It was a perfect day to meet. The city occupied with the commotions of some trouble at the zoo, even the police wouldn't have thought some meeting were to take place this night. Slyly walking through the crowd in the streets, Aion finally made his way to the Den. He was grateful that the "Lady" was willing to help him out though he figured his guest tonight would surely spark her interest as well- The Major. A man after his own heart for destruction. It was going to be an interesting night.

Making his way towards the back of the place, he asked a worker to guide him to the reserved private room as he informed him to tell the owner that he had arrived. There he ordered his favorite drink and comfortably waited for the other to arrive.

A light knock on the door and a vampire in civilian garb peered around the door, a gun held loosely, but competently in his right hand.

"Herr Aion?"

Sure

"I'm afraid not, Herr Aion," the vampire said. He looked around, his nostrils flaring. He turned and spoke in German before opening the door and standing in a guard position next to it.

The Major was not, physically, very notable. He was fat, short, and not built for any sort of physical activity. He dressed impeccably, as a battalion commander in the Officer's Mess, with a bottle of thick amber liquid under his arm.

But it was the eyes that gave it away. Gold flashed under the reflection on his glasses, shining intelligence and ambition and... madness.

"Herr Aion, a pleasure to finally meet you."

The weave was complete and everyone was in the room. It was then that Graendal decided to use a gateway to come into the room from her office. Smiling, she nodded to them.

An extremely good-looking young woman was at her side with a tray.

Graendal's eyes noted the vampire but otherwise ignored him as she took a seat. She took a glass of wine of the tray her servant held.

"The Major. I must admit that I had not expected you would be the one coming here."

"Of course," the Major said, sitting at the table and placing a bottle on the table. "Germany's finest dark lager. But I will have whatever the lady recommends." He smirked as the light reflected off of his glasses.

Behind him, the vampire took a flanking position, watching Basane and Aion carefully.

"I don't wish to tell you what you already know. So please, enlighten me to what you do know of our... little gathering."

Graendal smiled sweetly as she studied the bottle. It wasn't something she'd heard of but no matter. "Drink what you wish. But if you desire something of mine then I can easily recommend something for any tongue."

Crossing her legs, she made herself comfortable.

"I was told that I would be...interested."

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2009-02-28 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
The Major smirked. "I place my trust in your hands, mein Frauline. I doubt you will steer me overwrong. But Herr Aion, that is an audacious and singular goal indeed. Not against the deities. Though audacious, it is common here. But no, you seek war. Not against the devil, but against Hell itself, though by another name. This in and of itself interests me."

He leaned back and spread his hands. "For you see, am I a man who does not himself have any goals. Or rather, I have settled on no goals to obtain my means."

[identity profile] akaladybasene.livejournal.com 2009-02-28 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
"Mm...war. Whether it is of the mind or of the land, it has such a beautiful ring to it." Graendal leaned back in her chair and eyed both men. "So many hesitate to invite war. How nice to see that there are those who don't."

As if to toast that fact, she raised her glass then took a sip.

"An interesting proposal, mein Herr. It would certainly require a greater deal of intelligence than we currently have. Indeed, I would not be at all surprised to learn that they know of our conversation even as we speak it. But that, I think, makes it an even greater challenge, and thus a more worthy opponent. For I have learned an important truth."

He produced a pair of USB thumb drives. "There is no such thing as immortal, unbeatable, or impossible. These concepts are meaningless in the chaos of war, the river of death. As for the group... think of it as a simple social club. We come together and commiserate. We help each other when in great need. And as every upstanding club must, we host a great event every once in a while."

[identity profile] akaladybasene.livejournal.com 2009-03-01 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
"I do agree that all things are possible with belief and action." That said, her eyes strayed to study the thumb drives with interest. It would be difficult to do otherwise. "I must also agree with your truth, Major. And, also add that the events of the club are quite excellent. I cannot help but to give my approval."

A mysterious little smile crosses her face. As if she knows many more things than she's letting on.

"Allies, then? Very good." He raised his glass. "Those contain the proper codes for your communicator to our... secure channels. Forgive us, but some of our members prefer the protection of anonymity. So please, select a name and introduce yourselves."

The shine from the light above circled around his glasses, seemingly of its own accord. "For myself, I chose Woden, Norse god of Wisdom and War. Most appropriate, don't you think?"

[identity profile] akaladybasene.livejournal.com 2009-03-03 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
"I can agree to allies and a family of sorts. And your name Major. It is perfection. The name suits you well." Reaching out, she took one of the drives. She studied it carefully then smiled her approval.

"I do believe I have just the name in mind too." Graendal's smile become coy as she set her glass on the tray her servant held. The girl only blushed that her mistress would show her attentions of any kind.

"Most believe me involved in everything that hurts them in this city in some way, so why abuse them of that notion? Crusader... how interesting and... familiar."

He held open his hands. "It's been too long since our little club spoke together. This really must be fixed, I believe."

[identity profile] akaladybasene.livejournal.com 2009-03-05 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Crusader. I do like that one. I shall go with the 'Souvra'. It is a word in an ancient tongue in my world." Graendal laughs lightly at both the men. This was working in her favor.

"It would be nice to speak to others of like minds."

[identity profile] warconductor.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
The Major raised his glass. "Prost."

[identity profile] akaladybasene.livejournal.com 2009-03-07 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
Graendal raised her own glass. "I will happily drink to that."

Laughing softly, she brought it to her lips.
