Log; Ongoing
When; Yesterday evening! [10/26]
Rating; Probably PG-13 for cursing.
Characters; Reeve
urbandev and Reno
elevatorwarrior
Summary; Reeve tells Reno to stop moping. Reno does not think highly of Reeve's suggestion.
Log;
Birds trilled overhead as the last rays of light filtered through the leaves overhead. The great outdoors was never Reeve's favorite place to be, in any of its incarnations. He didn't think it was a favorite of the TURK's, either. Not that it mattered much, he just wanted to find his wayward comrade, drag him home, douse him in a very cold shower and then go sleep so he could show up in the morning and mock the other man's hangover. Reeve was a simple man, and he enjoyed his simple, schadenfreudeistic pleasures.
As he walked, he poured over their previous conversation in his head. He trudged deeper into the forest with some trepidation. He couldn't be killed more dead, could he?"

When he told Cissnei he needed to think, he'd been lying of course, but since decided that'd be a pretty good idea... and Reeve... Why'd the guy have to constantly rain on his parade, anyway? So there he was, sitting on a rock and just staring out into the forest, not doing much until he thought he heard some movement up the path.
Couldn't be, right? He'd told Reeve he'd kick his ass, right? He didn't think Reeve would have the guts enough to actually come out here.

He sighed, finding the TURK sulking on his stone. Maudlin was almost worse than drunk. "A man could catch his death out here." Only Reeve could summon that level of irony without even changing his inflection.

"I thought I told ya if you showed up, I'd kick your ass. You're begging for it, aren't you?" There was no mistaking that tone; the calm, low one with just an edge of dangerous to it. Reno's serious voice.

Maybe a little, but not that stupid.

"...I'm tired of staying strong." He finally mumbled under his breath, barely audible. "I'm not going back."

"And Cissnei will really appreciate it if you hide out here and freeze half to death." He shook his head. "I'm not going to make you go back to her, Reno, but you don't get to sulk out here all night either." And so saying, he hooked his elbows under Reno's arms and hauled the man up to his feet.
And ohgodhisback which he would ALSO be addressing with the TURK tomorrow.

"I told you..."
A small half step later, Reno stomped hard on Reeve's foot, bringing an elbow up under his chin at the same time. A fist flew towards the commissioner's eye right after, typical of the speed Reno was capable of.
"I'd kick your ass!"

"Got that out of your system?"

With as much dignity as he could muster, Reeve rose to his feet, brushing dirt off of his pants. "The first time I deserved it," he admitted. "But that was completely uncalled for, Reno." And so saying, he brought his arm back and delivered a punch to the underside of the other man's jaw. Maybe with not as much force as Reno'd delivered his, but it got the point across, he thought.

There was just a split second warning as Reno moved forward, twisting around in a roundhouse kick aiming for Reeve's side. He was dead, right? Can't kill a dead person... much.

Hey, he'd had three years of sparring practice at the hands of Yuffie and Vincent, he'd picked up a little.
He took his temporary moments of advantage to drag Reno back towards the city, where he could hit him over the head with a crow bar and leave him for dead in a dark alley. Or at least on his couch.

Something struck him as funny, and he paused, looking down at the ineffectual fists Reeve was pounding him with, and smirked. It was an odd look considering he had his arm back as if to punch Reeve again...
"Reeve, you hit like a girl."

"You know..." he said between breaths, "I'm starting to see why Yuffie liked ya so much."

So he didn't exactly say what that meant, but it could have only meant a few potentially embarrassing or unhealthy things.
"Otherwise you go back and quit bugging me."

There was no indication that Reno was joking, he was using that serious voice.

Points one and two were frankly ridiculous, so he chose to ignore them.

"Terrorizing is what I do best, Reeve."
