Summary; Solomon arrives in the City and Diva is ready to kill him for his past betrayal.
Log;

Solomon, she had thought herself rid of his stupidity. How dare he turn on her for Saya! That was a slight she would never take lightly. His words only served to make her more angry. Diva was many things, naive at times, shallow most often, but never stupid! Leaving her daughters in the care of her human servants. Diva made her way to the fountain and to him.

He chose Saya over her, that was a decision she would make him regret. She wouldn't allow him to just return to her without proper punishment. She was ready to make him suffer over and over and over again. Her nostrils flared at the smell of his blood upon her approach. It felt like forever since she had blood from one of her chevaliers. Just maybe, she would find a use from him after everything was said and done.

This was, he knew, exactly what he deserved. Solomon betrayed her, betrayed his queen for love. It wasn't what he wanted. No, he had tried to convince Saya to join her sister, to stop the fighting, but he had failed. He lost everything, his family, his queen, and his money. In the end, Saya had chosen Haji over him. And yet he still loved her.

This was his worst nightmare, ending up here alone with her. He wondered if he would rather be dead. At least death was an ending. Now he would have to endure whatever punishment she saw fit. There was nothing he could do but wait. Wait for her to come and the punishment to begin.

The sound of his name spoken in her voice chilled him to the bones. She was going to kill him. Death was not something that frightened him. He had been willing to surrender his life to protect Saya. No, what he feared was the torture at Diva's hands. He had seen first hand how just how much she delighted in tormenting others. Most of those she released her fury on it had been innocents, like Riku, and had done nothing to deserve their fate. The thought of what she would do to him, one who truely deserved to be punished, made him feel something he hadn't in centuries. Fear. He had heard the stories of what she did to Joel and knew exactly what fate awaited him.

Solomon met her eyes as they finally met. She was still one of the most beautiful creatures he had ever seen. Although others could not believe such beauty was capable of destruction and chaos, it drew him to her. Both Saya and Diva never looked so beautiful as when they were killing.

"No, Diva," he said, sadly. "Saya chose her own chevalier. She is gone to me. I have lost everything."

Solomon hung his head, resigning himself to his horrible fate. He knew his queen would take pleasure in making him suffer. He only hoped, she would see fit to keep him alive. Perhaps time and maybe this place would lessen her desire for revenge. It was unlikely but Solomon did not want to give up.

Solomon didn't say a word as he dropped to his knees in agony. It surprised him that she was still as strong as he remembered. He had hoped the transformation to this world would haven stolen some of her power. If anything Diva seemed stronger. Or was it possible he had become weaker?

Diva was right. He deserved to die, to suffer, to experience nothing but pain. Solomon knew it was wrong to promise Saya, he would kill Diva. It was the ultimate betrayal. And yet he would not change anything, even if he could. If he had succeeded, perhaps Saya would be his. Having her would was worth risking everything.

Solomon looked up slowly, meeting her eyes as her voice chilled him to his bones. "I have lost all that matters to me." He said, defiantly. "Nothing you can do, can make me feel any more pain than I feel now."

Solomon braced himself for Diva's blow, cringing in pain as she hit him. But, as much as the blow hurt him, her words stung him more. How dare she insinuate that he would have betrayed Saya! It would have been an honor to give his life for her. And now he would never have that chance.

"You are wrong," he said defiantly. "I never would have betrayed
her
, Diva. I loved Saya. She was my true queen."

Although he knew she would punish him severely, Solomon did not regret speaking the truth. Diva may be his queen but he refused to grovel at her feet. "Whatever you do, Diva will never match the pain in my heart."

Her laughter struck terror in his heart. He had heard this laugh several times since he became her chevalier and it had always ended in an blood bath. Maybe it would be better if he died after all.

"I do understand how much you loved her, how much you needed her by your side." Solomon argued, although he knew it was useless. She would never believe him, not after he betrayed her. "I wanted that too. It was
them
, my brothers, who refused to listen."

Solomon saw the dagger, the metal glistening in the night, and he braced himself for the pain and his death. Surely, she would kill him now. Only a few more minutes and it would all be over now.

As soon as the dagger pierced his skin, Solomon knew his death would not be quick. The chevalier knew he could not even comprehend the pain that he would endure.

Blood poured from the wound and Solomon grew weak. His body leaned into the sword, pushing it in deeper. He wondered if this would would be any different. Maybe even he would be able to die from such a blow. Solomon did not know which was worst: Eternal agony or a never-ending death.
