[ log; complete ] seiya & meg - a talk over dinner
When; After this.
Rating; G
Characters; Seiya Kou [
toburnperfectly] & Megumi [
roseblooms]
Summary; Realizing that Seiya might have something on his mind, Meg invites him over for a quiet dinner, hoping he'll be able to find some peace for a little while. Music might happen! ♥
Log;
After receiving Seiya's call, Megumi set to work. She'd just gotten back from checking things in the kitchen at Hymns of Lorelei since she wasn't on call at the hospital today, and after everything that had happened, aside from that one short break she'd had with that jam session with Daryan, all her responsibilities just felt so tasking.
Fortunately the household equipment was generous enough after she'd enchanted them to ease her workload, and as the utensils and things worked on cleaning up after she'd prepared the nice dinner she'd promised Seiya, and the cutlery and dinnerware set themselves at the table, Meg stepped away from the kitchen, wiping her hands with a towel. A shower and outfit change later, she sighed and walked towards the main door of her home and whispered a name. "Seiya Kou"-- she told it. The door would open if he mentioned his name, this was a handy spell that kept intruders from finding her home, though it mostly only worked for those who didn't have powers stronger than her. And at the very least, it kept people like Alexis Hargreaves from finding her. She thanked the stars that he wasn't a magical being.
As she stepped away from the door, her eyes fell on her acoustic-electric guitar that she'd set to a side-- she'd left it there the day Daryan had come over and she'd forgotten to move it. Sighing at her absent-mindedness, she picked it up and headed to the living room, seating herself inside. It was an uninterrupted trip, as the living room was only a few steps into the house and was a comfortable, nice-looking place with her fireplace and couches and she often hosted her friends there. Her display cases, pictures and a music system were there too, and a picture of her-- with Anise, Vivio and A.B.A from earlier sat on the table next to her. The table near the fireplace had some pictures of them too, and some near the fireplace with her and Axl, from when he was here, as well as some with her other friends like Guy and Luke and more.
Her eyes wandered over the room, and then towards the living room balcony that overlooked the rose garden and the city view outside, the curtains parted. Evening was settling in, and she felt nostalgic, seating herself at a couch and folding her legs under her skirt and setting her guitar on her lap.
So much had happened, so much was going to continue happening. She moved a hand to cover her face for a moment, and inhaled softly, before shaking her head.
Friends first. She had to get back to normal... tonight, she would attempt that relaxation with Seiya, and learn a little about him too.
Normalcy, she thought with a quiet smile... how long had it been since she'd felt that?
It would be alright. And chuckling to herself, she began to strum an instrumental piece on her acoustic, just the cover.
It was when she played that she was completely at peace, after all.
Even if it wasn't in the water for now...
So she played, and waited to hear for when Seiya would come by. She wanted to learn more about her new friend, and she hoped this would help him too.

Looking down at the single long-stemmed red rose in his hand, he couldn't help a smirk. How many times hadn't he stood on some stage somewhere with such a rose in his hand, making ready to shine once more? This song too would be a perfect call...
Without really thinking about it, he raised his hand over his eyes, striking his usual pose. He could almost hear the screams from the girls in the audience, feel the rush of excitement spread from them to him, making his entire body tingle. He could almost see Odango in the carousel, beaming at him, her Starseed shining with the same warmth and glow as his Princess...
Odango...
Opening his eyes abruptly, Seiya shook himself out of the memory, letting his arm fall.
Not now.
Noticing finally the feeling of magic that the door emitted, Seiya recalled Megumi's instruction. Plastering on his trademark cocky grin, he swirled the rose once between his fingers and announced his arrival in a loud, confident voice.
"Seiya Kou."
As the door opened, he pushed all thoughts of Odango's shine out of his mind. Megumi was luckily one of the girls who was happy to see him.
He could deal with that.

