Summary; After winning Morgana's company in Blair's auction, Arthur requests that she joins him for dinner. Unknown to Morgana, he's agreed to let Wilson surprise her and take her out... after just a few threats, anyway.
Log;
Wilson couldn't help but be nervous. He couldn't blame Arthur, of course; he knew that he only had Morgana's best interests at heart. And certainly, he couldn't imagine doing anything to hurt her. Still, a standing threat from the legendary king (even if he was currently the king-to-be) didn't exactly do much to set his mind at ease. Something about knowing that heavily-armed medieval royalty was aggressively protective of his date just made Wilson second-guess everything. As if he wasn't doubting, judging, re-judging, and questioning himself about this constantly already.
He stared at the apartment door for a long moment, hesitating with his hand a few inches away from it. He slowly drew a deep breath in and out, and finally... knocked.

He stared at the apartment door for a long moment, hesitating with his hand a few inches away from it. He slowly drew a deep breath in and out, and finally... knocked.

When he heard the knock on the door he made his way over to open it. Sure enough, this Wilson person was there. Or Dr. Wilson as he heard Morgana say it once. Apparently that was like being a healing knight which earned the man a few points in his favor. He was surprised to see the man look so... old. It was probably Morgana thinking that any man her age wasn't mature enough for her.
"I hope you don't find it rude," he said. "But we've had problems with vampires before so I have to ask you to walk into the apartment without an invite if you're capable."
no subject
He took a couple of steps into the apartment, nodding politely at Arthur, "It's an honor to meet you, in person."
Slowly and politely, he glanced around, taking note of the abundant supply of weapons that had been left out. Somehow, he managed not to completely - at least, outwardly - panic at their presence.
no subject
"And not just from me, but from a lot of people," he added. "That said Morgana is far from stupid and would never tolerate your presence, let alone a relationship, if you weren't cordial to her at the very least."
no subject
He relaxed a bit as Arthur continued, shrugging slightly with an easier smile, "Well, I certainly try to treat her in a manner which is befitting of a lady. I realize the society I'm from can't seem very strong on that point, but, on an individual basis, I'm sure you'd find that most of us aren't quite that bad."
no subject
"Yes, but as I said, I trust Morgana's judgment," Arthur added, looking the other man in the eye. After a moment's hesitation he added, "But don't ever tell her I said that."
"And I think I should be going," he added. "She'll be over any moment."
no subject
At the second remark, he glanced at his watch, and nodded, "Right... well, thank you, again."
no subject
But she had, and so, with a heavy sigh, she knocked on his apartment door, wearing her best dress.

Lightly, he stepped over to the door and swung it open. As it revealed the lovely, and stunningly dressed, lady on the other side, a broad, warm smile spread across his face.
"Oh, Morgana," he said, smile quirking a bit into a smirk, his tone deliberately making the fabricated nature of his story quite apparent, "I'm afraid Arthur just wasn't quite feeling up to dinner after all. I told him I didn't mind taking you out instead-- if you don't mind the change of plans, of course."
FFFT WILSON WHAT IS THAT GRIN? also crai I need to renew her account
"James!" she exclaimed. "What are you -- but how? Did Arthur put you up to this?" The young Pendragon never ceased to amaze her. She had told him about Wilson, yes, but never would she have expected him to organize something like this. It was...surprisingly sweet of him.
He always smiles so oddly. >.> I have to cap my DVDs again hah. XD
"I'm also under strict orders to ensure that you are treated in a manner befitting a lady such as yourself... and shown an excellent time."
Such a silly face ;klajd;klfajdf <3 <3 <3

He then smirked slightly, shrugging dramatically and rolling his head to one side, "Of course, if you'd rather I be rude and take you somewhere awful, consider me at your command."

Some strange impulse overtook her. Perhaps it was the City's influence, or another effect of the curse she didn't realize she was under, but without really thinking about it, Morgana put her hands against his chest and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.
no subject
The kiss certainly took him by surprise. While it wouldn't have been significant with most people, it seemed quite forward for a lady from Morgana's time. It also seemed a bit off from how their interactions had been so far; he'd deliberately been giving her plenty of time and space, to take things at whatever pace, and to whatever length, she felt comfortable with.
That wasn't to say that he thought it was necessarily a bad thing, of course.
no subject
So the kiss shocked her, possibly even more than it surprised Wilson. She did not regret it exactly, being quite fond of the older man, but she was overtaken with the feeling that she had taken an extreme liberty that was probably not quite appropriate. She started to pull away and...not apologize, exactly...she wasn't sure what she would say.
But very soon she stopped worrying about what she would say, as she found herself quite unable to separate herself from Wilson.

"Well," He said with a sigh and an ironic smirk, "And here I had just been thinking that this was the second month I'd escaped the weekend of random curses."
He was completely lost as to what to actually do about the situation; it seemed that trying to fight against the effects of a curse was never a terribly fruitful effort.
no subject
"I'm so sorry," she said weakly.
no subject
"Don't be-- it's not your fault. It's... a curse. They happen."
no subject
"I hope you didn't make reservations," she said with force humor, doing her best to pull herself together.

