Log: Ongoing
When; August 24
Rating; Unrated atm, though that might change depending on what happens.
Characters;
hyuuga_hime,
weaponed, any other characters that want to join in.
Summary; Tenten and Hinata take a trip to the mall to get Hinata some clothes, and to have some "girl-time".
Log; Hinata stood in front of the large glass and concrete structure, hands clasped behind her. She rocked slightly back and forth on the balls of her feet, opal-hued eyes glancing from side to side as the slight breeze blew her dark indigo-coloured hair. She shivered slightly in the chill breeze. It was cold. Glancing up at the grey sky above her, the Hyuuga girl wondered if perhaps it would snow soon. The thought made her smile. She loved the snow, that pristine white fluff that fell softly through the sky to pile on top of and cover the entirety of the world. In the snow, things seemed so silent, so pure and untouched, that it made it easier for her to forget her troubles for a moment. She raised her chilled hands to her face and blew on them, rubbing cold fingers against each other for warmth before stuffing them into the pockets of the dark blue jeans that she had borrowed from Tenten. The jacket was also borrowed, and Hinata was thankful for the fact that it was a bit oversized. She'd been rather embarassed to find that she was a bit...curvier..in places than the other girl. It only served to make the shirts fit tighter and closer to her body then she was really comfortable with. Which just meant that she was all-the-more determined to find her OWN clothes and rectify the "problem", as she saw it. She glanced up as she heard someone call her name, waving to Tenten as the brunette ran up.
"Tenten-san, ready to go?"
At Tenten's nod, they headed inside the mall.
"Tenten-san, I wanted to thank you for coming with me. I mean, I really appreciate you letting me borrow your clothes and things, but I'd really like to get some things of my own."

Tenten was thinking back to second trip to the underground, and replaying every attack she'd seen a certain silver haired boy use. He hadn't been that bad a fighter, not that she'd admit it. A grin creapt across her face at the thought and she glanced over her shoulder to make sure Hinata was keeping up. "But I suppose it doesn't matter. New clothes are better than sweaty old ones, right?" She paused outside a shop that didn't look too overpriced, waiting for Hinata's approval.

"That's definitely true. I just wish I had come here during the daytime. At least then, not only would I have had my regular clothes rather then my nightclothes, but I would have had my wallet with me. As it is, I only have a little bit of money. I just hope it's enough."
Though she didn't realize it, she had plenty of money. Being brought up in a noble family was something that would certainly give you a slightly skewed idea of what "enough" money was. It wasn't so much that Hinata had that same idea, she had just never been in a situation where there wasn't enough money.
The pale-eyed girl made her way over to one of the racks of clothing, shuffling through it slowly. She frowned slightly. Hinata wasn't the sort of girl who tended to go shopping a whole lot. Her shyness, coupled with her quiet nature and her tendancy to conceal her figure, left her in a position to where she usually just sent one of the house servants with a list of her sizes and her favourite colours. When she did go shopping on her own, it was usually for specific items that she didn't have to look very hard for. Nothing like this. She couldn't help but feel a tad overwhelmed by the sheer volume of selections she had to peruse through.

"Just choose some things you'd like. We can always come back if we need too." She smiled reassuringly at the smaller shinobi, glancing about the shop.

Kabuto grabbed the girl's hand, and dragged her a little further off into the maze that was the girls section of clothing, every now an then pulling something from the fray. After several minutes of this he stopped in front of the changing room and stuffed the pile of lace and frills into the shy girls arms. "Those should all fit, judging from your build. Good thing I came looking for clothing myself today. If I hadn't who knows what you might have picked out." He turned to Tenten. "Really, you should be more helpful to the girl, I doubt she knows what she's doing. Hyuuga's would never let one of their own go shopping like this."

She knew what it was to be in Neji's shadow.
As soon as Kabuto appeared she'd frowned, fingers instinctively reaching for her weapons and holding tight. She watched, rather amazed, at Kabuto's choice in clothing before laughing. Hard.
"Lace and frills aren't that handy on a battle field, Kabuto-san. You should let her chose by herself. I'm sure she'd like a break from always being told what to do." Her grip didn't loosen as she waited for his retort.

He stared at the kunoichi for a moment before dissapearing into the maze of clothing once more, then appeared with another armful of things. He shoved them into Tentens grasp. "You try these on." What he had grabbed for the girl consisted of a few dresses, rather form fitting and complimenting for someone with a less curvy build and some jeans and t-shirts in colors, beside the usual pink, that would look good on the girl.

It wasn't so much that she wanted a fight. But the male population of the city had been getting on her nerves recently and if a clothing store was sacrificed in the name of letting off steam, Tenten wasn't going to think twice about it. She had at least one summoning scroll on her... and that was all she needed.

Do I really have to try on ALL of this?
Kabuto was right, of course. She'd never really done much shopping on her own, and when she HAD, it had been for something specific. She bit her lower lip slightly before closing her eyes and reaching into the pile. It couldn't be that bad, could it?

She stared at the article in her hand, then at the pile. There was a rather alarming amount of...pink in the pile... With a gulp, she finished getting dressed and turned to stare at herself in the mirror. As her eyes traced the form mirrored in the glass, her cheeks turned as pink as the dress (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/UsoyaminoTsubasa/Clothes%20References/129332-p.jpg) she was wearing. She nibbled on her bottom lip as her fingertips rested on the doorknob. With a gulp, she turned the knob and stepped out as slowly as possible, trying not to notice the fact that not only was she wearing a pink frilly dress, but that she had on kneesocks with lace at the top, cute little pink Mary Janes, and a lace-trimmed pink bow on a headband on top of her head.
"U..um....it's a little...pink"

"If you want to be in charge of this, then fine. I'll go home." Tenten shrugged, hands weapon free. For the time being. "I was hoping to get back to the underground tonight anyway."

He turned his attention back to Hinata. "As I thought, it looks very adorable on you, and pink is a very good color for you Hinata san." He made a shooing motion with his hands. "Alright, show us the next one."

Maybe this one will look alright?
A few moments later, she stepped out again, this time in a rather adorable blue plaid dress (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/UsoyaminoTsubasa/Clothes%20References/130304-ao.jpg). She blushed slightly and spun around in a little circle.
"I like this one better, I think..."

He tapped his chin thoughtfully with a finger for a second. "I do like this one a lot on you, but I still think pink is the better color."

"What exactly are you up to in a girls store anyway, Kabuto?"

"I think you're allowed to do that."
Her face turned even redder at the reminder of the pie incident. That had certainly not been a pleasent situation, and she would gladly wipe it from her mind. Swallowing her remembered embarassment, she continued to try on the entirety of the pile he had handed to her. There was indeed a LOT of pink, though there were a decent number of more "normal" things in there that she liked. After she was finished, she carried the pile back outside and started to sort through it to determine what she wanted to buy.
