log; completed;
When; March 9, Evening, a day after the meeting with Lelouch
Rating; PG
Characters; Setsuna F. Seiei (
denyinurgod), Lockon Stratos (
stalkingireland), Allelujah Haptism (
holyinhell), and Tieria Erde (
worthier)
Summary; Setsuna breaks the news about the rebellion to the other Meisters.
Log;
The conversation he had yesterday evening with Lelouch vi Britannia was still running through his head well into the next day, and he had to walk around the City after work to reflect on it. The Emperor's proposal to start a rebellion... He had been doubtful of the other man, but it had made sense: To end the deities, there must be those who are willing to fight against them.
And there was no doubt in his mind when Setsuna claimed that he had been willing to fight. He had always been; it was the only thing he knew. And with his Gundam present in the City (one of the few things he should be grateful of, he admitted), there was no doubt in his mind that it could be done, that they can eradicate the source of distortion in this place.
Eventually, he found himself taking the road back to the apartment he shared with the other Meisters, but his thoughts wouldn't leave him. Even back in their world, there had been the existence of an organization with a clear plan in mind, and that was the very thing Lelouch had proposed when they met. And, as much as he couldn't fully put his trust in Lelouch yet, he had to admit that the other man had been right. In order to end the deities' reign, an organization had to be formed, enough to counter whatever power the deities held. To end the curses, to end the suffering of the citizens, and, perhaps, to bring them all back to their respective worlds.
That's why he needed to fight, once more. For this world, and for the world he would return to, the one that he still needed to right.

"Yo, Setsuna. Back late today?"
When he looked over at Setsuna it was as if yesterday's curse never happened; he was smiling as easily as ever. But that expression faded as he took in the atmosphere Setsuna carried with him.
"Something happen?"

Still, when Setsuna came in the door, he turned from his position on the couch to greet him. Al was cut short by Lockon so he decided to stop and hear how Setsuna would answer the question. There was no point in wasting a couple seconds when there were more important things to be discussed.

Already growing suspicious when a critical eye stared at the clock, he rounded the corner seconds after hearing Setsuna enter.
"Where were you?"
no subject
Now Lockon's query had been more difficult to respond to, but there had been little reason to keep it from the others. Besides, he knew he would need their help eventually; They were his comrades. "I talked to Lelouch vi Britannia. He wants to start a rebellion against the deities."
Blunt and practical, without a hint of hesitation in his voice.

...he wasn't all that surprised.
He wasn't entirely sure how else he felt about it, though. A pang of regret, for the lost chance to teach Setsuna to live almost normally--but maybe that was impossible anyway, with a conflict to end here.
Then again, maybe the pseudo-normalcy would come after the rebellion.
He grinned. "Whoever he is, it took him long enough. I hope he has plans."

Al knew he hadn't been here that long so maybe he didn't exactly understand the situation like the rest of his fellow meisters did. He did know this was a city full of civilians and he wasn't even sure there were targets that could be attacked without drawing in others.
"Is this a good idea? I understand fighting against the deities but what exactly will you be fighting?"
no subject
"I'm not interested in your reasoning. The objective is to keep our affairs private, and that includes affiliation with the efforts of others."
Tieria couldn't accept sitting by for whatever motive the deities planned -- in no way was he about to risk a so-called intervention run on unguided whims, either. For now, there were too many unpredictable factors in this world without recklessly supporting a complete stranger they had no means of trusting.
No matter what came of this, Lelouch vi Britannia had become another name to monitor.

"Lelouch vi Britannia, an Emperor in their world," he responded, addressing all three comrades. "Many citizens have been hurt, physically or otherwise, by the curses of the deities. Displeasure regarding the curses and the way the deities are controlling the populace have fallen on deaf ears. Many are suffering, many are in pain, but nothing has changed. And yet, no one has attempted to actively fight against them.
"The only way to end the distortion of the deities is to fight. An organization to eradicate conflict must rise. Lelouch vi Britannia has proposed to create such an organization.
I will fight alongside him. I will end them with Gundam."
no subject
Yet this was what Setsuna wanted, and that was what mattered.
"What affairs of ours, Tieria? We don't have any here. Setsuna is proposing we fix that. That we do what we're meant to do here, same as we did back home."
Lockon looked back at Setsuna. "But Allelujah has a point. The reason we haven't done anything yet is that we haven't seen anything to do. We need to learn what this Lelouch is planning. Or at least some of it."
no subject
"I think I understand. This Lelouch needs reliable help to complete whatever plans he has. If Setsuna is convinced, I think we should at least hear what Lelouch has to say. We should also keep our eyes open for any chance of being used or sacrificed. If it's the four of us working together, I doubt that would happen but we should still be aware."

Out of pure habit, he almost mentioned Veda's absence, nearly berated them all for twisting their purpose without informed facts from a system, but in the same moment logic reminded him which circumstances were beyond changing in either world. And still something else, somehow, made him regret that the thought ever entered his mind.
"However, learning the extent of his plans could hardly be considered detrimental."
Now his glare was fixed on Setsuna.
"What did you tell him?"
no subject
Yes, he had revealed confidential information, but he held little concern over it, and didn't regret his actions. It was simply something Lelouch had to know: That he could fight to end conflict. It was a proclamation of his purpose, the only reason why he was still alive.
And in a sense, he knew his other comrades had the same sense of purpose, deep inside. They all piloted Gundams back in their world for a common goal, after all; They all had the common desire to change things. So he directed his next question to all the Meisters:
"Will you fight with me?"
no subject
"That's a lot of information for a first date, Setsuna," he said instead. "You must've been pretty impressed with this Lelouch."
But there was never any question, really, of whether he would fight with them or not. Setsuna had asked. Lockon would never turn down an offer to fight at his side.
"Still," he said, "you'd have had to tell him eventually. Count me in."
no subject
"...truthfully, I've been looking forward to some kind of action."
no subject
As usual, Tieria would be the one to keep them in check. Ensuring that neither time nor action were wasted. (And yet the reliable data was gone, leaving only a messenger. It had never been him, so here, was it enough...? That insecurity didn't manage to work its way onto his features, in any case.)
"I reserve judgment. Until we acquire more information, we are to make no commitments."
Being manipulated by those who held them captive was degrading enough. By someone who could become an ally in changing that, it was unacceptable.
no subject
"I will inform Lelouch vi Britannia of your decisions tomorrow," he stated. Having heard all that he needed to hear, he headed for his room in the apartment, his thoughts a little bit less troubled than before.
