Log; Ongoing
When; Sunday, May 24th, evening
Rating; PG
Characters; Captain James T. Kirk
starfleet_pimp and Lucy Pevensie
lionesscouchant
Summary; Kirk goes for a walk in the woods and meets a mysterious stranger.
Log; After the situation with the circus, Kirk needed some time to himself to clear his head. For someone like Kirk, that meant going out into the woods in the evening where he might encounter monsters. He could never just go for a walk in the forest by himself, that was out of the question. There had to be some sort of risk or thrill or challenge involved in it for him to want to be involved. That's why he liked space so much, because there was so much emptiness out there but there was so much happening in it. Bones had once described space as 'disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence' which sounded just perfect to the young man.
So he wasn't really expecting to meet anyone out here, although he had brought his phaser with him just in case. He brought it pretty much everywhere with him in the City, it was just that kind of place. Another reason why he wasn't going absolutely crazy here. That, and all the interesting women. He was always excited to see what challenge or what girl (or both things in one package) might present themselves next.

When she turned around, Kirk took a moment to admire her from that angle as well and he liked what he saw. She definitely didn't spend her time as queen just sitting around on her throne.
"Thinking," he said, moving a bit closer to her. "Seeing what I might run in to out here."
no subject
"And now you have run into me, or perhaps it is the other way around, and you find yourself pleased?" she knows he is pleased; his smile is far too broad.
"I was looking for an adventure," she explains.
no subject
"And you can definitely have an adventure with me," Kirk told her. "You don't even have to ask."

Lucy is close enough to Destrier to be able to mount and flee quickly, should she choose, and Destrier is close enough to bite Kirk if he should so decide. Caspian's horse has good sense, to add to reason. "Should I invoke diplomacy?"
no subject
"Doesn't diplomacy state that the queen shouldn't be out riding by herself at night?" Kirk asked, tilting his head in curiosity. "Should I invoke diplomacy and have our quiet little moment interrupted by knights and guards making sure you're safe?"
no subject
"Do you know how to swordfight?"
no subject
"Despite some considerable thrusting and parrying experience, I don't," Kirk said. His hands moved down to lightly rest on her waist. "Do you?"
no subject
"I do," She says. "Maybe I should make this a challenge," she adds. "Learn to swordfight - learn to defeat me, and that might earn you a reward."
no subject
"Do I just issue a challenge to Queen Lucy of Narnia when I'm ready?" he asked.
no subject
"No," she says. "I'll find you. Perhaps I'll even teach you, a little. I can't expect you to learn from nothing, can I?" She flicks her ankles, just a bit, and Destrier walks around Kirk with a practiced ease. "You had best, actually, not say my name on the Network entirely."
no subject
"What will you give me to not say your name on the network?" he asked.
no subject
no subject
"Yes, your highness," he said, standing on his tiptoes.
no subject
"That's my favor, don't lose it."
no subject
"I promise I'll take good care of it," he told her. "I don't think you'd give me another to replace it if I lost it."
no subject
And then she gives Destrier a little kick, and they take off again into the night.
