Log;
Eyes wide, Mikuru was out of breath as she gasped for air, sitting within what she thought was supposed to be the opera house within the city. It might have been an invasion of privacy or trespassing under normal circumstances, but that was honestly the last thing on her mind right now. Terrified out of her mind she sat in a corner of the kitchen, her head covered as she tried to stay calm over a situation that had her anything but.
What ARE those things!?
She couldn’t help but shudder, tears sprinkling her eyes in fear. Monsters. Large gigantic monsters were destroying the city and she was the only one there. Aahhhh~~ This was all because of yesterday, she just knew it. She was sent into city hell or something. The only thing she knew for certain was this had to do with Haruhi Suzumiya, and it was taking every ounce of her courage not to pass out on the spot.
“Uuu…uu..” It was all a misunderstanding. The curse had forced her into doing something unthinkable. The worst thing imaginable! She'd kissed Kyon, and Haruhi had found out. This is the worst~~ She knew above so many others just how disastrous something like that could be, and now she was facing the consequences. Only, despite the fact that she had kissed him…it had been entirely against her will. I-I don’t know what I am supposed to do. This reminded her of the time she’d been drawn into another strange world here within the city, and forced to fight strange creatures due to the insanity of a man who had claimed to be taking out the garage. This though, she was certain had to be a byproduct of the person she’d been sent back in time to watch. Additionally, this time she was so very alone. Scrubbing at her eyes, she stood up. I…I want to go back. I’m sorry… Were those things going to simply kill her now? Suzumiya had never been the type to actually wish pain onto someone else, but…
“WAHHHHH. I-I DON’T WANT TO BE HERE-!! K-Kyon-kun…Koizumi-san, anyone-!”
Pushing back up, she looked a wreck. There needed to be somebody she could find to communicate with. Glancing about her, she looked for signs of life. The lights had been out when she’d first come in here and they had turned on when she’d flicked the switch. She’d learned that appliances and things still worked as well. Would changes she made here make a difference back in the real world as well?
Slowly moving upstairs, she nervously entered the first bedroom after a barely audible knock. Room dark, she felt around for a light switch. Finding it with her fingers, she flipped it on so that she could see once again. Her hope that maybe something would be different in this one however faded automatically. Empty again. There really was no one else in this world. Maybe though she could search for something that would help her get in contact with the real world…

Why were there just random lines floating in midair. For no good reason, at that. He squinted but they still hung there. Instead of grabbing his glasses, he took his knife and slid out of the bed.
"....hello?"

"H-Hello..." Both hands raised in front of her defensively, she still couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. There had definitely been a noise though. "Um...is someone in here then?" This was creepy. It felt like she was being watched, like a ghost was examining her and yet she couldn't pin-point it in return.
"Wahhh~~" Heart pounding she thought she was going to have a heart-attack. Maybe the cathedral would have been a safer place to hide and try and get in touch with someone. She hadn't been thinking much beyond hiding from those creatures, though.

Shivering in revulsion, he worked up the nerve to try to touch it with his finger. Not daring to scare the vicious creature, he called out to it.
"Hey! I'm going to touch you so don't freak out."
After announcing his intentions, he slowly reached forward.

It abruptly hit her. The feeling slide through her as though something had suddenly swept through and beneath her skin. A tingling sensation crept across her like a portion of her body was floating or had fallen asleep. This was enough to turn her face two shades too white, except that it's location was the most unsettling thing of all. Eyes widening in horror she gasped in surprise before she screamed as something strange swam in and out of her chest.
Reeling, she jerked backwards, tears springing to life in her eyes anew. "P-PLEASE DON'T-! Nooo!" Through the water filling her vision she realized for the first time that she could actually see the vaguest outline of a person, taller than herself. Fleeing to the other side of the room she grabbed the closest thing to her...an umbrella that was leaning against the wall. Opening it up to it's fullest extent she knelt down on the other side of her new security item. "D-DON'T DO ANYTHING TO ME~!"

And waited a little longer.
"Forget it, I'm going back to bed."
Shiki picked up a paper back book from his desk and lobbed it over the umbrella before sitting down on his bed. He sat there and watched closely, his glasses still off his face.

She stayed beneath her--well, whoever's umbrella it was for a good couple minutes. I-It touched me~~! Face bright red despite her horror she felt incredibly violated. Even outside of the brigade-!
After the book however, nothing else happened. A little uncertain, she slowly, very timidly lowered the umbrella to peek out one of the sides. The outline was still there, but right now...he, she thought it was a man, was sitting on the bed. That meant that he didn't mean her harm, right? She shuddered again as she recalled the feeling of having been touched, but...
Next to the desk, she again, very slowly, rose just enough to see if she could find anything that might be of use to her in a situation like now. Almost immediately she saw a pen along with some paper. Hand creeping up the side of the desk, she slid both items down to her and back onto the other side of the umbrella.
If I can write a note...would he be able to receive it?
It was such a complex situation, but she didn't even know if he'd clearly be able to see it. Nonetheless, she wrote the quickest most to the point thing she could. If he could read it, they could continue to try and communicate from there. He is human, right...? Glancing back toward the bed, she slipped the note out closer to him, the umbrella lowering slowly. It was short and to the point. In her eloquent, feminine writing was one word.
'Help'

Was it something from another dimension? No, couldn't be. Still, he was curious as to knowing. He grabbed his glasses and put them on. Taking a pen into his hands, he took the paper and wrote down a reply.
'Who the hell are you and what are you doing in my room? I was trying to sleep, you know.'
Yes, he was heartless but once he got his answer, he'd give her the help she needed. He slid the note back across the floor.

"I'm sorry... My name is Mikuru Asahina. Since I woke up I have been invisible. Or rather I haven't been able to find anyone else. You are the first. I entered this building in order to hide from the creatures outside."

Wait, Mikuru. That was the person Kyon was looking for. This must have been a result of that one brat's perception altering powers. Shiki started writing.
'I heard about you from Kyon. I don't know a thing about these monsters but I can't keep my glasses off forever. If you stay here, I guess I can protect you but you have to let me know if you see anything because I can barely see you as it is. I'll see about finding a way to make you...corporeal.'

"I'll do whatever's needed, but...they're destroying the city! I don't think anyone else has the ability to see them though."
no subject
'Nope. No death and destruction. I'm serious, just relax. Nothing is going to hurt you. I probably have some kind of anti-monster aura. If you get hungry, let me know.'

'I'll try...thank you. Kyon...might understand part of the reason I've disappeared. What's your name?'

Suddenly tiredness hit him again. He was always so lazy that it drug him down at times. He walked over to the closet and pulled out a spare blanket. Throwing it onto the floor, he sat down on it. He started writing again.
'If you get tired, you can have the bed. I'll stay down here on the floor. Since I can't see or hear you protesting about how you should have the floor, you're stuck with the bed. Anyways, just take it easy and remember to hit me with something if there's a problem.'
