I've been gone for nearly a month.
[Kind of runs a hand through his hair as he thinks.]
You were just heading home from school?
no subject
A month? You were right with me and the others. Yes, of course we were heading home.
[Looks down to see the football. They've been here playing games?]
no subject
[Wow doesn't that look bad? He sort of moves the ball behind him as if that might help remove the look from her face.]
no subject
[Kind of ignoring Caspian and Susan antics.]
But you're all right? Nothing's happened since you got here?
no subject
[Sighs and lifts her head.]
I'm fine. I heard strange sirens today and got rather lost from where I came...or so I thought. Nothing is familiar here.
no subject
[Nodnod then another look at Peter while addressing Susan.]
We should take you to where we are staying, and explain.
no subject
[Sighs heavily. He's glad Susan's here, but he's crazily worried about Edmund and Lucy now, even with the time 'rift' & all that jazz.]
We've been living down here for a while... It's probably easier if we sat down and explained.
no subject
[Yes, it would seem that there is a lot more things to be explained.]
Where do you live in this place...City?
no subject
Come with us. It is ah... a flat.
[Peter taught him that one really.]
no subject
[Kind of wants to hug Susan, just because it's been so long, but knows that it probably won't happen.]
You didn't bring anything with you, I suppose?
no subject
I don't suppose I'll be needing this here though.
[Brief smile at the thought.]
Oh and a strange kind of type writer. I couldn't find any paper for it or place to roll it in. It must be broken.
no subject
It is how most people communicate here, when they are unable to meet.
[It's something like that anyway. The walk to their apartment isn't too far, complete with the under construction carport-turned-horse stall. It's near completion though.]
no subject
[Kind of turns around to face Susan, with a fake grin. Have some floppy hand motions!]
It's not bad, is it?
no subject
It's in my bag. I had some room for it.
[She takes note of what looks like the beginnings of a stable. How peculiar.]
no subject
We have two bedrooms. You will take one while you are here.
[Someone has to give theirs up for the lady though. He unlocks the door and of course holds the door open for her. Ladies first.]
no subject
You can take mine. I'll sleep on the couch for a bit.
no subject
Thank you, Peter.
[Approaches the couch, the one Peter will sleep on.]
All of this is yours? How?
no subject
Because we are.. sixteen.. we are given monetary compensation.
[Welfare.]
no subject
[Kind of stands around awkwardly.]
Do you need anything to eat?
no subject
No, but thank you. You both were going to tell me what is going on?
[Politeness coats the expectant tone.]
no subject
[Another look at Peter then he clears his throat.]
It seems this place pulls people from their homes, much like it was for you in the old stories.
no subject
Only, we're stuck here.
no subject
First we're taken and then we're-we're stuck?
[Looks to Caspian. Belatedly, she realizes she ignored his hospitality.]
May I have some water. Please.
