Log: Ongoing
When: 7:00 pm
Rating: Pg-13 to R, because you never know what Greed's going to say.
Characters: Greed and Tayuya
Summary: Greed is on a secret dinner date with Tayuya.
Log: Upon entry to the large room, one can see that it looks to be a place that was at one time used for storage. Long, crimson curtains reach downward from the high ceiling, trailing over every surface, while aged statues of indeterminate origin are scattered about as if someone had simply shoved the massive structures to the side. A few sparse pieces of furniture can be seen, including several large dressers, an over-sized bed he seems to have hauled in through the skylight and simply dropped, and an ornate banquet table covered in numerous varieties of food. The rest of the area has various bric-a-brac he seems to have taken from all over the city. The room has an overall haphazard look to it, yet has a strange, masculine appeal. Surely Greed must be here somewhere...

Casting about for sign of the homunculis... or whatever the fuck he was, Tayuya took one step forward, hand on flute. Once again, a precaution. She sense a precense, yes, but she couldn't seem to pinpoint it. He wasn't human, which could explain this. Since she was dead after all, she threw caution to the wind.
"Greed?"
no subject
"Yo, Ta-chan! Good to see ya'!"
He hopped down the 300 foot drop, landing in front of her.
"I knew you'd come."
no subject
"Ta-chan?" She grumped, arms crossed over her chest. "I don't call you Greedy-poo, or some shit like that." She smirked. "Come now, it's Tayuya."
no subject
"Okay, okay, I gotcha'. No silly names. Though people have called me a greedy shit, before."
He strolled to the table and pulled out a seat for her.
"For the lady?"
no subject
"Are you serious?" She asked, glancing from the chair to the man and back to the chair. Not many people called her a lady either. Her first impulse for a long time had been to avoid all men, but since she was dead she figured she'd try out some new avenues.

He formed his finger into a shielded claw and carved a gash over where his "heart" would be, which instantly healed.
"I'm just bein' proper. Please."
no subject
She did watch fascinated as the wound seemed to just be swallowed up by healed skin, leaving nothing to show for it. Blinking a few times as if to clear her head, she sat down, rather unlady-like, as usual.
"Thanks."
no subject
"Anything I can get for you? I live to serve young women. I already chose my meals earlier on. I'll get them after."
no subject
"Where'd you get all this?" She asked instead, craning her neck to look Greed in the eyes, she hated being short sometimes. A lot.
no subject
"There's not a whole lot you can't get here, if you know how to look and who to ask. Being on good terms with people like Hattie, who owns this place, is also good. Truth be told, I also swiped a lot from last nights party. You should see the liquor stash I hid. Not that I can really get drunk. Metabolism burns too fast."
no subject
"Connections, hmm? And a thief? Seems you make good work of the festivities." She eyed the chair next to her. "Would you sit down? You're damn tall." As she said it she was reaching across the table for a steak, as usual, manner-less.

He sat and grabbed a rack of ribs with his hands, greedily chomping into it, the shark-like teeth shearing through flesh and bone.
"Now that's good eatin'!"
no subject
Stabbing the steak with a knife, leaning over the table on tip-toes, she managed to snake it back towards her plate. She cut a bite off and chewed thoughtfully.
"Good." She nodded. And reveled in it. She hadn't eaten this well since... well... before she died.

"A little hair of the dog? This shit's strong, I'll warn ya'!"
He reached with another hand and stuffed a garlic roll into his mouth. Then he moves several dishes closer to her range.
no subject
"I can take it." She offered, taking a swing straight from the bottle then giving a 'pah' of breath after swallowing, wiping her mouth with the back of her hand.
"Strong, yes."
no subject
He took a swig himself, between mouthfuls of lamb.
no subject
"So, Greed." She gestured with her fork. "What do you do exactly? Or did, in your world?"

Tayuya immediately responded. And it was true. Being a ninja was all she knew. It was all she had been trained to do. And quitting it would be like taking a dog off the trail, so to speak.
"What purpose would I have, then? It wouldn't even keep Kimimaro and Kabuto off my back, so it doesn't help there." Her eyebrows knit together. "And then I'd be nothing."

"You've got me there, I suppose, Greed. Almost too simple."
no subject
no subject
"Wish I could do the same."
She stood, trying to figure out how much time had passed. Kimimaro would be waiting for her at the apartment, probably with that superiority face and the 'where were you?' She shook her head.
"Thanks for the meal, Greed." She grinned. "I'll be back if you keep providing such damn nice food."

"Maybe."
And with that, she was out the door.
