When; Monday, January 5th, 7 PM or so
Rating; Weeeeeeeeeeeee're gonna say R. Just, you know, in case.
Characters; Anita (
browning_baby) and Reeve (
urbandev)
Summary; First date!
Log;
It was almost impossible to believe this was their first date. After all, they'd already slept together and he'd spent -- four? five? of the last seven nights at her apartment.
Still, this was their first official date, and however unconventional they'd been up till now, Reeve was determined that tonight was going to be perfect. Anita meant so much to him -- and that amount was growing rapidly every day -- and no one ever seemed to have taken out the time to appreciate her properly. Which was why he'd gotten them reservations at Pandora and brought flowers for her. Old-fashioned, yes, but classy. The entire evening was Reeve through and through.
He just hoped Anita would enjoy it.

She leaned closer and laid her hand on his, squeezing.
"Everything's fine."

"It's fine. I just wanted to be sure."
"What were you up to all day?" he asked. He'd spent his upstairs at the Lux, pouring over schedules. Terribly exciting.

As she spoke, her thumb stroked along the side of his hand, reveling in the contact.
"Did you do anything interesting?"
no subject
"Scheduling. We're doubling the security staff for the next few weeks, or at least until people forget about this ridiculous beer affair." He smiled a bit, shaking his head. "My suggestion that we literally kick them out after their third beer was unfairly dismissed by Niko."
no subject
"Niko's a businessman. He likes the cashflow. I'm fine on my own when I work, though. I can handle anything a bunch of drunks happen to hand me."

Embarrassed or not, she looked gorgeous with the color in her cheeks. Her complexion was so pale that the color stood out and brought life to her face.
Although it really wasn't helping the doll comparisons.

It's a thinly veiled compliment that has her grinning a bit, trying to turn the tables on him and make HIM blush for the first time tonight.

"I'm only not arguing with you because it would be bad form."

She leaned closer, reaching to touch his cheek.

And with perfect timing, their food arrives, forcing them to break apart.

It was veering into very dangerous territory, now.

"In about thirty seconds, I'm going for that mushroom if you haven't eaten it." There. That should alleviate some of the tension. Besides, what was the point of having dinner with your lover if you couldn't steal off her plate?

Her gaze dared him to try even as her lips curled into a smirk around her fork.

The corner of his mouth quirked up into the smallest grin as he continued eating from his own plate. A few bites later, when she was just bringing her fork to her lips, he darted out to snare the mushroom from the edge of her plate.

She makes a show of spearing another mushroom and settling the fork between her lips.
