Summary; After winning Morgana's company in Blair's auction, Arthur requests that she joins him for dinner. Unknown to Morgana, he's agreed to let Wilson surprise her and take her out... after just a few threats, anyway.
Log;

Wilson couldn't help but be nervous. He couldn't blame Arthur, of course; he knew that he only had Morgana's best interests at heart. And certainly, he couldn't imagine doing anything to hurt her. Still, a standing threat from the legendary king (even if he was currently the king-to-be) didn't exactly do much to set his mind at ease. Something about knowing that heavily-armed medieval royalty was aggressively protective of his date just made Wilson second-guess everything. As if he wasn't doubting, judging, re-judging, and questioning himself about this constantly already.

He stared at the apartment door for a long moment, hesitating with his hand a few inches away from it. He slowly drew a deep breath in and out, and finally... knocked.

Arthur had made sure that as many weapons as possible were lying about the living room of the apartment. He had been under orders to be in the hospital but there was no way he was going to be absent for this. His side had been stitched up and bandaged and they had even put blood back in him, so the prince saw no need to stay at the hospital. Besides, he had Anne to look after him. If he was moving just a bit stiffly that wasn't a big deal.

When he heard the knock on the door he made his way over to open it. Sure enough, this Wilson person was there. Or Dr. Wilson as he heard Morgana say it once. Apparently that was like being a healing knight which earned the man a few points in his favor. He was surprised to see the man look so... old. It was probably Morgana thinking that any man her age wasn't mature enough for her.

"I hope you don't find it rude," he said. "But we've had problems with vampires before so I have to ask you to walk into the apartment without an invite if you're capable."

"I suppose I don't have to tell you how poorly things will go for you if you hurt Morgana," Arthur said, ignoring the polite greeting for the moment. He had to admit that so far the doctor had seemed a gentleman.

"And not just from me, but from a lot of people," he added. "That said Morgana is far from stupid and would never tolerate your presence, let alone a relationship, if you weren't cordial to her at the very least."

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-04 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Arthur had been finding more and more out about Blair's culture and, as a result, Wilson's too. And the man was right, the code of honor and chivalry from their time seemed very lacking.

"Yes, but as I said, I trust Morgana's judgment," Arthur added, looking the other man in the eye. After a moment's hesitation he added, "But don't ever tell her I said that."

"And I think I should be going," he added. "She'll be over any moment."

Arthur was a fool. What was he thinking, demanding that she dine with him at the apartment when he was under doctor's orders to remain in the hospital? They lived together; it wasn't like it was hard for them to see one another. She shouldn't have agreed, no matter how insistent he was.

But she had, and so, with a heavy sigh, she knocked on his apartment door, wearing her best dress.

FFFT WILSON WHAT IS THAT GRIN? also crai I need to renew her account

That was certainly not the face she expected to see. Morgana stared at Wilson uncomprehendingly for a long moment before she broke out into a large smile.

"James!" she exclaimed. "What are you -- but how? Did Arthur put you up to this?" The young Pendragon never ceased to amaze her. She had told him about Wilson, yes, but never would she have expected him to organize something like this. It was...surprisingly sweet of him.

Such a silly face ;klajd;klfajdf <3 <3 <3

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana rolled her eyes affectionately. "Typical Arthur," she said. "He always has to be the boss of everything. I hope you know you are under no obligation to listen to him."

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 02:28 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana laughed softly. "I would not have you be anything but what you are," she said, moving closer.

Some strange impulse overtook her. Perhaps it was the City's influence, or another effect of the curse she didn't realize she was under, but without really thinking about it, Morgana put her hands against his chest and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
It was indeed very forward for someone like Morgana. There were women -- ladies of the court, even -- who would do far more intimate things with men they knew less well than she knew Wilson, but Morgana had always maintained a proper distance between herself and the men around her. She flirted, yes, but with words and dress, never physically. For one thing, Uther would kill any man that touched her, with or without her consent. But even if he hadn't been so protective, she would have remained guarded. She was the conscience of a prince and a king; she could not afford to be distracted with romance.

So the kiss shocked her, possibly even more than it surprised Wilson. She did not regret it exactly, being quite fond of the older man, but she was overtaken with the feeling that she had taken an extreme liberty that was probably not quite appropriate. She started to pull away and...not apologize, exactly...she wasn't sure what she would say.

But very soon she stopped worrying about what she would say, as she found herself quite unable to separate herself from Wilson.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana would have liked to bury her head, but the only available space was Wilson's shoulder, and she didn't want to risk it getting stuck there. She tried to pull away again, but the more she pulled, the tighter the curse pulled her against him, in ways that were less than appropriate. She quickly gave up and wished that the earth would swallow her whole...and somehow leave Wilson behind.

"I'm so sorry," she said weakly.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 03:42 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana wasn't even thinking about a few day's time. She was stuck thinking about midnight and how very far away it was. And that was assuming that this curse would end at midnight and wasn't another weekend long affair. She REALLY didn't want to think about spending the entire weekend like this.

"I hope you didn't make reservations," she said with force humor, doing her best to pull herself together.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Excellent." Morgana was pondering the exact same problem, and wishing that she had eaten something before coming over. But why would she have? She had thought she would be getting dinner.

"Perhaps we could lie down?" she suggested hesitantly. "It would be like standing but less tiring..."

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-05 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana nodded, her face burning, and began moving towards the couch.

not nearly as lame as my last tag/FIGHTO!

