When; Saturday November 22
Rating; PG-13-ish
Characters; Thelma Bates
deadlesbian and Dawn Summers
tothelibrary
Summary; It's like Katy Perry only not insulting! Or, it's a nice night for questioning one's sexuality. In which there is dinner, and dancing.
Log;
Dawn smooths down her dress and takes another sip of her water, glancing nervously at the clock on her cell. So what if Thelma still has five minutes until she's even on time? It's still nervous time.
A quick glance down at her feet shows newly manicured red toes peeking out from the new shoes Tosh bought her. Okay, so even if she passes out, she'll look amazing doing it. Check and check.
Another sip of water. Please let this go well. Please, please, please.

"I was about to say I'd not been dancing in forever, but I just remembered about Halloween."

Dawn's on alert as they walk up to the club's entrance-- it's the Underground, and she's happy, not stupid-- but it's not showing much.

"Yeah, well. You should still worry a good amount. Because you have people who would rather you stick around." Before she can think twice about it, Dawn leans in to press a kiss to Thelma's cheek-- thank God she wore that stain stuff and all the gloss wore off at dinner-- then, drunk and giddy on her own daring, tugs Thelma ahead, towards the door. "Come on! Let's go dance."

"And I'll keep that whole safety tip in mind!"

"Boogie I can manage. I've got a lot of moves in this body of mine."

"Good, because I am so entirely ready to dance." Dawn drags Thelma to the dance floor; do not pass go, do not set anything down or grab a drink. It's dancing time.

...Okay, the part where her gaze keeps drifting down to Thelma's mouth and she really really wonders what would happen if Dawn just leaned in and kissed her is admittedly a little newer.

She let Dawn take the lead here, but did make sure to kiss back just as good as Dawn gave.

Dawn's deepens the kiss just a little, then pulls away, lips wet and grin fixed on her face. "I'll buy you the toaster oven tomorrow," she yells, laughing. Hopefully that's a reference in Thelma's world, too, or Dawn will have explain it, and witty revelations aren't as witty when they have to be explained.
