Log;

Kaye was affected. Badly. She had the sudden craving to eat lots of twinkies, and she didn't know why. Sure, they were good, but this craving was strong. Previously she went on a small mission to hunt for twinkies, willing to pay anything for them, but she found none. Disappointed, she returned back to the apartment.

To find that Roiben had some. Many twinkies. Where the hell did he get those?!

Kaye was undeniably irritated at first, but then she just decided to ask for some. He was her boyfriend, they had to share, right?

She jumped on the couch to sit next to him, almost a little too eagerly. Kaye was wearing what she hoped was a charming smile. ? "You're going to share, right? You can't eat all of those."

Why the hell did she want twinkies so much? This was bizarre.

Roiben was on the same boat with Kaye, for some goddamn reason. He figured, it was probably a curse. Maybe. Who knows. Did it matter? He had a one-tracked mind for twinkies today and anything hostess, so he snuck out like the ninja faery he is to get some bright and early - he purchased quite the stash.

It didn't matter where the craving came from. The point is, he wanted some fucking twinkies. So he was eating them, on the couch, more thank happily.

That is, until Kaye popped by with a smile that he, originally, would not be able to resist. And he would usually be more than willing to share, because you know - he's a poetic, loving boyfriend like that.

But no.

Not today.

He held the box to his chest, chewing some of the chocolate white-filled goodness in his mouth (there were other boxes, but very well hidden). And he looked at Kaye.

And he raised an eyebrow.

And he simply said: "No."

Kaye's smile only faltered when he denied her request. Wait, what?

Why not? She wanted some. Hmph.

Her expression changed into what she hoped was an effective pout, and she just scooted a bit closer, eyes on the box. Why could she only think about those delicious little creme-filled cakes?

"Why not? You have plenty.

"I care very little," he responded and took another bite, and he started to scoot against the arm of the couch, trying to protect the twinkies.

"No."

Yeah, that's right. He had the pants in this relationship."

Kaye had pants too!

Her "cute" little pout disappeared and now she was glaring a little, it looked like.

"Don't be a jerk, Roiben. I just want one..." ..and then two and then three and then four and then -- it wasn't really a lie, just neglecting to mention extra information.

Instead of scooting closer, she decided to grab on to his nearest shoulder, although lightly for now.

Just one?

It was one less he would eat, and he was having none of that.

The shoulder grab was met with tensing his muscles, and then he awkwardly and a little roughly, shrugged off her hand.

"No, Kaye. I will overrule you on this subject, as your King, if you continue to persist."

Her king?

Well, sure... technically... but she was his consort, too. And he had never pulled that overruling shit before.

"We're not back home, Roiben." She said that with a glare when she was shrugged off. It just made the sparks in her eyes flare up a little more and this time she really did try to grab the box, being as quick as the sneaky little pixie she could be.

Oh, she was going to regret that.

She did not. Touch. His twinkies. Or tralala.

He swiftly and harshly smacked her hand away from the hostess box, as a fair warning. "It matters very little where we are. You are still a faery from one of my courts- consort or not."

Ow. Kaye's hand stung and she recoiled it. But she was still glaring - it was hard to tell if it was more so because of his words or his actions.

"Yes it does. You're not on faerie territory." Right? She didn't know how the rules went, but she didn't care. Her glaring black eyes were still locked on the box of twinkies.

She was still for a moment, just to make it seem like she wasn't going to do what she was going to do. She lunged at the box of twinkies again, being too stubborn to learn the first time and far, far too addicted today.

Her sudden attack made it impossible for him to respond and completely distracted him from their conversation. Twinkies were his first priority.

He pushed the box away from her as much as possible and tried to shove her away with a hand - which didn't seem so unlikely since, ah, Roiben was pretty strong.

"No. What part of it do you fail to understand?!"

"The 'no' part. You have plenty!" Kaye practically growled, voice slightly muffled by the hand on her face that was stopping her. Still, she was very determined - she tried to push away from the hand to climb on top of him partially, just to get to the box.

Oh, he wasn't about to let her.

He let go of the box by shoving it off the couch, just to free his other hand to grab her and push her to the other side of the couch, farthest away from the twinkies.

"It matters not. It's still mine, and I don't have to share!"

It was an unbalanced match. Roiben was stronger than Kaye. But she was determined, damn it and ow.

She squashed her wings against the couch, but then she just used a quick bit of glamour - making them less physical, more evanescent. Then she was back to squirming against him, fighting fiercely to remove herself from the couch - she could see the box of twinkies!

"You should share!" Lame reply.

The struggling was beginning to prove bothersome and he scowled, trying to pin her against the couch without any tenderness whatsoever.

"Share?" he snorted, glaring down at her. "Clearly, you jest. Don't be absurd."

"Ow! You're fucking heavy, stop that!" Her eyes were practically slits now. She fought back and squirmed like a wild thing, but there was only so much she could do. Then she just bit him on the nearest skin she could reach, possibly one of his arms. Hey, maybe it would help!

Was that all she was going to do? Bite him? Sure, it hurt, but he didn't wince or tear his arm away from her feral teeth.

"You are acting foolish, Kaye." Look who's talking, Mister Emo-kins. "You are not getting anything, so it'd be best for you to stop this madness before it turns drastic."

Suddenly, Kaye was reminded of that fox, but she didn't care right now. She nearly growled in frustration at being pinned - he was too damn strong. "I just want some damn twinkies!"

