Summary; Tohru has searched for over two weeks for Kyou, who disappeared after a confrontation with God. Now it's going to take a little feline help to find him again.
Log; Exhaling tiredly, Tohru closed her eyes, leaning against one of the many trees within Xanadu. It was getting later in the evening, and although the sun still hung in the sky, orange and yellow colors littered the horizon. It was going to set within the next hour, which officially made this the onigiri’s least favorite part of the day. Under the cover of darkness it was ten times harder to search for Kyou, and now that she’d stayed with Hikari for the last few days, her friends within that household messaged her insistently if she tried staying out too late.
As long as there is still daylight, though…I won’t stop. As long as it wasn’t too late into the night they didn’t complain. The time she did try to stay out later she had discovered that Kyou had inquired with them into whether or not she had actually gone home. It was frustrating. If she still had energy enough to walk and be out and about…then it didn’t really feel right that she be resting safe and sound in a bed…while Kyou remained prisoner.
It’s been too many days already. This has to end. She texted regularly with Kyou, but she couldn’t really grasp his physical health and well being from words. If he really was bad she had the feeling that he wouldn’t let her know, either.
Tonight! She told herself once again, as she had each night before. I’ll find him tonight! I can DO it! Right, mom…?
Pushing away from the tree, a sudden noise caught her attention. Eyes casting about she glanced toward the nearest building. It looked like a small, abandoned cottage. Surprisingly there had been a few places like that in Xanadu. Most people preferred living in the city. The sound however came again and she noticed a kitten along the side of the house. It looked like he was having fun, playing below the window. Moving forward, her natural reaction was to call out the tiny creature. She adored cats. Closing her mouth for the millionth time however, she knew that no noise would come out. After all…the deities held her voice.
It’s too bad that I can’t speak to cats as well… she thought, as she knelt down a couple of feet away, extending her hand toward the kitten. You shouldn’t be out here, Koneko-chan. I don’t know if you are even old enough to be away from your mother.

But then she felt someone staring at her. Chii looked up and turned her head to one side questioningly at the kneeling girl across the way. She stared at the girl's fingers for a moment before her curiosity finally got the better of her.
Cautiously, the tiny kitten inched towards the outstretched fingers. Human hands sometimes meant milk, food, or even pettings, so she was quite curious as to what these ones held. Then again there were the few that were just a little too rough for her liking.

This seems a strange place to find someone like you around. What are you doing here in Xanadu? Are you lost?
Looking over the kitten, Tohru blinked a couple of times. Somehow, it looked familiar, as though she might have seen him before. There was a time or two she thought she remembered seeing him on the network.

It was never fun missing someone who was important to you...

The truth was, Chii was once again lost after wandering out of the apartment where she lived with three other cats and a nice lady named Cissnei. Somehow, however, she found herself wandering towards this part of the City. Chii didn't think much of it though. She was too busy being distracted by prey and other things that seemed too fun to ignore. She had also met a few other cats near the house which she had been frolicking. Some had told her that there was something inside the building that needed their help. Chii had started to investigate when her tail had distracted her.