For just the briefest moment, she couldn't help but imagine Axl, his cocky and yet sweet self, standing there at the prime of his teenage years, ready to sneak her out of her own home. The thought made her smile quietly to herself, before she let the sight fade and allowed Seiya's dark hair and eyes to come into vision, and she walked up towards the door to open it out fully for him, giving him a soft smile.
"Hey there. Right on time." She greeted, stepping back to allow him in, and closing the door behind him, as she paused, setting aside home slippers for him on the upper step that led into her house. It wasn't mandatory, she didn't usually make her western friends conform to that unless they were walking into a room with carpets, but Seiya was from Japan, so he'd probably understand the touch of tradition.
She was happy he was here, sincerely enough, and she chuckled softly. "Make yourself at home, Seiya" She told him, stepping up by his side and allowing herself to admire her younger friend, before stepping up once he was done with the shoes and eyeing the rose in his hand, pretending to look thoughtful, and unable to help but tease, "What a gorgeous bloom that rose has. Sets off your eyes perfectly!" She chuckled lightly, hoping to make him feel comfortable.
First few steps to being a friend, after all...

Megumi was nothing like Odango, not a clumsy teenager who he could force into a pouting fits of cute innocence with his teasing. No, Megumi greeted him politely and without tripping over her own two feet.
It was probably for the best... that Megumi and Odango were not alike at all.
Feeling a leer forming on his lips at her last words, Seiya returned to the present and cocked his head, raising an eyebrow at her. "Of course it does," he answered with an arrogant shrug of his shoulder, "I'm an idol - I've got style."
It was this kind of thing that would normally irritate Odango...
Letting the sentence hang in the air for a moment, noting her amusement, he snorted and made a deep bow in her direction. "However," he continued in a flirtatiously deep voice, holding the rose out to her when he straightened up, "it's not for me. Consider it a gift. Megumi-san."
Allowing Megumi to take the rose, Itsuki's words about all pretty and no depth still haunting in the back of his mind, Seiya added in a somewhat moody voice: "And make sure to tell Itsuki-kun about it, yeah? He says I lack charm." He held his arms out in a despairing manner, uttering an exaggerated sigh before winking at her with a smirk.
It was surprisingly easy to behave like this around Megumi, to be easy-going and arrogant, knowing that it would make her smile.
Very much like...
"We both know that's not true, right?" he told her, not going there. Odango wasn't here. This time his song wasn't for her, but for his Princess. He still wanted to see her (see her shine), but at least he'd finally told her the truth...
The truth -

It wasn't the fact that he gave her the gift-- she loved roses, of that there was no doubt, but the fact that he thought her as someone he could be this way around, a personality that made him happy. At his words about Itsuki, she couldn't help but move a hand under her chin and chuckle softly. "Goodness, I can't imagine what standards he'd like to be charmed with, if he thinks you're not all that." Effort deserved praise, Seiya might be a bit cheesy, but she appreciated the attempt nonetheless.
Smiling at him with a shake of her head, she drew her hand to a side, a hint of magical energy at her fingertips to help the rose levitate out of her hold, she first turned to it and whispered, "Make yourself at home too." As though talking to it, when in actuality she was merely levitating it to a prepared vase she'd set aside when Seiya had mentioned her like of roses.
But she could be a bit of a performer too, and she smiled calmly at Seiya, moving her arms behind her back, though she did notice the hint of distance to his expression. It was odd, she wasn't sure if it was there, so she allowed herself to continue as normal, hoping her little trick would distract him until they were in a more comfortable situation. So she stepped up in front of him, as though to lead him, and gave him a smile. She could do this, right? If it helped him ease up a bit before any problems were discussed, if he'd like that?
"I can't say a person without charm could make a lady's heart go a-flutter like that so easily~" She replied, her gaze a little more understanding than she would have wanted it to be, and then she looked back in front.
"Please come in, Seiya. Dinner's just about ready." Turning and looking over her shoulder once more, she nodded to him, before gesturing to the living room they were to step into with her hand. "Make yourself comfortable first, hm~? And you can tell me how your recording went!"

