Log;
Wanda wasn't lying when she said she'd be armed--with her memories restored, she's able to consciously channel her abilities, risk to herself aside, and thus she is constantly armed with her own mind. She's glad she's going with someone weapons-capable this time around (James Bond might not be a magician, but he's definitely able to handle himself--she's not entirely comfortable with her choices, in retrospect, for bringing Claire Bennet with her last time, despite the girl's bravery and built-in defenses to damage), and does choose to be more tangibly armed, under her jacket.
She doesn't want to have to explain magic and mutants before they're even to the Underground, after all...though with Magneto (her father but very much not him) in town, maybe there should be a more public explanation at some point, depending upon how the local police react to the report. It's something to consider for the future.
After spending a little while wandering around her apartment wishing she'd gotten a pet like she was advised upon initially arriving, she chooses to leave mostly out of restlessness, closing and locking the door behind herself. Wanda can wait in the lobby. It'll be quicker when it's time to leave.

Hopefully this won't be one of those times, however, and he arrives at Wanda's building dressed in dark trousers, a close-fitting pullover, and wearing his sidearm in plain view in a shoulder harness. They're not attempting to operate undercover, so he doesn't figure there's any reason to hide the fact that he's armed.
He is a bit surprised to see Wanda waiting in the lobby, but that's fine, it'll mean they can get started quicker. "Shall we?"
[ooc: I fail hard. Will be probably v. v. slow but I WILL TAG I promise. >.<]

"Yes, please." She moves for the door, glancing back over her shoulder.
"Did you have a good New Year's Eve?"
no subject
"Yourself?"
Bond follows her, letting Wanda take point since she's been there before. It gives him the chance to have a look around as they go, establishing landmarks, observing traffic patterns, and of course watching her back. Maybe her ass a little bit too, but mostly her back.

"Oh, yes. Quieter than my Christmas eve, which is what I wanted."
Though she's only been here once before, she knows where she's going. Once she finds an entrance to the Underground (and it's not far), she pauses, mentally assessing the distance from there to where the clock--as compared to their previous distance from the aboveground carousel--might be. It's labyrinthine down here, though, so she knows a lot of extra turns must be taken.
"It gets worse as you get thicker in," she tells Bond, over her shoulder, "though I'm hoping what's down here will be kinder to us than last time I came here. I think it enjoyed trying to frighten me."

Paying close attention with ears as well as eyes, Bond follows, intrigued by the winding passages and wondering what they were originally intended for.
"I don't scare easily," he assures Wanda, although it's doubtful she'd have invited him if she believed he did.

But it doesn't make her pause for long.
"Not a fan of religious holidays?" Wanda inquires, lightly, in the interests of ignoring...whatever that was. She supposes it could be anything.
no subject
"I'm not a particular fan of holidays in most forms," he answers, with a shrug.

"You know, I've heard it suggested that this place feeds off emotion; the power generated by the curses is what powers the City. I assume that's why no one seems to stay longer than a few years at maximum--after a while, they stop reacting as strongly. They get drained."
She thinks Agatha, perhaps, or certainly Dr. Strange would know better than she would. This realm of the supernatural isn't one Wanda is unfamiliar with, however, so she feels entitled to some small amount of speculation.

Gathering information would be more likely, but if the city itself needs to be powered...
"Is there a power plant here?" Maybe a look at this infamous clock will answer some questions.

She notices that the corridors seem to thin out in places, walls pushed in to give them less room, and then expand further in others. It gives them a rather disconcerting appearance, and she swears she can see something ripple in the left-hand wall like it was shaken, but she puts it aside. "I've experienced scenarios like that before," Wanda adds, "using people's energy to power destructive acts. This is far and away one of the most most elaborate set-ups, though."
She's been the power behind one of those destructive forces before, so perhaps she's quicker to jump to the possibility than she ought to be.

He wonders if it might be possible to sabotage whatever 'engine' is at the heart of this scheme. Their trip might prove to be extremely worthwhile, in that case.
[ooc: So sorry for the lag, recent events have made it hard to concentrate. >.<]