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-06 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana had not realized just how difficult it would be to move while attached to someone. With every step towards the couch they were in danger of tumbling to the ground, and Morgana resisted the urge to close her eyes in dread. Why did it have to be so far away? Arthur needed to better arrange his furniture.

After an eternity, they arrived at the couch, and Morgana hesitated. How exactly were they going to get ON the couch?

S'OKAY <3 <3 <3

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana frowned, trying to puzzle it out. Normally she was quite good at these logistical issues, but she was very, very close to Wilson, who was very, very much a man. Thinking was a little difficult.

"Perhaps you should sit, since you're taller," she suggested.

Songs will be song of their fail for generations to come

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 03:54 am (UTC)(link)
So far, it seemed to be working.

...wait, no, take that back. While she had thought that, being taller, it would be better for him to sit, the reality was that with her smaller stature, Morgana was not able to kneel properly while attached to his chest. She ended up sprawled uncomfortably across him, his knees digging into her stomach.

"Perhaps this wasn't such a good idea," she said weakly.

MWAHAHAHHAHA

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana nodded, her face burning and her body stiff. Never, ever, EVER was she touching anyone ever again without first making sure she wasn't cursed.

"One...two...three!" Wilson counted off, and they flomped onto the couch.

Or, well, tried. Morgana being on the ground upset their balance and they went crashing to the ground, Morgana fortunately landing on top of the good doctor.

"I'm so sorry!" she yelped. "Are you all right?" She wriggled as they both tried to return to a sitting position.

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
Arthur had decided that he had given Wilson more than enough time to get Morgana out of the apartment and to wherever they were supposed to go. He had told the doctor that Morgana liked music so he hoped that the man had taken his advice and taken her somewhere with good, live music.

When he opened the door to his apartment Arthur wasn't sure if he was more furious with Wilson or disappointed in Morgana. The two were lying on the floor... writhing and clinging to each other. Of course, it was a bit hypocritical for Arthur to think less of either of them for doing something like this but the Crown Prince was occasionally irrational.

His sword was in his hands before he knew it and it was pointed directly as Wilson.

"What is going on here?" he demanded in a tone that was very reminiscent of his father.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 03:33 pm (UTC)(link)
If Morgana had thought the situation couldn't have gotten any worse, she was sorely mistaken. Arthur was in many ways his father's son, and where he thought honor was maligned, he could get quite as irrational as Uther.

"For God's sake, Arthur, put that thing away!" she snapped, her words overlapping Wilson's. "This isn't what it looks like at all. It's a curse!"

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Arthur didn't put his sword away, if for no other reason to be contrary. Neither Wilson nor Morgana were going to attack him, but he felt it helped him make a point.

"A curse to make you do this?" Arthur asked. "What sort of curse?"

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)
If Morgana had the use of her hands, she probably would have slapped Arthur. What on earth was he trying to prove, continuing to hold his sword at them? "Seeing as James has offered you a perfectly good explanation," she said, her voice dripping with venom that was in part irritation with him and in large part sheer humiliation, "put down your sword."

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Arthur could tell from the tone in Morgana's voice that it would be wise to put down his sword, so he sheathed it and crossed his arms over his chest. The explanation seemed reasonable enough.

"What exactly were you doing that caused you to be entangled in that position?" he asked, a bit of an accusatory smirk on his lips.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Her face flushed. She loved Arthur a great deal, more than she would admit to anyone, but she did not want him privy to the details of her personal life. "That is none of your business," Morgana said sharply, her words overlapping Wilson's. "Or should I start askiing what exactly it is that you do with Blair?"

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"You'd never do that," Arthur replied, giving her a smug grin. "You're too afraid of the answers. Now hold on, I think I might know something that will help..."

Arthur disappeared back into his room and came out a few moments later holding a small silver box that fit in the palm of his hand. Holding it up to his face he smiled.

"I believe they call this a camera," he explained. "It takes an instant picture of something. Isn't that right Dr. Wilson?"

This is why you don't date people in their twenties, Wilson. Their friends are so immature.

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 05:57 pm (UTC)(link)
He had a point, unfortunately. Morgana had absolutely no desire to know what Arthur and Blair did alone together; what they did in her dreams was awkward enough.

When Arthur came out with the camera, all she could do was stare at him. He wouldn't. He couldn't. But he would. Maturity had never been Arthur's strong suit.

Nor, honestly, had it ever been hers. "You take a picture of this and I will KILL you," she snapped. "You will be so dead, the deities themselves won't be able to bring you back."

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-07 06:07 pm (UTC)(link)
"That would be very unfortunate," Arthur said, snapping a picture. "Because then these pictures would find their way on to the network and everyone would have to see them."

He snapped a few more as he walked around them. From some of these angles this looked really rather embarrassing for them. Not that it wasn't embarrassing enough as it was.

"Now would you like me to help you up?" he asked. "Or would you rather I just keep everyone out so that no one else sees you?"

AHAHAHA true

[identity profile] sleepyseer.livejournal.com 2009-05-09 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
Morgana didn't bother speaking; if she did, something terribly nasty that she wouldn't want Wilson to hear would probably come out of her mouth. She let her eyes do all the talking as she glared at Arthur, promising death and destruction to everything he ever held dear if those pictures became public.

[identity profile] thefutureking.livejournal.com 2009-05-09 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Arthur just smiled pleasantly at Morgana. The truth was he had no idea how to use the camera other than just point or click, if he wanted to do anything with them he would need some help.

"Alright, I'll help you two up and make sure no one else sees you like this," Arthur said. Stepping forward he was careful to offer Wilson his hand.
