LOG; ONGOING
When; Thursday night; 16.07.09
Rating; uuuhhhh PG
Characters; Hikaru Shidou [
redstrength] and Umi Ryuuzaki [
soulofocean]
Summary; After anti-Sora's attack and heart search, the pair of Magic Knights deal with the aftermath.
Log;
It'd happened fast. The shadows around them distorting, a dark assailant seemingly appearing out of nowhere. Umi and Hikaru had tried to fight and they managed to fend whatever it was off (after a bit of ice and fire. Hikaru hadn't wanted to use it, but it seemed the only thing that worked) and back into the shadows. But it didn't leave before doing something to Hikaru, leaving an array of clawed gashes across her chest. She didn't make it a habit to wear her armor around the Overground, but this was one time she regretted it. And as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared and left them to wonder what had just happened.
Hikaru held her hand to her chest, breathing heavily holding her sword in her other hand. She was keeping her eyes on where she last saw the ...thing, wondering if it was going to come back. At whatever cost, she had to make sure nothing would happen to Umi if it did come back. When it looked like it was all clear, she lowered her weapon and a heavy sigh before glancing over her shoulder to her friend.
"Umi, are you okay?"

"Umi, are you okay?"

And it hadn't shown much interest in her, for the matter. Umi turned to her best friend only to confirm what she feared: Hikaru was far more battered than she was. Not only because the Fire Knight hadn't been wearing any armor to protect her - they NEEDED to tell Mokona to work on fixing that - but...
Umi leaned against a nearby wall, looking at a loss. Had the creature been more thorough when wounding her best friend??
"Forget about me. You look bad... Hikaru." She rushed to the redhead's side as fast as she could. "What was that thing looking for??"

Now wasn't really the time. Umi. Right. Hikaru put her hands on the water knight's arms, looking up to her. She was worried, despite knowing Umi could full well take care of herself.
"You weren't hurt too badly or anything were you?"

The Water Knight shook her head and held onto Hikaru right back, helping her friend regain her balance. "It was just like Huey told me! He said he'd been attacked by a monster made of shadows."
But... Then she placed a hand back on her own tattered shirt. "But he didn't mention anything about... What was it? It felt so weird..."

Her thoughts stopped abruptly as she pulled herself back to the present matters at hand. Umi had been hurt, so she needed medical aid.
She hesitated and then smiled up to Umi. "Let's take care of our wounds first, and then we'll figure out what it was."

This was preoccupying. Their spells had chased the thing away, not defeated it or even harmed it. She didn't want this to happen to other citizens with even less chances of defending themselves. "If I had been faster none of this would have happened."
The Water Knight sighed and nodded toward their building's direction. They'd both be able to make it back walking on their own despite their wounds, she believed. "At least we know magic can affect it. Kinda... Now I wonder if what that guy told Huey is true."
afjlasdkjf augh what is wrong with me 8(
She was trying to hold her friend's balance as they continued on, but she was only thinking the whole time.
"I think if we both were faster, it would've been better." Even with her training regularly, she still couldn't match up. It bothered Hikaru; maybe she should start training more.
I did the same ;;;
Reaching into her pocket, she produced a handkerchief and tried to press it gently against the smaller girl's wounds as they walked. Forget her own, for now. Hikaru's looked graver.
"He mentioned someone else... I think." The Water Knight frowned in thought as they continued to the building. "...It could have been a bad joke or something. But Huey mentioned a name. Maybe... Sera? Sora? Or something like that."
haha I think it's just condition. ;_; and quick tag before a busy day <3
"Sora? That thing has to do with Sora-san?" He was a friend of hers that'd always been around in passing, but she didn't think he'd be associated with something like this. Unless it was one of those heartless things he and Roxas had told her about. She'd have to ask.
"That was all they said?"
Good luck with that day~ <3
She tried to recall as much as she could of the aforementioned conversation as they walked on. Maybe this was a real hint Huey had been given.
"I wish I knew more. But that was all Huey told me. I don't think he remembers much." She sighed with frustration. "He was very lucky to come out of it in once piece..."
Thanks *A* I think it went well. And fjaklsjdf Two days later I'M SORRY
Hikaru looked down at the cloth Umi had to the gashes and thought for a few moments. Smiling, she slowly removed Umi's hands.
"It'll be okay. Don't worry. But I'll ask around and see what I can find out."
