Summary; Rose challenged the Doctor to a drinking contest. This is the contest.
The Doctor had dressed up for tonight, putting on his tuxedo and leaving the coat Janis had given him back at the TARDIS. It was a sort of victory celebration and contest all rolled into one. He was pretty sure that even Rose realized that she was going to lose this contest, but it was something they both needed. To get out of the TARDIS and have a little fun. Besides, this was a safe place to do it, it wasn't like he could drink and travel here. He remembered a time when he had done that and it had ended badly.
Rose's arm was slipped into his as they made their way to the Lux, the Doctor beaming eagerly. As much as he hated being trapped here the Doctor did love the diversity of the City and the chance to see things he never would otherwise. And now that Davros and the Master was here... they were his responsibility and he was needed here to take care of them.

Still, he was here and now things were...She pushed those thoughts away before it could be completed and smiled at him as they made their way inside the Lux. She had decided on wearing her green dress for the evening which was new and comfortable especially for the summer weather.
"So, are you ready to lose Time Lord?" She smirked.

"But in this case I don't have to worry about it," he added. Perhaps he was a bit smug about it all but he had seen Rose drink before and while she wasn't a light weight she really shouldn't challenge people. "Would you like to dance a bit before we get started? I think we should enjoy ourselves a bit before we get right to things."
no subject
The response to dancing was almost instant with a smile, "Oh, I’d love to."
As they approached the establishment, Rose could faintly hear the music inside. It sounded quite lovely. "Gonna show me some new moves this time?"
no subject
"Ohhh, I don't know if you're ready to handle some of my moves," he warned her, his expression comically serious. "I've got moves you can't even imagine."

While she may not have 900 years of experience to draw on the Doctor had no doubt that Rose would continue to surprise him with things. He never would have taken her on as his companion if he didn't think that. And you had to admire her attitude.

"Do you think they know any songs from other planets here?" the Doctor asked. "Some of the moves I know are hard to use to Earth music."

As they were led inside, Rose couldn't help but maintain her smile, "You know, doesn't it feel funny not using psychic paper?"
no subject
"Well, sometimes I do get invited to important events you know," he said. "Well, by invited I mean told about. Well, by told about I mean over hear about."
no subject
"So, what sort of alien music are you in the mood for?"
no subject
He smiled at her and gave her a wink. "Ohhh, I think some music from the aliens who live on the planet that rotate about the sun named Sol will be just fine for tonight."
no subject
She beamed at him, "Excellent choice. I think that’d be lovely."

Grinning, he took her by the hand and quickly spun her into a dancing position. "You know, if it's all too much for you."

"And now that you mention it, I don't really know how it gets cleaned..."

The Doctor and spun Rose before pulling her close for a kiss. "We could take a vacation there after our vacation in Barcelona."
no subject
Rose's lips pressed against his, kissing him back and then she smiled. "That sounds like it would be lovely. A vacation after a vacation." It was a really great idea. Different. "You know when we get there," she stated referring to Barcelona. "We could probably get a house there too, yeah?" And then she bit her lip and looked down for a moment at their feet, "Um, well if you wanted."

"Well then how about we make the most of the money we have here and now and get to drinking." She gave him a playful smirk, knowing full well that she was going to lose.
no subject
"Now what sort of drinks are you wanting?" he asked. "You should start with the good ones because towards the end you won't even be tasting them."
no subject
Brushing her index finger against her chin, she looked thoughtful for a moment, making a small list in her head. "Margarita, Screwdriver, and maybe a Pina Colada, if you can handle it." And then there was that very confident grin again as her eyes stayed on him. "Do you have any preferences?"
no subject
"Ohh, those sound just fine to start off. Of course, then we'll have to move on to something like a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster."
no subject
Reaching the bar area, she pulled back one of the stools and sat down crossing her legs with a grin towards his direction. "Well then, sweetheart, let's get to drinking."
no subject
"Just don't drink so much I have to carry you home," the Doctor said.
no subject
She observed as the bartender went on making the drinks. "And if it did, you probably wouldn’t even be able to carry me back," she teased glancing at the Doctor with a small grin. The bartender turned around and served the couple the Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. The blonde stared at her tall glass for a moment, not expecting that one so soon but she wasn’t going to let it bother her.
