When; May 26th, in the afternoon, dudes
Rating; I'm sure with the other girls it's G, but considering Lady's mouth? Probably not
Characters; Lady (
quamserena), Kyrie (
sing_my_fatih), Atora (
sohappyforyou), and Esther (
lefeufollet)
Summary; Being that the last few weeks have been made of utter fail and too much stress, Lady off-handedly suggests to get the other three out. Too bad they've totally commandeered it to making it a girl's day out.
Log;
There wasn't a complete idea on her part to do something, just a vague idea. Something that usually comes up when you're doing dishes or cleaning. It's funny what sort of deep train of thoughts can wander into a mind when you're doing dishes. We need to get out. Yeah, something to that effect. Get a lunch, or something. Hopefully something that would be quick and painless, something that didn't involve a lot of social interaction. Those who knew Lady, knew that she wast the type to quietly lurk in the back of a group, wouldn't say much, unless it really interested her. Outside the network, she was anything but social. Hardly took a liking to venturing out as of now, something that was evidently reserved for Radu Barvon.
But these three were evidently special. It wasn't normal to find a few she could easily become so fond of -- the influences and circumstances of various curses and events must have changed that. Whatever. Lady didn't put much thought into it. She'd also gave them some sort of vague meeting spot, didn't quite go into detail. Assuming Atora, who was often pushy and outgoing, in Lady's opinion, would likely lead the three other young women. Oddly, Lady was fine with that. Just as long as it didn't involve something ridiculous or uncomfortable. Come on, the other two didn't seem to be so eager to do clubbing or anything like that, so how could she go wrong?
After all, behind the duty of a demon huntress, a paranormal investigator, and perhaps frequent observer here, Lady was still fairly young. Something of a scowl on her face -- she might have grown impatient about now. A dark look on her face, as if she was going to head out into a mission, though nothing but apprehension and doubts were clouding her head. Some things of little or no relation to today. They could use the break, Lady was insistent upon it. The last curse was horrible enough as it was. She'd half-wondered long enough, a single girl standing under a lamp post, wearing a tank top and completely faded out jeans, rocking on the soles of her shoes, peering down, waiting.
So she was always horribly impatient.

She felt bad enough about being slightly late as it was, habit slightly askew as she ran to the meeting place; if it weren't for Abel keeping her, Esther thought to herself, she probably would have been able to make it on time. But with Abel, she was left wondering whether he really was that happy that she was spending time with other people, or if he was worried, or if he secretly wanted her to stay in the apartment where he could always keep an eye on her. Oh, well. He could whine, he could go into a fit of glee-- it made no difference to Esther, because she was intent on enjoying herself for the night.
As much as she was ever able to enjoy herself around the same sex, anyway. Usually Esther found it strangely hard to identify with them as much as she did her male friends.
"Miss Lady!" Esther exclaimed, slightly out of breath and cheeks flushed as she approached the lamp post. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting!"

Lady and Esther were already there, though Esther looked like she'd just arrived. Kyrie cast Lady an apologetic look, recognizing the rather impatient body language that indicated she'd been waiting for a bit.
"Hello Lady, Esther. I'm sorry I'm a bit late." It seemed a poor way to start the evening, especially considering Kyrie still wasn't certain exactly what they were going to be doing. The plans that they had made were tentative at best, and Lady hadn't seemed at all receptive of them. Kyrie didn't want to do something that Lady wasn't going to enjoy--the whole point of the evening was to spend time together and relax.

That's if she ever saw one to begin with.
Making her way to the trio, her heels clicking along the concrete stone, Atora flashed her trademark grin and waved wildly. "Hello ladies!" she announced, making sure to add in a bit more volume than usual, just for Lady's benefit.
"Are we ready for the day?"

Maybe Kyrie had the presence similar to Kalina Ann to make Lady behave, sort of speak. So hopefully it wouldn't come as a complete shock if Lady greeted them friendly enough?
"Hey," Pushing off from where she was leaning to greet both of them, "Don't worry about it, I wasn't out here long." Lady assured, although her stance earlier could have said otherwise. Well, there was truth to that, there was. The girl was just simply not used to this sort of thing, social outings, not without Radu. Calm, composed, up until turning over her shoulder, knowing full well who the third voice was -- Atora, of course. She'd give her half a glance, burring some sort of mental exasperation. It could only get interesting from here couldn't it? "And now we have Atora."
"Well, I don't know, do we need anything else, guys?" A quick glance to each of their faces, when, at last, Lady's expression softened.

Her gaze fell to the toes of her own shoes, white but slightly scuffed, and Esther tilted back on her heels, grinding one into the pavement. Hands clasped bashfully behind her back.
"I don't think we do?" Esther replied uncertainly. "Although I'm not the one making plans, so..."
She was glad that Kyrie had tagged along. Lady seemed almost nervous, somehow, and Esther didn't know Atora all that well yet. Absentmindedly, she shifted slightly in Kyrie's direction.
"Although, admittedly, I'm not even sure what our plans are?"

Kyrie cast Lady another look--there's a hint of her apology lingering in her eyes--before offering Esther a small smile and a slight shrug.
"I don't think we ever made definitive plans. Other than to meet here." Kyrie wasn't sure if she should bring up the manicures or not--Lady hadn't seemed receptive to the idea earlier, and she didn't look much like her opinion would have changed in the short time since then.

"First, we go shopping!" She could see the scuff on Esther's shoes from a mile away. The girl was a nun, sure, but it didn't mean she had to dress like she was dead. Kyrie... well, Kyrie was Kyrie. Nice girl. A little plain jane, but not horribly so.
Lady, on the other hand... Atora decided she would make Lady her pet project. Lady would be a different girl by the end of the day or at least look like one. Even if Atora had to fight her. She'd seen that look from Lady many times before. Please. It didn't deter Atora before and it wouldn't now.
"We go get new outfits and then new shoes!" she said, crossing her arms and rocking back on her heels.

Esther couldn't help but make her snicker, shaking her head. For a split second, Lady almost forgot why she was angry. But as for Kyrie, Lady could only return an actual smile to her, seeing her expression. She just couldn't form a snappy or snarky response to her. Which was good. Getting on Nero's bad side was at the bottom of Lady's list, anyway.
"Don't worry about it," The demon hunter assured them, "You guys... do whatever you want, remember? I'm happy as long as I don't end up with flowers in my hair and winding up in a pink dress."
Yes, that was meant for you, Atora. Blue and red eyes turning to her, Lady knowing full well she stood out from all three of them, their fancy clothing, stuck there in worn out jeans and numerous faded scars all over. She snorted at Atora.
"I'm content with my shoes and clothing, thanks." Looking indigent, eyeing Atora, before politely reminding herself that getting into a glare contest with Kyrie and Esther around was not worth it. This girl could easily lead a charge, taking a few shuffled steps to move.
Okay, she can stop eyeing Atora wearily, placing a reassuring hand on Esther's shoulder. God damn it, it's fine.

Esther jumped a little bit as the weight fell on her shoulders, then relaxed, before finally drawing her face into a pout of sorts and eying Lady. All within the span of a couple of seconds.
"If Miss Lady is fine with her shoes and clothing," Esther complained, playing with her white leather gloves, "Then so am I. Father already bought me a new dress just a couple of days ago, but as a nun I shouldn't be wearing anything but my habit."
Even if, sometimes, Esther wondered if anyone in the City cared about what she wore. Or if God Himself would really mind.
"I like my habit, anyway..." she trailed off.
