Log; Completed
When; Monday evening (05/19)
Rating; PG
Characters; Toshiko Sato
warped_inside and Tony Stark
morethanasuit
Summary; Toshiko and Tony meet at the Lux, followed by a tour of Tony's high-tech apartment.
Log;
Despite her current fears over going out alone, Tosh actually worked up the courage to leave work for a frantic shopping trip. She might not have been as fashion-obsessed as her mirror counterpart, but no way was she going on a date that included dancing without indulging in something nice to wear. Besides, she really needed to get the memory of those stilettos out of her head.
Shopping and primping accomplished, she was back at the Lux earlier than necessary, killing time while she waited by studying some of the flowering plants decorating the entryway.

"I'll take it that the tour won't be including any tricks this time?"

"Instead why don't I show you the workshop I've got set up?" Tony asked.
no subject
"I would love to see your workshop! I'm going to be fantastically jealous, aren't I?"
no subject
"But it's not too shabby," he told her as he lead her to the room in the back. "Eventually, assuming I'm here for a while, I'll need a separate building to work in."
[ooc: If you've seen the Iron Man movie, think the set up he's got in the garage.]
no subject
"Yep, utterly envious," she breathed, making a short mental list of things she intended to make Jack buy for her next time he raided her supplies.
[ooc: Dude, I've seen the movie twice. :D]

"If you ever need to come over and use it just let me know," he told her, moving behind her as she glanced over everything. "I trust you not to break anything or create some homicidal AI system."
no subject
Also, it had access to a semi-sentient alien computer system, but she kept to herself for the moment.
"No, definitely not interested in making anything that's homicidal. Tony, this is fantastic. Honestly, I'm surprised you can manage to pry yourself away to get out and be social."
no subject
He flashed her another smile at her comment. To be completely honest he never left, he was always connected to it at some level.
"I find really, really good motivation to get me out."
no subject
She turned to face Tony, leaning against a worktable, and smiled up at him. "Better lock up anything you don't want me getting into, because you just got yourself a regular guest."
no subject
Tony smiled at her as he leaned in a bit closer to her, giving her a skeptical look.
"Is that so you know which of my things are worth getting into?" he asked. "Somehow I doubt a padlock would stop you from taking a peek at them."

Tosh had a curious streak that ran deep, but she respected secrets probably more than a lot of people did.
no subject
"But all the secret projects like that I keep in my briefcase," he said, nodding towards the object that was sitting on the bench. "Besides, anything really valuable I lock up in my bedroom."
no subject
She was just about to make a remark about locking his valuables in his bedroom wasn't the safest move he could make when the implied double meaning struck her, and she stuttered and then blushed, deeply complimented. "You're a flatterer," she said softly, somewhat at a loss for words.
no subject
"I don't think it's flattery," Tony said, his expression full of sincerity. "I think call it like I see it."
no subject
Tosh was smiling as she spoke, and her words were lighthearted. What kind of inventory would have his work right out where anyone in the world could see them, after all?
She ducked her head again, then reached up to touch the lapel of Tony's suit coat. "I like how you see things."
no subject
"I really like what I'm seeing right now," he told her, staring back into her eyes. It might have sounded a bit corny if it weren't for the fact that he meant every word.
no subject
"So do I," she said softly. "You scare me a little bit, Tony, but I really like you."
no subject
"Then I guess it's okay to admit that I'm a little frightened by how amazing you are?"
no subject
Which was maybe a dangerous admission to make to someone she'd really only just met. But Tosh had a habit of falling fast, and hard, no matter how dead set she was against it.
no subject
Tony had had his heart broken before, both literally and metaphorically. Because of that he came with a certain hardness in that area but he understood that not everyone was like that.
no subject
A little bit of hardness would have benefited Tosh, because she never seemed to quite learn from past experiences. Although these days, she was beginning to believe it might be worth some heartache to accomplish as much living as she could manage.
no subject
He kissed her again, this time a bit more passionately than he had before. As much as his body was screaming at him to take more he knew that wouldn't be a good idea with Tosh. Nor did he want to. This wasn't going to be just another one night stand.
no subject
The kissing was fantastic, though, and she was perfectly happy to lean into him a little, one hand resting lightly on his cheek, as they kissed. Just the fact that he was being this gentle and slow with her meant a great deal to Tosh.
no subject
"Are you sure that your pool game is the second most impressive thing about you?" he asked with a grin.
no subject
"You'll have to make good on your offer to play sometime, and see for yourself, I suppose. What about you? Is there something more impressive about you than I've already seen?"
She wasn't fishing, in fact Tosh was pretty sure it would be quite the challenge for her to be more impressed than she was already.
