Summary; Not much to say here either. Once again, Shiki has offered ownership to Akiha, for two days. This recounts the morning of the first.
Log; Honestly, it was a fluke, placing Hisui in charge of waking Nii-san. So the young Mistress thought as she ~~barged in~~ entered her illustrious brother's room. Surveying her Nii-san's complacent form, a frustrated sigh escaped at the now-familiar sight.

If he's going to offer complete ownership rights, then his first duty is to wake up at the set time. Which she knew was an impossibility with him. The Tohno Head had lost track at the countless attempts Hisui had recounted to her. In that case, time to use the tested fail-safe Tohno technique.

Thump! The sounds reverberated as she kicked the bed. "It's time to wake up, Nii-san."

Looking over the bed, inspecting her ~~servent~~ Nii-san's work, she nodded an approval and spoke her next decree.

"Retrieve the hairbrush on my dresser, and brush my hair."

Saying that, she moved to sit on the edge of the bed.

Sheesh. Micromanage much, Akiha? He retrieved the brush and moved to be behind Akiha. Really, he had no idea what to do here so he pulled back the hair from Akiha's ears and slowly ran the brush through it. He took his time on this drawn out process (long hair) so he wouldn't accidentally tug or pull her hair.

His fingers in her hair, touching her ears--his slow stroking with the brush--the sensation felt...she couldn't describe it. She was quiet as she immersed in the feeling, beginning to relax.

"Hmmm."

The brush kept moving through her hair, straightening what was already straight. He didn't know when to stop and Akiha wasn't looking impatient so he just kept going.

She was in no rush to stop. If it felt this lovely, she would forbid it. Now completely relaxed, she turned to grace him with a grateful smile.

He stopped when she turned around and just looked at her. He thought it slightly odd and out of place but he couldn't resist. He leaned forward and lightly gave her a kiss on the cheek.

A hand on the spot he kissed, her expression turned happier as scarlet once more entered her cheeks.

"My, Nii-san. That was uncalled for. What other wicked things did you plan?"

"You're the one planning things, not me. You knew I wouldn't be able to hold back."

She really was a vile fiend, manipulating his own emotions for her. Or, that's what he'd say out loud to make her mad. Shiki really didn't mind at all. When she wasn't angry, he thought she was pretty adorable though he did wonder if Akiha actually knew that he thought that.

"How low. I only invited you in here because I trusted you to keep control of yourself. But now that you've revealed your true beastly nature, I feel so violated."

Of course, she was teasing, as indicated in her playful tone. Really, most of her teasing was revenge for all the times he drove her crazy with his antics. He was the fiend.

"Beastly? Violated? I'll remember that the next time, you evil mastermind."

Shiki slid off the bed and held out the brush to Akiha.

"Why don't we switch places?"

"Me? A mastermind? Don't think I'm flattered so easily, you wolf."

Oh. Her turn now? Well, servants required proper care occassionally, so she would oblige. She took the brush.

"I don't see the harm in it."

Now he was surprised. He was expecting a rebuttal but if that's what she wanted to do...

Plopping himself back down on the bed, he turned his back towards Akiha. He didn't know how she was going to do this since his hair went all over but he assumed that she would think of something.

Usually, she would have rebuked him, but an opportunity to fix that cowlick haven he called hair? Such an chance had impossible odds of happening again, so of course she'd jump at it.

Though really, she wanted him to feel what she had just felt. Motivated, she gently began to run her brush through his mop, being careful of any (highly-likely) knots.

He'd have a few select words to say to her if he could hear her thoughts. Luckily for the both of them, he couldn't. Oddly enough, the brush going through his head felt comforting, even if he was constantly worrying about Akiha wrenching his head to the side. He almost felt like he could just fall back and lay his head on her lap and sleep again.

Much to her amazement, barely a tangle was about in his filaments. She truly didn't give Nii-san enough credit.

Although, some of these cowlicks were damn stubborn. One in particularly on this side, so she tried smoothing it over with her hand (noting the slight dampness from his shower).

Rather than the brush, he could feel her hand on his head. Not exactly something he hadn't felt before but still odd because she was supposed to be brushing it.

"What are you doing?"

Trying to untie the Gordian knot, apparently.

"I've managed to smooth most of your hair over, but this cheeky little thing is persistent."

At this point, she was alternating between her hand and the brush, with no luck.

Shiki couldn't help it. He was already starting to doze off. He ended up falling back onto Akiha, half asleep. Man, it was way to early.

"Ah, Nii-san."

For a moment, she considered if it was his anemia...until she noticed the tired expression on his face.

Was it too relaxing? She would have asked, if he was even conscious at this point.

Gently, she eased him into a more comfortable position, his head laying on her lap.

It was barely five minutes before he jolted back up, subconsciously realizing that he may have committed a great sin. He jumped up to his feet, holding his arms out in front of him as if warding off something.

"Sorry, Akiha! I stayed up a little too late last night and-!"

He worried for nothing, because she just chuckled at his exaggerated behavior.

"Don't worry. So long as you compensate for it by going to bed early tonight."

She really was lucky, having Nii-san around. If not for him, she wouldn't stand a chance of living a comfortable life in this City.

"I'll try but I don't know if I can promise that."

He said that yet he knew, even though it was still morning, that he could conk out the second he hit his bed. He never even heard of the statement "too much sleep".

"You misunderstand me Nii-san. Promises aren't necessary. Consider it an order."

She swished her hair and beamed at him.

"Now then, I believe next on the list is breakfast."

"Um....right."

Shiki opened the door to her room in preparation to head out to the kitchen.

"What did you want?"

"Hmm, last time was pancakes. But I'm more in the mood for---croissants?"

Shiki let out a sigh. He didn't even know how to make them but he'd give it a try.

"Meet you in the dining room?"

"Where else could I be?"

She was about to leave, but...after their bonding moment, she couldn't leave her thoughts unsaid.

"Oh, and Nii-san?"

Shiki stopped in his tracks and turned around to acknowledge his sister.

Without hesitation, Akiha moved closer towards Shiki, wrapping her arms around him in an embrace.

"...Thank you. For everything that's happened since I arrived, you've always been there. For that, I am grateful."

Shiki returned her hug, though softly and with care.

"That's what brothers are for, aren't they?"