within herwere not just for fun. They were for war. For battle.
For defeat...Looking at Megumi's calm expression with eyes slightly wide, he felt an almost childishly excited smile find its way onto his lips, despite the hint of survivor's guilt clenching at his heart. "That's a neat trick," he acknowledged, resting his hands on his hips; not afraid of praising her. Seiya might be kind of arrogant, but he was quick to accept other people's strength as well and what she had just done... that was cool.
Almost as cool as Seiya liked to think himself. They were a good match, weren't they? Meeting her eyes, his smile softened and he raised his chin a little, gaze prankish at how easily she agreed with him. Just wait till he could throw this back in Itsuki's face! Tch, in comparison a thousand girls from whatever world he came from wouldn't count for much...
"Oi," he said, voice low and amused, "Megumi-san... you remind me of someone I know. You're mysterious as well."
He thought about Michiru after their concert, remembering her coy voice and mysterious shine. Even before he knew she was Sailor Neptune, he had known for sure she was special.
Hopefully, Megumi didn't have any jealous lovers hanging about, ready to catch him in an awkward moment. After all... it wasn't like he meant anything by it. He had his Princess to think about.
Following her into the living room, he looked around, already feeling more relaxed. Everywhere he looked there were pictures of Megumi and people he didn't know - a certain guy showing up in several of them. Her boyfriend, maybe? He recalled that she'd mentioned one the first time they talked.
Turning his attention back to her, leaving the questions for later (it wasn't like he wanted her to start asking him about Odango either), he sat down on the nearest chair and leaned back to stretch his arms over his head with a loud, satisfied grunt. With a smirk, he shrugged nonchalantly.
"Tch, you know... I feel like an idol again, but it's weird recording without the others." Grinning, he gave her a thumbs up. "But it'll be a hit, even though Taiki probably wouldn't like it." At the thought, Seiya grinned. Taiki had only ever enjoyed Seiya's electric guitar in moderations and with certain... restrictions. With no Taiki around it was wonderfully easy to get carried away.
But... at least now he felt like he had a purpose. That he was doing what he was supposed to do. To sing. To call.
For her.

"Mysterious, huh? Goodness, that's a rather flattering comparison." She commented, through her chuckle. She didn't mind returning the flirtation-- it was good clean fun, wasn't it? She'd already mentioned that she was taken, and it wasn't as though there was anyone here who'd raise any objections.
That thought made her feel a little lonelier than she realized, but she wouldn't allow herself to dwell. There was nothing wrong in not belonging entirely to anyone and not being with the one she loved when it just wasn't possible at this time-- it just meant she had more time to devote to her friends. Like right now.
The way Seiya spoke made her shake her head-- as sweet and alluring as he did sound, it was quite difficult to forget just how young he actually was. That in itself was her motivation to let him have his self-admiration, he was young and why shouldn't he? It's not like he was hurting anyone else. She wouldn't tolerate any insults or put-downs if they were unwarranted, though.
She caught him looking around at the pictures and found herself smiling to herself, though her look became a resigned one when her gaze settled on an image of Axl.
So far away. Always so far away, the only person she would ever devote her love to, and she felt a tightness in her chest as she managed to make herself look away, the smile remaining on her lips as she turned to listen to Seiya speak. Folding her arms loosely across her chest, she settled herself on the armrest of a nearby seat, because she had to get up once the oven finished baking and then ask the utensils to set the table.
Showing that she'd been paying attention, her light laugh was enthusiastic as she replied, "Goodness, that good, is it? You must let me hear when you're done."
Her mind wandered briefly to Axl once more, comparing him with Klavier and Daryan who she had met here, and she couldn't help but chuckle softly as she added Seiya to that list. Professionals, everywhere... Axl was the only one out of them who focused on the fun and the sound before he went into the technical side. So that made Seiya somewhat similar, if he was in for the idolization from his fans.
Moving a hand up to brush her hair behind her ear, she settled a hand to the side, and set her gaze on him.
"Sometimes hearing your own voice can be helpful so you know where you stand, right?" She added, giving him a thoughtful look. "Besides, music isn't music if you're not going to have fun with it. I'm sure your Taiki would understand!"
Encouragement, conversation... she wanted him to be comfortable first. Straightening up slightly, she chuckled and shook her head. "So long as you're doing what makes you happy as well." And those words were one that held a hint of a double meaning, as she watched him. She had a feeling there was more to Seiya's behavior than met the eye... and while she hoped she was only being overly concerned and that nothing was wrong, something told her that it was probably best to make sure he knew he wasn't going to be alone, if ever her fears were true.

