
"You touched her with these hands..."

"Don't---!"

The girl turned on her heel, stumbling as she bolted for the cathedral, heaving her breath as she skidded in to the building, a mantra drumming in her head.
Go Run Go Run! Please don't kill him please don't kill him Joshua!!
She tossed the vase off the table in the hallway, the ceramic shattering against tile. The gun clattered in the dirt, and she snatched it up, fingers slippery with blood and ceramic.
And she was running again, feet numb and heart pounding, and Joshua was in sight again.
She couldn't do this, couldn't, what if she-
And she pulled the trigger before she could convince herself not too, tears flying unnoticed down her cheeks.

Confused, Joshua began to loosen his grip, looking down at Doumeki with a puzzled gaze. "...You're not--"
Ah.
He heard the gunshot. He felt the jolt. But it didn't really...compute as to what had just happened. Something was in his chest, and it was making it hard to breath. Something was filling his lungs, and it... It felt hot.
Joshua didn't know why this night had happened. Why had he been called out? Why had he been attacked? Why was he here? He didn't...understand.
And there was no time to understand. The most he could do was drop Doumeki's hands and start to turn, to try and see his attacker, but before his gaze could find his sister, he was staggering and falling. He hit the ground hard, and perhaps his head hitting the ground and knocking him out was more a mercy than it was a punishment.

It took a good several minutes for him to manage to push himself up on an elbow, amber eyes blearily taking in what had transpired while his eyes were closed.

Thats Right, he was dead already. It made her ill. And she ran her hand down his cheek, gritting her teeth at the sight of his eye.
"Goddamn it..." She growled, and carefully moved her brother so that she cradled his head and shoulders. "Those bastards..."
Her eyes lifted to Doumeki, furrowing her eyebrows.
"....Are you ok?"
