A respectable corporate job. [log - ongoing]
When; Thurs. 11/13, noonish.
Rating; TBA, likely not going to go past PG13
Characters; Lin (
pastdedication) & Tony Stark (
morethanasuit)
Summary; Lin wants to be part of City Solution's security team.
Log; Fortunately, Lin's entire wardrobe consists of interview clothes. In fact, the only variance in his wardrobe from his day-to-day was not visible underneath his dark gray trenchcoat, and that was he didn't wear his piece today. He didn't know what kind of security checks he'd have to get through for the interview, and he figured coming armed would not send a correct impression.
So even though he's in a suit and tie, which he wears pretty well in that way that definitely indicates somehow that it's all he wars, he feels naked. And as a dead guy he hasn't much to fear, even if Stark had some reason to attack or otherwise harm him, which he doesn't. Not that people always need a reason...
Anyway, he's not totally comfortable, standing in a hospital-clean looking lobby, realizing he has no idea where to put himself and silently worrying he'll be late when in fact he is 7 minutes early.
Punctuality is important to him.

Walking into the lobby of the building precisely on time he spotted the man who must be Lin, his next interviewee. The man wore a suit, which was nice. It also looked like he wasn't just wearing it for the interview, which was even better. Tony Stark appreciated a good suit.
"Lin, I presume?" he asked, holding out his hand and giving the man a friendly smile. "I'm Tony Stark."

After all, he already knew he'd be perfect for this job. He wasn't being asked to host a ball or teach children how to finger paint. As long as he was pleasant, it probably wouldn't be a problem.
Like being punctual, having good manners was also incredibly important to Lin.
He followed Stark to the interview space, still taking in the features of the building. It reminded him of home, just a little, and he appreciated that.

Tony wasn't sure if Lin was interested or not, but Tony was proud of what he was doing and liked to talk about it.
"The security systems are both state of the art and arcane," he continued. "Combining magic and technology. But I'm a firm believer in technology and people working together."

"Aside from the curses, I have to admit I have no real experience with magic. There's nothing like that in my world. But I'm willing to learn at any capacity I'm able to."

"As far as magic goes, I plan to hire people specifically for that purpose," he explained. "If you're interested in learning about it I'm more than happy to find someone to help with that. This is a place of learning and collaboration for everyone."

He could be something beside his job. In the world outside the Syndicate, humanity and personality were actually considered assets to be valued in an individual worker. Or so he'd read.