If anything, Seiya wanted to forget too. If just for tonight. He'd worked all day, his thoughts circling around his Princess, Galaxia and the two missing Starlights.
He smirked at her, putting her wrong assumption about Taiki down to the fact that she'd never met the distant idol. Anybody who'd met Taiki, unless they were fangirls and fangirls had no excuse, knew that Taiki only understood what he wanted to understand. And Seiya's love for being an idol had never really reflected in neither Yaten nor Taiki. But as Megumi had said... music should make people happy, even when it carried a message.
Shrugging, he let the thought slip. "I guess. Even Taiki knows our music isn't just for us," he told her, his smile becoming cocky, his Princess' soft light vibrant in the back of his mind. She would understand, wouldn't she? She would understand that sometimes he needed to do this... not only for her. Seiya wanted to believe it, but Yaten's and Taiki's accusations rang clearly in his memory. He ignored their voices. "I can't disappoint," he reminded her as if she needed reminding, wriggling a finger at her, trying to appear careless even though his words felt a little too heavy for the mood. "Remember, I have my fangirls to think about." This time there was no melancholy.
He could make her smile. He was a pro, he knew how to entertain. He would make her smile.
The idea hit him suddenly, like bright ideas often did with Seiya and he spoke before he had the time to think: "Na na na, Megumi-san... since you're a special fan of mine, I'll give you a special performance before dinner..." His eyes were teasing her when he continued in a half-teasing, half-chummy murmur: "But only if you promise to keep it a secret just between us, yeah? I can't have someone stealing my lyrics. So, what do you say?"
Even though it was meant as a tease, he actually wanted her to like his music, to hear the love in it. He felt sure she would understand. Seiya had had a lot of fangirls, both in Japan and elsewhere. Not until he'd met Odango, had he experienced any kind of rejection. And when he did, it had piqued his interest...
Yeah, he wanted Megumi to listen to his music. Not only as a fan, but as someone who understood.
If she listened to it and recognised its meaning... he was on the right track. Then, he would be one step closer to wherever his Princess was hiding.
Not to mention that the shadow of sadness in Megumi's eyes would be gone. Seiya didn't like that shadow, it reminded him too much of the expression he'd often seen when looking in the mirror or catching Yaten or Taiki in an unguarded moment.
That sadness...
He would make it go away.

At his suggestion that he was going to give a private performance, Megumi couldn't help but chuckle, though the idea was more than appealing to her. There was something in the way Seiya suggested it-- beyond the appearance of him just wishing to show off, that made it feel like this was probably something that would encourage him for some reason.
And she certainly wouldn't say no to that. Pretending to think for a moment, she spoke as though this was a completely serious matter, "A special private concert by Mr. Seiya Kou? Goodness, I might be breaking some fans' hearts by doing that!" And then, a light, jokingly resigned smile came over her lips as she sighed, pretend-dramatically, and stood up. "I'm in really no position to argue, am I?" She was teasing him, though in reality, if one were to look at her eyes, they'd find her to be absolutely excited at the very idea.
Smiling, she moved her hands behind her back and stepped up beside Seiya's seat, giving the boy a small smile.
"I have a small music lounge here. Can't have you performing without the right setting, hm?" And then, merely out of habit, she extended her hand to him, as though asking for him to take it so she could help him up.
There was something in Seiya's music, something she liked hearing... and it was something that would help her further with this young man, because there was something about it that reminded him of her own situation.
And that was something she hoped no one else would have to suffer.
[ooc; EEee thank you honey, and they really are! And we totally do. Btw, I added you on MSN, and I'm on AIM on OrchidCrescent, give me a poke sometime! :D ]

