Ongoing Log

When; Sep 27th
Rating; PG-13 probably? maybe?
Characters; Kaioh Michiru [Unknown site tag] & Kou Seiya
Summary; Michiru's run away from home....
Log; She hadn't packed very much before setting out. A few simple changes of clothes, a handful of cosmetics that she hand't really looked at when she grabbed them, as well as the essentials, shampoo, toothbrush/paste, etc.  It all fit into one fairly small bag, stuffed together without ceremony or care.

She had stopped once on the way out to look into Hotaru's room. Then left.

Moving quickly, she strolled the streets somewhat aimlessly. She was walking in the general direction of her studio, but her focus was mostly on avoiding running into Haruka, and getting away quickly so she wouldn't be there when her partner returned. She just didn't want to hurt her anymore.

Murmuring these thoughts under her breath (which was the best she could do to hush the effects of the curse) she continued on, hoping she wouldn't be spotted be either of the people involved in this.

Seiya hadn't imagined Michiru could ever be this upset. He'd seen her be a flirt, he'd seen her be protective and he'd seen her be a professional musician - but none of those faces had really prepared him for this. A Michiru who was falling apart.

Once again, strolling down the street, he cursed Haruka for being an idiot. Couldn't she tell that she was in the middle of letting a really good thing go? Anybody could tell that Michiru valued Haruka over anything. The tall blonde couldn't possibly be so blind...

With a snort, Seiya smirked. Well, maybe she could. He wouldn't put it past her.

Breaking out of the thought when he spotted a glimpse of aquamarine hair, Seiya stopped dead, his eyes widening.

Michiru. But... Where was she going?

"OI!" he yelled, breaking into a run, trying not to lose the violinist of sight, "Michiru-san! MATTE YO!"

you know, hiatus and all, but couldn't help myself

Seiya wasn't a cold person. He was easy-going and prone to childish games, but cold, he wasn't. And only a cold person would be unable to tell that Michiru would rather not talk right now. Still, sometimes what someone wanted and what they needed weren't the same thing and had it been him - actually, it had been him, once (he didn't want to think about it, about Odango's insistent hold on his heart when he was supposed to... ...) - he could use a shoulder to lean on.

Michiru was a strong woman, but no one (Odango's sad eyes as she remembered her boyfriend were still vivid in his mind)... No, no one should go through this alone.

"Michiru-san..." He paused, not quite knowing what to say. It suddenly hit him that he knew very little of the kind of relationship Michiru and Haruka had. How could he say anything that would make her feel better? After all, he wouldn't mind if Haruka had to suffer a few days in hell - she had it coming for her anyway, with the way she treated him Odango Michiru. He could only go about this by not trying to do what Haruka would have done. He needed to solve this his own way.

"Na na na," he said teasingly, plastering a soft smile on his face, even though his eyes were worried, "you're a damsel in distress and I'm a knight in shining armour, yeah?" Another pause. He didn't laugh at his own joke when he saw the pained expression in Michiru's eyes. Sighing, he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Come on, Michiru-san," he continued softly, catching her gaze and holding it, "let me help you."

Odango wouldn't forgive me if I didn't. He didn't voice the sentence, but it burned on his tongue anyway. . Why was it that this situation kept reminding him of her? It wasn't that much alike, was it? He... he hadn't...

An evil voice whispered in his mind: But you would have, had you been given the chance.

Frowning, he looked up. It didn't matter. Odango wasn't here, but Michiru was. He would do what he could...

Bidding Rome farewell and making ready to go home, oh Poly, you were greatly missed!

Smirking at Michiru's comment, Seiya shrugged nonchalantly, pushing his ponytail over his shoulder and doing his best to look very serious, even though the memory of Utena's and his little basketball game made him feel all giddy and excited. Finally someone who gave him some competition to play up against... and who didn't make his hairs stand on end, like Haruka. "Utena-chan came over some days ago... she's funny." Meeting Michiru's eyes he winked to show her the next few words were only meant as a joke. "You should've stuck with her, Michiru-san."

However, as Michiru looked away and told him it was her fault, his teasing stopped immediately, his eyes narrowing. If it was Haruka that had made her think like that, he'd have to speak to her - in pretty harsh terms. No one should blame this on the person who was obviously feeling worst about the entire thing.

"You know, Michiru-san," he said, his voice deepening to a warm murmur as he stepped closer to take her bag in a rather eloquent gesture, "these kinds of things, they happen. And it's no one's fault, really. They just do and you'll have to take it from there, yeah?" They were standing close, but not overly so. He looked down at her, every trace of his normal good humour gone.

Stupid Haruka. Stupid, stupid Haruka. Didn't she know that sometimes, unintentionally, feelings like these... overpowered you and... even though you struggled and did you best to stay loyal to your original purpose... there was nothing you could do, but let yourself be swept away.

Frowning for a moment, he looked away, raising his eyes to the sky.

"Yeah, we'll give her time... and while we do it, you can stay at my place - I'm sure Youko won't mind." Seiya forced himself to snap out of it, turning his attention back to Michiru and what she'd been saying - probably because of the curse. She had never been this open around him before and most likely she would go back to her mysterious, secretive self once the curse was over.

"Oi, Michiru-san," he added as if on an afterthought though it was actually a thought he'd had more than once since ending up in the City in so close contact with Uranus and Neptune. "How did you meet Haruka-san anyway?"

He'd better talk her through this now, while he had the chance.

He was curious, anyway.

As Michiru began talking, Seiya started walking towards his apartment, not sparing her objection to staying with him any attention. Looking at her over his shoulder, he stopped shortly, waiting for her to catch up with him as the words spilled from her lips.

She really was cursed, huh?

He didn't interrupt her while she talked, but waited until she'd come to the end of the story. Feeling suddenly closer bonded with her, he frowned, finding it hard to imagine that Michiru had ever been a young school girl who was anybody's fan, least of all Haruka's. But he could understand those feelings... hadn't it been a sense of fascination, a sense of admiration, that had originally drawn him to Odango as well?

Except, Michiru had been lucky - her love wasn't a one-sided one.

For a second, he allowed himself the bitterness, looking away from Michiru, not really seeing the streets in front of him. He could forgive Odango anything and everything, but that cold boyfriend of hers that had just abandoned her to go abroad. Such a cold guy...

As cold as Haruka had to be to run out on Michiru now.

"I see," he finally spoke when the full stop grew so long that it became a painful silence. Smirking, he threw the bag over one shoulder carelessly, giving Michiru a look out the corner of his eye, "Haruka-san was stupid not to let herself get persuaded by you right away, Michiru-san. She's probably miserable on her own..."

As soon as the words had left his lips, he realised how much such a statement must hurt for her to hear. Quickly closing his mouth, then opening it again, but finding nothing to say, he sighed.

"Michiru-san," he added, quietly... gently, "I'm not the kind of guy who'll let you be all alone now. I've got an image to uphold, you know." He smirked, falling back in his default superstar arrogance, though his eyes held their gentleness.

"Don't object. I'll even clean out my room for you."

Stopping dead for a moment at her words, Seiya's eyes widened at the implications, feeling a blush burn in his cheeks.

Opening his mouth a couple of times, fruitlessly, he finally got a hold of himself and managed a still somewhat embarrassed smirk.

"Na na na... I'm a cool idol. People should get used to pretty girls staying in my room," he pursed his lips and winked at her, "it's part of my image, yeah?"