He glanced around awkwardly, not quite sure of what to do about their physical situation. It didn't seem like a good idea to just stand here for hours, but trying to sit somewhere with Morgana stuck against his chest was definitely inadvisable.
no subject
"Perhaps we could lie down?" she suggested hesitantly. "It would be like standing but less tiring..."
no subject
"Well..." he shrugged, "I suppose it's either that or spend the next several hours standing, which will certainly become painful before long."

lame tag is lame. T_T running to work GAH~
He looked towards the couch as they approached it, marveling at just how far away it seemed to be.
not nearly as lame as my last tag/FIGHTO!
After an eternity, they arrived at the couch, and Morgana hesitated. How exactly were they going to get ON the couch?
sob. RL is eating me again. I SORRY BB
"Okay..." he said slowly, obviously making his plan up as he went, "One of us can sit on the edge of the couch, I think, and the other can kneel next to it? Then the first one can lie down, carefully, as the second moves onto the couch with them?"
He paused. Did that make logistical sense? He wasn't really sure. His face twisted a bit as he thought it through again, his brow furrowing and his mouth pulling into a concentrated, one-sided frown.
"... maybe?"
S'OKAY <3 <3 <3
"Perhaps you should sit, since you're taller," she suggested.
I love their EPIC FAIL. It's just SO epic.
He gave a little nod, deciding that the distraction of accomplishing this physical improbability was something good to latch onto, "Okay... right."
And slowly, ever so carefully, he started to attempt to get onto the sofa.
Songs will be song of their fail for generations to come
...wait, no, take that back. While she had thought that, being taller, it would be better for him to sit, the reality was that with her smaller stature, Morgana was not able to kneel properly while attached to his chest. She ended up sprawled uncomfortably across him, his knees digging into her stomach.
"Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea," she said weakly.
Oh god... the poor failures. XD
He pulled himself back up a bit, enough to stop any joints that were digging in. Glancing back down at the couch with a sigh, he said, "We may have to just... go for it at once."
MWAHAHAHHAHA
"One...two...three!" Wilson counted off, and they flomped onto the couch.
Or, well, tried. Morgana being on the ground upset their balance and they went crashing to the ground, Morgana fortunately landing on top of the good doctor.
"I'm so sorry!" she yelped. "Are you all right?" She wriggled as they both tried to return to a sitting position.

When he opened the door to his apartment Arthur wasn't sure if he was more furious with Wilson or disappointed in Morgana. The two were lying on the floor... writhing and clinging to each other. Of course, it was a bit hypocritical for Arthur to think less of either of them for doing something like this but the Crown Prince was occasionally irrational.
His sword was in his hands before he knew it and it was pointed directly as Wilson.
"What is going on here?" he demanded in a tone that was very reminiscent of his father.
no subject
"No, no, don't worry..." he said, somewhat disoriented, "I'm fine."
And then, suddenly, there was a sword in his face. He didn't have a very clear idea of where the sword or the prince holding it had come from, but he did have an extremely good grasp on the how the situation they'd managed to fall into looked. The presence of the mortal threat snapped him out of his disorientation.
"Nothing--" he started, lifting his hands, palms out, "It's nothing like that, it's just-- Morgana is cursed. We're stuck, and we just fell, and--" He paused for a moment, then sighed, offering as a closing remark, "Honestly, nothing is going on."
He glanced at Morgana, and though he didn't say anything, his face was pleading for help.
no subject
"For God's sake, Arthur, put that thing away!" she snapped, her words overlapping Wilson's. "This isn't what it looks like at all. It's a curse!"
no subject
"A curse to make you do this?" Arthur asked. "What sort of curse?"

"What exactly were you doing that caused you to be entangled in that position?" he asked, a bit of an accusatory smirk on his lips.
no subject
"It was just her hands," he said, "Unfortunately, our attempts to get unstuck just made it worse."

Arthur disappeared back into his room and came out a few moments later holding a small silver box that fit in the palm of his hand. Holding it up to his face he smiled.
"I believe they call this a camera," he explained. "It takes an instant picture of something. Isn't that right Dr. Wilson?"
I do not have the words to describe how badly/wonderfully I just cracked up at this.
"Yeah..." He muttered, his tone defeated and weary, "That's right."
This is why you don't date people in their twenties, Wilson. Their friends are so immature.
When Arthur came out with the camera, all she could do was stare at him. He wouldn't. He couldn't. But he would. Maturity had never been Arthur's strong suit.
Nor, honestly, had it ever been hers. "You take a picture of this and I will KILL you," she snapped. "You will be so dead, the deities themselves won't be able to bring you back."
no subject
He snapped a few more as he walked around them. From some of these angles this looked really rather embarrassing for them. Not that it wasn't embarrassing enough as it was.
"Now would you like me to help you up?" he asked. "Or would you rather I just keep everyone out so that no one else sees you?"
RL ate me again, sorry guys~ PS: Katie? You know who Wilson's best friend is. XD
"Are the two mutually exclusive?" He glanced up, raising a brow.
AHAHAHA true
no subject
"Alright, I'll help you two up and make sure no one else sees you like this," Arthur said. Stepping forward he was careful to offer Wilson his hand.
