Log;

Small feet set down outside of the City perimeter, Golondrina slung over her shoulder and the first release, large, golden wheel, swinging free behind her.

Arturo Plateado was back.

How cruel, City. And to come back memory free? Even more of an inconvenience for her. Now she'd have to work him all over again, and it wasn't going well at all. Well, it wasn't going well because, one, he didn't seem to come from the same time, and two, because she was too much of a bitter person to forgive him for leaving her.

She never did.

This creature that defied him -- this Cirucci Thunderwitch -- dared to challenge him? The very idea was the epitome of foolish! The shinigami may have won this last battle, but he was no mere being. None had feared a power as they feared his, and she sneered at it!

Arturo Plateado would teach her silence.

In opposition to their once interactions -- details he knew not, from a life or form he was not -- he stepped from the shadows, dark energy crackling on occasion over the green bleedoff, the 'wings' that were the sign of his reiatsu in the heightened anticipation of battle.

Arturo could see her, see that which linked her to his form of power. He could see the Hollow, but freed from that state, but she was not at his level. Her words had been petty, bitterness tainting them, instead of the pride and confidence of one who had pulled this power from themselves.

"You have come to be defeated?" He snorted, an amusement as he crossed his arms. "A foolish motion to take, for one who seemed to know of me."

"Allies? Hah! There are none in existence! You fool yourself to think I would require them." Arturo watched her, but it lacked a sense of caution or fear. His expression became blank, unreadable in his observation of her ritual, the routine she needed to start a battle she would not survive. "There is nothing to remember of a place I do not know."

Those 'usual' actions were nothing to him, impassively seen. Arturo lowered his arms, not so matchingly foolish to be vulnerable to attack when she came so close to him. His lip curled up, a quick laugh to scoff at her words.

"Then you have truly deluded yourself, for there is nothing of you that I could ever feel worth remembering."

These words and antics of hers were different then he knew, but Arturo held his head high and stared down at her, his power held as above hers, his status better. "When you have shown no power otherwise?"

Arturo raised his hand, black crackling along it as his smiled that the cold sadism of his kind. "No, you are a mere Hollow. Serve me, if you like, but you will not be my equal."

It was not expected, that she would grow so foolish as to attack. Arturo had been watching her to know when to strike down the pest that buzzed at him with meaningless words of nostalgia, of memories he did not possess.

Arturo jerked his body aside, a motion to start the momentum that lead into sonido to evade. His appearance flickered a moment, the naked eye unable to track it until it slowed again some ten feet to the side as he let his arm fall with a single strike of bala.

This creature could move, Arturo acknowledged that. And though he could move, he faced her second attack, crossing his arms before him to gather his reiatsu in a wall of force. The bright hue of green darkened to a different colour palette, the artist's brush one of destruction in this show of power.

"Hah, come now! Offer me power if you wish to be considered anything more than a songbird!" Arturo laughed, the bala exploding against his force, stirring but the dust and a few stray hairs that he brushed aside. The taint upon his own wings continued as he stirred up the summoning of power that he could unleash in a cero beyond a Hollow's means.

An unsightly disruption. Arturo had time to note that with a sneer before the overreaching Hollow broke past the wall of his reiatsu and broke the concentration of power with her invasive existence. He refused to budge despite it, raising his arm to deflect her pitiable vision of a weapon -- one that bit hard, he noted as pain shot through his wrist and arm -- and reaching with his other hand to grab for her body and keep the screeching songbird from flitting away.

"Enough! Power you claim, but you deliver nothing!" he growled.

The form shifted, the songbird mutating at the sharp command. Arturo sneered at the burst of reiatsu that fed into the air, funneled into her spiteful form. "And this is it?" he scoffed, pulling hard on his arm -- were she to let go, he could use sonido to escape the mutation of limbs that could harm him; were she to cling hard, it would be but one step in their deadly dance.

Green wings darkened, the taint of power deepened as his arrogance shifted to anger, the emotion that fed Hollows and those superior to them. It fed the Arrancar and the sneer twisted, a sadism clear in his yes as his own reiatsu built in ignorance to physical threats. Were she but to be obliterated in this, with a cero placed so close, then he need not concern himself with the likes of her changing power.

Arturo felt the air grow heavy with the power that continued to grow even as she flit back with a twitch of wings and blades. Imperfect though it was -- unfinished, a blemish compared to its full power -- it still broke the air with a nigh audible snap as he released his grip upon it, sending the force exploding outwards to counter her.

He did not evade what did not deflect, unflinching at the blades that passed near him, even those which cut slight into his skin. They were nothing to him, as this show of power; nothing broke his expression. Not the pain, not the thought that she possessed more than he scoffed, though not enough to destroy him.

"I see naught but a bird, screeching and beating her wings at the cat!"

This could continue, with the slow flood of blood dulling the edge of his powers and perception, but his patience was not in this fight. Centuries of being forced to wait left it a dry taste to consider holding himelf too long.

Arturo snapped an arm out, taking the force of a bala against his palm with a bracing of reiatsu. His heels dug back against the force, ground turning beneath him as he launched forward to escape the centre of her attacks, twisting in the air to face Cirucci as black lightning laced over his arm and cut through the air. It crackled a few times before a final snap as it disappeared, designed to reappear and encircle her if she but remained there to trigger the trap.

"Forget something that could not bear remembrance? Hah! I could know nothing so pathetic and preaching in the times I have known! Cease this speaking of such foolish aires!"

[identity profile] winged-hubris.livejournal.com 2008-07-23 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Arturo crossed his arms, lips turned up in a cruel smile as the trap caught and held the little songbird, but his amusement faded in but a handful of seconds. "Desist with this suicidal obsession and you may live, Thunderwitch," he warned in cold tones, turning from her.

That trick of lightning would not last, but his desire to destroy her lay even with his desire to simply leave something so desperate to despise itself, to not give it a satisfaction of defeat. Arturo chose to begin walking, the darkness of the green-hued wings lessening its taint as he let conscious seals take their place once more.

[ooc; honestly, he prolly would get only a few steps before it broke completely, treat as you like~?]