She squirmed and flailed, aiming to hopefully knee him in the crotch, or legs, whatever she could reach.

"Find your o--!" There was a grunt at being hit right below the belt. Right between his legs. Into his lucky charms. His family jewels.

And it hurt.

And he kinda impulsively and awkwardly hit his knuckles into her cheek with a painful scowl, and he spoke between gritted teeth. Something he would, in his right mind, never ever do - but the force of twinkies was strong within him.

"T-They. Still. Belong. To. Me."

Kaye would have never expected herself to do something like that - or for Roiben to hit her like that. But today, none of that matter. This was a battle for the twinkies.

She had little time to be victorious before she was hit, causing her to release a small shriek, and she fell against the couch - disabled, for now. She mumbled a curse under her breath and tried to get up.

He was so going to regret all this and angst like never before come midnight.

Roiben bit down on his lip and pushed her down against the cushions more, his eyes slanting into a not-so-happy glare. "Enough. They belong to me."

Kaye was still trying to get up, and then it hit her - she knew what to do. Why didn't she think of that before?

"Rath Roiben Rye." She said his true name through gritted teeth, waiting before she stated a command - she was still trying to get up. A small hiss of pain escaped her lips.

Oh, no.

She did not just--

She did.

Roiben stiffened above her, the glare widening to express shock instead. He looked horrified.

"You wouldn't." But she would. He knew she would.

Yeah, she did.

"I would." Kaye glared and used his current stillness to try and get up. "Fair is fair." Meaning, he was the stronger one, so she had to use her best weapon: cleverness. And luck, that she knew his true name.

She spoke up more clearly. "Rath Roiben Rye, get off of me. And give me some twinkies." As an after thought, she added, "And don't try to attack me again or take them from me."

Damn her.

Of course, not like he had ANY DAMN CHOICE in the matter. He was under her power. He made a low rumble in his throat - sounding disturbingly too much like a growl - and he released her. He got off her, took the box of twinkies, and gave it to her.

And he was just glaring.

Kaye didn't pay attention to his glaring. She had TWINKIES. So she sat up on the couch wearing a smile and a small bruise on her cheek where he hit her, and she reached for the box. She took one out of the box quickly and unwrapped it a little impatiently.

She consumed one twinkie in very little time, as if it was a delicious faerie fruit - in fact, that was how it was to her right now. She licked her fingers for any last crumbs before looking at him and taking another. "And don't glare so much."

She was going to feel like a bitch tomorrow, but hey.. it was self-defense?

He really couldn't do anything.

...but that's okay. Because he had a few hidden boxes that she didn't know about. So he was going to act like a child throwing a tantrum for the sake of show and grumbled something incoherent below his breath, and stomped over to her bedroom to slam the door shut and lock himself inside.

Mature, Roiben. Real mature.

Kaye didn't care about Roiben leaving like a pouty child now. She was busy consuming the twinkies. She had a whole box of them, until...

..well, a mere few minutes later, she had an empty box. Kaye ate all of them.

So she got up to go knock on her bedroom door. "Let me in!"

"No," was his answer. He was holding one or two or, well, actually three boxes of twinkies, and he quickly shoved one into his mouth to scarf down so he could quietly hide the boxes. "I am not pleased with you at the moment."

Well, of course he wasn't.

She crossed her arms. "Rath Roiben Rye, let me in. It's my room." ..and maybe he had more twinkies.

Damnit. Why couldn't she give a generic order, like 'open the door'? Because he would open it and then close it and not let her in and follow the order.

He corner of his lip twitched, and he opened the door to let her in.

"And those were my twinkies."

That's because Kaye knew how these things worked. She remembered the time that Nephamael ordered Roiben to grab Kaye and he did, but then he immediately let her go.

Her arms were still crossed as she walked in. "You weren't sharing.. and I had to defend myself somehow." Pause. "..Are there anymore? I can smell them."

"You devoured the box in its entirety, Kaye. Of course the scent would be present." Yes, he was so avoiding the question.

He noticed the bruise formed on her cheek though, and his initial thought was to apologize and touch her, but his feral instinct for twinkies was dominating so far.

Hmm. Avoiding the question? Suspicious.

"No, I think there's some here too. Where are they?" She perched on the edge of her bed, glancing around.

"If that is what you wish to think." Yeah. SO avoiding. He sat on the bed, pushing his hair back, and watched her with narrowed eyes.

She crossed her arms. "Don't make me use your name again." TWINKIES. Must. Have.

But that was okay. She could mostly smell where they were, so she crawled under the bed and retrieved a box. ♥

...damnit.

He moved off the bed to tug on her shirt, to pull her out from under the bed in a mostly non-hostile manner and scowled.

"I will give you. Some. But they are, rightfully, mine, so I have rights on the majority. Fair enough?"

He couldn't fight against the woman who had his name and win, so he might as well compromise.

Kaye was pulled out from under the bed holding the box. She sat up on the floor.

Hmmmm.

"No. I think I want them all." ♥

...she couldn't be serious.

His eyes widened at first, not exactly expecting a response like that, and they formed a glare again.

"As you wish, my lady." Yeah, those words were SEETHING from his mouth. "I will see you when I see you."

He was NOT going to watch her eat his beloved twinkies. So he stormed out of the bedroom and towards the exit of the apartment.
