Summary; The Blue Light turns 1.
Log;

The Blue Light is decorated; it's got it's usual jazz style but tonight there's some more to it; curtains and tables all look a little bit dated, because they are. Where Blue and Promise found the furnishings for this particular party is something that both of them won't tell, but it looks terrific.

There are corners to hide in and corners to party in, and good music and good booze. It's a party!

"They're very lucky, that rare few," Rosella answers, giving him a knowing sort of smile. She knows she is one of those few, of course, and she certainly does consider herself lucky for it. Who wouldn't be, with a friend as dear and loyal and wonderful as Blue?

"But what do you do about the rest? Do you make silly faces at them, and that's why you're bad company?" she continues, unable to resist the opportunity to tease him a little. "They say your face will stick that way if you do it too often, you know."

"Perhaps not, but at least now if it does, I can say I told you so." She grins, glancing around at the rest of the festivities as she does so. Really, she'd be perfectly content to stay talking with Blue all right, but it is a party and he's right, she ought to enjoy every bit of it while it lasts.

"Well, only if you insist," she replies. But there is one last thing she meant to tell him, and she ought to do it before she forgets, so-- "Oh, and I saw your Miss Alice on the Network the other day. You were right, I do like her, and very much so."

She's secretly pleased that Blue has someone to stay with him now, much like how she was secretly pleased when he'd offered to keep a dog for her if she wanted. Blue always does everything he can to look after others, it seems; but then, who looks after Blue? And Alice is a clever girl, that much is clear as day. They'll be good for each other, she thinks, with Alice needing a friend and Blue needing someone to keep him company. It'll be good for each of them.

"It won't be difficult at all," she confesses. "Really, it sounds silly to say it, but...she rather reminds me of myself, in a way. She seems wonderfully clever, and spirited, and adventurous...no, it won't be hard at all to be her friend, if she'll have me. I like her very much already."

"All right, all right, off I go," she agrees, letting herself be pushed, but taking a moment to glance over her shoulder and regard Blue silently before she goes. It's good to see him smile; she can remember a time when she would've given most anything she could think of, just to see a smile pulling at his lips the way it is now. So perhaps things always do get better, even if it's only a little at a time. It's a comforting thought to have.

"Happy anniversary, Blue," Rosella says with a light touch to his arm, and with one last smile, begins to make her way to the dance floor. Blue insisted, after all, and who is she to disappoint?
