Log; ongoing
When; April 2, Nighttime, in Xanadu
Rating; TBA
Characters; Johan Liebert (
imputing) and Suu (
adelicateclover)
Summary; Two pictures of innocence encounter each other in the garden.
Log;
She was happy that she remembered Vash and Wolfwood. Slowly, other memories were coming back to her as well. She remembered the friends that she met here, and how she came to stay with Kira and Lacus in The Eternal.
She also remembered that she had wings. Mechanical ones, that could just spring out of her back at her bidding, and disappear when she wanted them to.
Though, she did not know how she got them. Nor what happened to her before she got into the city. She knew, she was here before. First, second... there were blank gaps inbetween her life. She could not remember those.
Not feeling sleepy at all, she sneaked out of the ship (she was doing this quite a number of times now) and headed to her favorite place in the city: Xanadu's gardens. Particularly, the area near the big Cherry Blossom tree. Summoning her wings to her back, she flew all the way to the tree, and settled on a branch, humming a song pieced together with random notes.
She was usually alone during her night sojourns. This time she had company.

Still, it was intriguing. He was never one to care much for his own safety anyway, he had come to believe that he might never die, the way bullets seem to naturally deflect from killing him.
He digressed.
Coming to the conclusion that he would not know anything more from only observing, he came out of the shadow of a tree, clapping his hands. There was always the option of asking the girl herself.

Her fingers clutched at the branch she was holding on to. "W-who's there?", she timidly called out. She then saw a blonde boy coming out of the shadow of the tree.
"O-oh. Hello. I-I'm sorry, I thought I was alone..."

He had no intention of scaring her, but she was quite timid in comparison to most. It occurred to him that he hardly ever dealt with girls before. It so happened that most of his students were male, whether they be boys or boys in a grown body. He wondered if they would be different at all.
"Does the song have a name?" He did not recognize it, but it was something they could talk about for now.

The boy's smile reassured her somewhat. The grip on the branch lessened, and she allowed her feet to swing to and fro from the branch.
"I just made it... aaaaah!"
Certainly her wings were not that heavy. In fact, it wasn't at all. It was just unfortunate that the branch that she opted to sit on wasn't that really strong in the first place, and the added motion of her swinging legs only served to quicken it's breaking. So it didn't even bother to let her finish answering his question when it finally gave way and cracked under her weight. She had already made her wings disappear at this point, and she ended up hurling, back first, to the ground.

No expression of surprise appearing on his face, Johan quickly positioned himself to catch the falling girl. It hardly took any effort, the wings were surprisingly light. Perhaps she was from the distance future where they have found how to let humans fly. Perhaps it was made of some sort of synthesized material. It had always been a lofty aspiration of ours to be better than we were before.
Johan held her in his arms for a moment, taking care not to be inappropriate. He should let her decide when she was ready to be let down. It would not do for her to think he wanted to be rid of her.

...only to feel the poomf! of a warm body catching her. Eyes flew open to see the blonde boy nonchalantly holding her, as if anticipating her fall. His face was impassive as he held her quite steadily.
She was silent for a few moments, very surprised. He was suddenly... there.
"Th-th-thank you..." She was able to say, a bit shaken, but okay. A beat. And she squirmed, slipped from his arms and stood on the ground in front of him. She contemplated him quickly and bowed, something she thought proper for thanking somebody. "I'm... I'm Suu. Thank you for saving me... mister..."

Whatever it was that others might think of him, he was a true gentleman. It mattered not whether she was a common young girl or an aristocrat of the highest status. Courtesy was required in any occasion, provided it could be afforded. He smiled, a little mischievously. "I'm glad I was here to catch you, Suu, though you might have landed just as well by yourself."

"Johan. Johan Liebert. It's nice to meet you, Johan"
"Um... so you like to go out at night too?"
no subject
He closed his eyes as if trying to drive away the mellow thoughts before turning back to Suu with an entirely amiable disposition. "Sometimes it is good to be alone."

"Umn! It gets too lonely when you're always alone. It's good to have friends with you!" She starts to get thoughtful at this, and asks. "Johan, do you have friends from your world here with you?"
no subject
"My sister is here," he replied with a wide smile. It seemed as if it was the first time he was genuinely delighted about something, despite the fact that he had been smiling all the while. "She is all the companion I would ever need." And there was nothing mysterious or vague about this statement; they were honest words coming from him.
"How about you, Miss Suu?"
[ooc: sorry! been replying to the wrong one XD Also, the Latin thing he said means a man to live alone must be either a god or a devil. >3]