Hearing her tease him like that only made Seiya like her even more. Megumi really did remind him of Michiru, though her gaze when she looked at him and chuckled was easier to read that Michiru's had been - for obvious reasons. They all had secrets, but in Megumi, Seiya felt no strong light from a Senshi.
Not because he would have wanted her to be one of them. Not with the war raging in their world. Not with Galaxia still on the loose and Star Fighter's Princess nothing but a scent in her memory.
Laughing as she mirrored his own words from so long ago when he was still planning that first intimate show for his friends, he took her hand and allowed her to help him to his feet, raising an eyebrow at her. Wow, a music lounge? Maybe that was an idea he should take up with Itsuki - to get a studio in their own apartment. They could always move Itsuki in with Mana, right, so Seiya could make use of his room? At the thought, Seiya couldn't help chuckling.
"A music lounge?" he repeated, his other eyebrow shooting up as well, "I think I like you more and more, Megumi-san."
Normally, back when he was still lead singer of the Three Lights, any new number they were writing or any new project they were doing had been kept at least somewhat secret until the date of release. Surprise was an effective way of keeping the fans coming. But singing this to Megumi couldn't ruin anything - she wouldn't tell and he still had to reconfirm his status as an idol. Playing for her would be a performance between friends.
Odango would have approved... Seiya felt sure and that was good enough for him.
He mirrored her smile and let go of her hand, his eyes coming to a rest on her guitar. "If you let me borrow your guitar and show me that lounge, I'll give you a performance you won't ever forget, Megumi-san," he said confidently, raising his chin, "that's a promise."
Even Taiki and Yaten would have taken advantage of this opportunity, right? This was a chance of burning perfectly and reaching his Princess with his song. The wave of love would be there for sure...
Seiya hated not being good enough, so tonight he would be perfect. Even if just in front of Megumi.

