Log; Ongoing
When; Monday afternoon, 9/22
Rating; PG
Characters; Kara
punchlikeagirl and Zack Fair
plz_2_b_an_hero
Summary; Kara and Zack meet for lunch.
Log; Kara waited somewhat impatiently at a little table outside Cafe Juliet. Not that Zack was late (because watches could be 5 minutes or so off, right?) but because she was kind of excited about this. Zack seemed like a nice guy. Okay, he seemed like a really nice guy. The odds were that nothing serious would probably come of today but it never hurt to make new friends, right?
She had opted for her usual outfit of jeans and a cute shirt, forgoing her costume for something more casual. Plus she had to wash the costume from the curse yesterday. Sir Integral probably took good care of it but still, someone else had been wearing it all day.
So, she was on the lookout for someone resembling the cute guy she had seen on the network so she could wave him over.

"And no pressure, you don't have to share anything you don't want to."

"Ninjas to storm a fortress, pirates to raid a ship or run a blockade," she said.

"Do I want to down the whole airship or is it a rescue mission? Is it important that the airship stay in tact?"
no subject
"Retrieval of delicate cargo. The airship is heavily guarded, and you can only have a team of four, including yourself."
no subject
"Delicate cargo? How heavily guarded and with what type of fire power?" she asked. Batman would have more information, that was for sure.
no subject
"Let's say... really powerful materia. Comet, maybe, or a summon. Typical guards, so SMGs and maybe grenades? We'll cut out the magic."
Just as he was finishing writing out the scenario in his head, however, something occurred to him. "...Unless there aren't things like that in your world, which means you probably didn't understand any of what I just said."
no subject
"I'd take four pirates," Kara finally said. "We're going to assume they're from another airship I supposed? Before we attacked I would have used my X-ray vision to locate the package. Then, when the pirates were attacking I would use my super speed to sneak in and grab it. Then I'd set something on fire with my heat vision so that my pirates would have time to get away and I'd fly off with the package."

"Remind me to never try and hide something from you."
no subject
"I'd just give you my best puppy dog eyes expression," she said, giving him exactly that look, her baby blues looking at him through long lashes. Reaching up she ran her fingers through his hair again.
"And I say, 'Pllleeeaaasssseeee Zack, will you give it to me?'"
no subject
Oh right. Of course. Kara was good. Really, really, good.
"A-a-assuming that when you gave me that look I didn't forget right on the spot what you were asking for. Or, uh. Maybe. Maybe that's the point. Right?"
The total irony of the situation was that, at just that moment, he realized that he had forgotten what they were talking about.

"There!" Kara glanced at the picture and nodded in approval before showing it to him. "Isn't it perfect? Oooh, look, our food!"
no subject
He turned, mid-statement, realizing that the woman bringing their order was trying to hide her amusement at them - or, more likely, just his fussing. "Ah, right! Uh, thanks..."
no subject
"Mmm, this looks delicious," Kara said. "I didn't realize how starving I was."
no subject
"What, no breakfast? It's important to eat first thing in the morning, you know." Not that he was much better. But did it really count, if he'd just woken up...
no subject
"But I'm an active girl, I burn a lot of calories."
no subject
Well, he had warned her.
no subject
"Zack! I have super speed and I don't think I could eat that fast!"
no subject
no subject
"And your hands and mouth are completely innocent?"
no subject
"Hey, you should know by now that all of me is innocent in any given situation!"
no subject
"You should at least be a little guilty, that makes you more interesting."
