It's big, it's heavy, it's wood~
When; Today; ongoing.
Rating; Suitable for General audiences!
Characters; Seth Nightroad and Lilith Sahl
Summary; The littlest Crusnik meets back up with her surrogate mother/sister-type figure after 900 years of being apart. (Thar be spoilers here for the Trinity Blood series, surely? Read at your own risk!)
Log;
Tick, tick, tick-
Falling down, spinning, disorientation not unlike an overdose of spiked eggnog, the feeling was the same every time Seth Nightroad closed her eyes. A voice calling out through the tick-tock and grinding gears of a carousel too beautiful to be of this world- or any other. A dream the small Crusnik wasn't sure she wanted to wake up from out of necessity, a curiosity, a desire not unlike lust. Like fine wine sipped from a sugar cone, with sprinkles and cherries and whipped cream on top, it was the perfect comfort food.
Seth hated to see what this place would do to someone like her brother. Singular. Thinking about what Cain might do made her stomach fall out.
Something greater, stronger, beyond all humans and vampires and Crusniks and maybe even God was at the controls here. Seth was not naive. She was not startled when, even after nine-hundred plus years, the world could still surprise her.
And surprise her it did, when the familiar scent - feel - presence - of someone she never thought she'd ever see again made her appearance in the square. Now that the woman known as Lilith Sahl was not but six feet from her, in her entirety, solid and breathing, Seth was sure this was beyond something she'd encountered in dreamscape, for even in her dreams Lilith was never so beautiful.
A world of possibilities, maybe?
Whatever the case may be, Seth was overjoyed and made record time closing the distance between them, burying her face in Lilith's robes and cheering - weeping - for joy.
"Lilith! Oh, Lilith! I've missed you so much!"

The tiny Crusnik took the hem of Lilith's dress into her tiny fist, holding it tight. As if, if she let go, everything would unwind, and each and every thing Seth worked so hard to achieve between the empires would crumble depending on what Lilith had to say next.
"I didn't want to get into it too much- you must be exhausted, with all that you've had to endure!" A pause, followed by a smile, "The truth is, I'm an empress. Of a kingdom of Methuselah, vampires..."
Seth smiled weakly, then.
"But I fear I haven't looked out for Abel-nii-san much. It's only just recently that we've been reunited, and I've started talking to him again. I feel I've been a bad sister, Lilith."
Such insecurities were unbecoming, but around Lilith, the dam broke and there wasn't any stopping them. "He still feels bad..."

Amber colored eyes widened even further at what Seth had to say. That was certainly not what she expected to hear. Her children must have been... her subjects. "An empress? My, Seth, you really have been busy, haven't you?" she breathed, astonished and extremely impressed at the same time.
With a soft sigh, Lilith pulled Seth to her in another warm hug, rubbing her back soothingly. "The three of us all seem to be blaming ourselves, my dear, for things we should not be," she murmured. "Abel told me he blames himself for my death, even 900 years after," she continued.

The small empress and tea seller pulled away from Lilith, eyes wide and glassy as they focused on pavement and nothing else. Hands clasped behind her back, she kicked at an imaginary rock. "Brothers... they're so troublesome! Don't you think so, Lilith? I should have had sisters!"
An attempt at humor, however feeble, for Seth was never one to dwell for centuries at a time on things that her youngest older brother did, let alone the fifteen minutes since they'd run into each other again.

"They are rather troublesome, aren't they?" she smiled reassuringly, and gently put two fingers under Seth's chin, lifting it to look at her in the eye. "But you still love them, hmm? At least... Abel," Lilith frowned lightly now. She wasn't sure if she should tell Seth that she should love Cain.
"However, from what little I have learned, you two have followed in my footsteps wonderfully. Abel is different now. Gentler. And you are the leader of all of the Methuselah," she smiled proudly.

The smile that found Seth's lips would be with her for days to follow. She pounced Lilith again in a fit of giggles. "I love you, Lilith! And I love Abel-nii-san, too!"

"I love you, too, Seth," she squeezed her hands gently again. "And Abel, of course. Has he been well?" she asked curiously. Seth had to know something, even if she had mentioned that she had only recently been back in contact with her older brother.