As he spoke about her guitar, she reached out her hand to whisper a 'come here' under her breath so that the instrument, an acoustic-electric Gibson she used to play with her amplifer, levitated up and into her hands. Then, she smiled at him as she nodded.
"Use any guitar you like, Seiya." She had this, another classical guitar, her favorite Strat and a bass ready for use-- who knew when the mood would strike for what! And then, she nodded to him, before leading him out of the living room, and down the hall outside until they came to a door that led into a beautiful room decorated like a comfortable lounge and even contained a small bar. Of course, the bar was stacked with non-alcoholic drinks, she lived with younger girls after all, and she herself didn't drink-- she had to set a good example. Comfortable couches settled against the walls, and a music system rest at the far end of the room, complete with amplifiers and a wall plasma TV set. To the right, a room-length balcony door with sliding doors that overlooked her garden and the city beyond, the sight of the other section of her ground floor balcony room visible.
There were some things she was really grateful for with magic, the space around them for one, and some things, like the views... to the City.
Not to mention the friends she got to meet, who she wouldn't have been able to normally...
Her guitars sat in a protective display case, and her piano sat to the other side of the bar-- complete with its own raised floor. There was a keyboard near the music system, but the piano was for Vivio's practice and use-- and as her gaze lingered on it, she wondered about her little girl. It had been so many days, and... only recently had she been able to speak with her like normal... even if she couldn't see her in person, or hold her.
'Too much happening' felt like an understatement, alright.
Turning back to Seiya before she could get too distracted, she gave the younger man a small smile, and walked up next to him.
"What do you think?" she asked, lifting the acoustic-electric and setting it to a side stand, so Seiya could grab it when he was ready, and she pointed out the other guitars too, so he could have his pick of type. "Like I said, use any of them. I'd recommend Pearlet, the Strat though. I think she'd be good with your sound." She winked-- yes, she'd named her guitar, and personified her. Why not? Instruments were just as much friends for being able to create such lovely sounds! And then she realized she was rambling, which caused her to blush and she quickly clammed up.
She really hadn't broken out of the habit of monitoring how much she said-- it was a leftover of when she was disallowed to speak until spoken to, and she hoped her action didn't look too awkward.
As she turned back to Seiya, she looked up at him with a hint of a shy smile, lowering her gaze for a moment and brushing her hair back absently.
"The stage is yours... whenever you're ready." She added then, raising her gaze back up and giving him a small smile. It was Seiya's turn to be in the spotlight for her-- and she would take joy in that, just for tonight.
[ooc; Definitely! ♥ Also I maaaaaay have a bit of a tiny tiny plot if you would like to get involved, where we could use the help of Star Fighter to retrieve Megumi's lost little girl Vivio x) If you're interested, of course! And I can't wait to chat! :3 ]
1/2 O_o!
She named her instruments? Seiya felt closely bonded to his guitar, both the one he'd had back in Tokyo and the one he'd bought here in the City, but... he'd never named them anything. It was just a guitar anyways - all it needed was the fame he could provide it with by being a star.
Still... it was kind of cute. Megumi's slight blush only emphasised that.
"Pearlet?" he teasingly asked, smirking at Megumi, his features softening slightly at the way she avoided his eyes and looked down. The stage was his, she'd said... Yeah, Seiya would make the stage his. Tonight would only be the beginning - and it was a perfect place to start. As he hesitated for a moment, not really considering which of her guitars to use (it could only be the Strat, no doubt about it, it was cool enough to fit him perfectly), he suddenly wished that his Princess could meet Megumi. She would have liked her.
Seiya mentally shook his head at himself. Tch, even Yaten would probably like Megumi and Yaten wasn't sociable by nature.
"Yosh," he said, smiling as he walked over to grab the Strat, "Pearlet will do." Heading for the music system rest, he gave Megumi a quick look over his shoulder, his smile turning into a grin. "You know how pretty guitars and pretty girls are almost as important when playing good music as a cool singer, right?" In front of his inner eye, a hazy image of Odango dancing, laughing, eating
too much... simply being Odango... sparkled. His hold on the guitar tightened for a second, so hard that his knuckles went white. What was he doing here? He'd promised to protect her... to protect her shine, her smile, her...
But he had to do this. This; sing and call... for his Princess. If he found his Princess, Sailor Moon would maybe be safe and that was all Star Fighter could hope for right now.
Seiya closed his eyes for a moment when he reached the small space in front of the music system rest, then he quickly plugged the Strat to an amplifier and adjusted the volume of the speakers. He wanted to shine, but not to bring the house down. It was just for Megumi. Seiya wasn't good at "quiet", but at least this wasn't concert volume.
It would do.
2/2
Not much adjusting needed to be done and tuning the guitar only took a couple of moments until he could finally look up and give Megumi a wry smile.
Showtime.
He hit the first notes easily, the melody already feeling familiar to him. Closing his eyes and straightening up fully, he opened his mouth to let the first words mingle.
This song would carry his love, already as he sang the first words, he felt it. It was strong and almost tangible.
Chasin' after you,
Pursuing that fragrance of you.
No one will steal it;
that fragrant star... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4za8XDRx2ak)
No matter where she was, his Princess... she would hear.

