After a week of being cooped up in the hospital and then the flat, Tosh was more than ready to get out. The fact that getting out involved dinner with Tony only made it that much more gratifying. She'd left word with her flatmates, made sure she was wearing something flattering (and the earrings he'd given her) and hurried out to meet him at the designated time, at Angelo Amore.

He leaned back now, smiling in satisfaction. This was certainly going to be an interesting evening. Fun, but interesting. Tosh seemed to be full of surprises.

"You'd better eat then," he said, indicating her plate. "You're going to need your strength."

"You're the one going to be in weevil restraints," Tosh pointed out, before picking up her fork and grinning. "I assume you own a handheld welding torch?"

"A welding torch? Now this is getting very kinky, Tosh," he said with a chuckle before cutting into his steak and taking a bite. He loved how nothing with Tosh was ever normal... but it seemed perfectly normal for them.

"You want to be able to get back out of them, don't you?" she laughed, hiding her face behind one hand for just a moment. Thank god Tony never seemed to mind when she made odd leaps of logic, or when her mind raced off on some tangent that seemed to make sense only to her.

"I think you just like winding me up."

"Okay, that's a good point," Tony said with a chuckle. Being permanently attached to his bed wasn't high up on his list of things. For a short time while Tosh was there wouldn't be so bad.

"I do, but I really like it when I unwind you afterwards."

"Pretty fond of that part myself," she admitted, peeking up at him. "Honestly, it's a good thing we're having this talk in person and not across the network. You'd have everyone thinking all sorts of things about me."

And while Tosh wasn't averse to having some fun, she rather preferred to keep that information limited to Tony.

"I would be sure to make it private," Tony told her with another grin as he took a sip of wine.

"It's much more fun knowing I'm the only one that gets to see that side of you," he added. Which was true. It was more enjoyable when things like that were kept behind closed doors between two people.

"I've got a tendency to forget people are watching sometimes," Tosh said, with a sheepish look. She was doing better, since Jack had given his recitation of her activities, based simply off network chatter.

"I'm not the exhibitionist of the team, so I'm glad you think so."

"It's a mistake that a lot of people make," Tony assured her. "Trust me, often I'm the guy watching. Or at least my organization is."

Laughing, Tony arched an eyebrow. "You're not, or you're just not the most obvious one?"

"I know, but I'm supposed to be the one concerned with our security, and instead I'm always the one winds up telling people things I shouldn't."

Tosh shook her head ruefully, but had to smile in puzzlement at Tony's question. "What makes you say that?"

"Well, that's the easiest kind of security breach to fix," he told her. "You just don't tell people things you shouldn't."

"Because," Tony said, sipping his wine again. "I think you really like the idea of using the restraints."

"Well obviously that's the solution," Tosh said, with a little laugh. "It's just that sometimes I have a little difficulty with...trusting people too easily."

She colored a little again, and replied, "That doesn't actually make me an exhibitionist, you know."

"A problem everyone should have," Tony said. "Too many people have been hurt too often by trusting."

Tony leaned forward again, relishing the blush Tosh gave. "No, but now you're thinking that just maybe, you might be."

"Maybe, but there does come a point when a person should take a lesson from the consequences."

Tosh began to suspect he was trying to make her blush, which didn't really help stop it from happening. But she leaned in toward him, and replied softly, "Or it might be just that I'm thinking you were right about your first point instead."

Tony leaned in a bit farther and softly kissed Tosh before very reluctantly pulling away.

"Either way I think that I'm really going to enjoy the outcome," he told her.

The kiss earned Tony a warm smile, and Tosh sat back as well. "I feel pretty sure so will I," she murmured.