She stood back when Seiya took the stage, moving her hands before her as he began to play the first few notes. And when he started to sing, she definitely found herself enjoying the tune-- it was upbeat, strong, it would most certainly make for a smashing song.
However, as the song continued, she found herself paying attention to the lyrics-- her fingers twitched, as though aching to hold a pick and join him, but she held back. And she couldn't place what it was, but there was something breathtaking and sad-- she'd felt the same sort of passion in his private concert, even though he'd seemed to be having so much fun when performing.
Was Seiya looking for someone as well?
As the song went on, Megumi's gaze softened. It was upbeat, fun-- and yet it was almost as though Seiya was aching to have his voice heard. To someone he wasn't even sure would hear it.
It made her heart ache in response, and once the song's ending notes played, and Seiya took his bows, she found herself stilled in the overwhelming emotion that the song had brought to them. Her hand was pressed to her chest, and she could feel her own heartbeat that was filled with longing for her beloved strengthen and hurt and hope.
She never realized how wet her eyes had gotten.
As the boy moved her guitar off him and set it aside, she found herself moving almost instinctively-- there had been magic in his music, something that wasn't the earthly, passionate music of talent like her friend Klavier and his friend Daryan played. They were men of this world, but Seiya's song was like the song of the stars.
And it hadn't even been complete. She could only imagine how it would be when done.
Her hand moved, reaching out to cup Seiya's cheek, her blue eyes filled with warmth when she finally found the breath to talk.
"I'm sure you'll find who you are looking for, with a call like that..." She found herself saying without realizing it. It took her a moment to come to, but she blinked, and let out a soft chuckle, trying to hold back those tears glazing her eyes.
"...that was amazing."

And when the song ended, his search was still not over. That was what made him perform to his fullest potential each and every time. Because each and every time he was given a stage, it was an opportunity.
To find her. Princess.
Seiya took his bows instinctively. He'd been a performer for so long that it was as natural to him as breathing - every movement on stage a carefully studied and memorized one. However, as he walked over to dispose of the guitar - just as cool and perfect for his image and sound as Megumi had promised and he himself had thought - and turned back to Megumi, she was so close that the tears in her eyes caught the light and made him hesitate for a moment.
"Oi..." he began, but then Megumi's hand was against his cheek and when she spoke, he felt his eyes widen. She'd really heard. She'd heard and understood his call.
It wasn't often Seiya didn't have a response ready, but at her intimacy, her closeness, he couldn't make himself answer with more than a soft smile and a murmured: "Megumi-san..."
His Princess would have liked Megumi. Odango would have liked Megumi.
Allowing the tense, but soft moment to survive for a second extra, Seiya finally shook himself out of it, his soft smile changing into a cocky smirk. He wanted her to smile again; he'd proved his point and his burn had been perfect. That was all he needed to know for now.
"Na na na, Megumi-san..." He leaned in to dry off a tear with his index finger, petting her cheek only slightly patronizingly without any ill meaning, "don't cry. It's a upbeat song, not a ballad. Don't make me question my success at capturing the genre, yeah?" Stepping back and turning around, he stretched his arms over his head, heading for the doorway.
"I'm huuuuungry," he moaned theatrically, giving Megumi a look over his shoulder. She looked so frail, left behind like that.
"Megumi-san," he called softly, turning around and smiling at her. "I know how you feel, so... thank you."
He meant it. Nobody should wait like he and the other Starlights had waited and if they did, they should be filled with the same hope he was.

Her gaze softened as she looked over at Seiya, once he'd assured her and then made his little cocky display, she moved her hands in front of her and joined them together as she walked towards him once he stepped out toward the door.
"Right, right. Are all you growing boys this loud about their hunger?" She teased lightly, as she stopped at the outlets to turn the power off, however, when he called to her with a gentle voice, her expression became one of surprise... before settling into a quietly grateful one. A smile remained on her lips, and she chuckled softly.
"There's nothing to thank me for." Was her only reply. She was going to wait for Axl forever if she had to, but she wouldn't forget to live for herself as well. Then, as she approached him, she brushed her fingers over his arm and urged him to move ahead. The food must have readied itself, and gone on out to arrange itself in the appropriate dishes on the table, making a nice presentation.
Axl had always been a ravenous eater, hadn't he...? She smiled quietly at the memory, absently brushing her fingers over the pendant around her throat.
For him as well.
"Come on. Let's fill that stomach of yours!"
She looked over her shoulder with a light smile, and waited for him to catch up as she extended a hand to him to take his.
Tonight would be fun... and she planned to have Seiya enjoy himself too. She'd heard his song, and she would be there to help him when he needed her.
She'd make sure of it, for her friend who had the same desire as her.
