♚ OPEN LOG ][ no wonder you're late
When; Oct. 6th, Mad Hatter Day curse
Rating; G - PG-13
Characters; OPEN
Summary; On a day that you can be sipping tea with friends one moment, passing sugar with an enemy the next, only only to find yourself eating cake with a deity, this is merely one of the tables the City's inhabitants may find themselves dining at.
Log; Xanadu was always a lovely place, forever green and in bloom, and today was no exception, even with the many celebrations, small and large, quiet and boisterous, friendly and unfriendly, going on throughout the City. This table was large, from whence, no one may know, but it was set for as many need come, as many would come, tugged along by a merry curse that shouted clean cup, move down at whim.
Teas of all kinds, tea cups and saucers, biscuits and cakes, all available and scattered over the rich green cloth that topped the wooden table and trailed off in to the grass below. At the head of this table, a rare sight- one of the City deities, out for all to see who were lucky- or unlucky- enough to arrive there. A small hat perched atop her crown, of bent saplings, the leaves and a single flower serving for decoration as she beckons you enjoy the seat and fair that she and the others, that the curses have provided you.
As long as it last.
Note; See here! Mark your subject lines with "open" or "to ____" if you like. Prose OR comment log style is alright. Sabine will speak with any marked "open" or "to Sabine". Enjoy, and feel free to pop your character in and out as it pleases you and the curse description goes!

His gaze wandered up to her hat again; he wondered what it would grow into eventually. "It was really nice for you to do this. I guess if you like plants you come here often?"
no subject
"I do." Her gaze wandered to the large cherry tree that marked Xanadu's heart, forever in bloom.
"It is where I am most often, besides the office."
no subject
After a pause, he asked distractedly: "...the office?"
no subject
"Where we look after things."
no subject
He looked her up and down again, slowly. "Do I know you or something?" There was a feeling like deja vu itching in the back of his mind; he wondered if it was the last version of him that had been here trying to tell him something.
no subject
"I am Sabine, Theodore Altman." Almost a laugh on her tongue, but not mocking. Amused and gentle.
"I am called "deity", here."
no subject
"Oh. Oh." He immediately reached up in an attempt to straigthen out his hair and smooth the front of his rumbled t-shirt. Now he totally felt underdressed.
"Hi there. Um. Ms. Sabine. Ma'am." He tried to smile as apologetically as possible. "I didn't know. I'm sorry."

"Ah. One of those deals again. I know you, you know me, only I don't know you and you only sort of don't know me." He winced at just how stupid and obvious it sounded. "Were we friendly?" he hazarded.
no subject
"I like to think so."
no subject
"I like to think so."
no subject
He smiled at her, looking relieved. "Oh, good. I was afraid maybe I'd done something totally stupid to piss you off. I, uh. Heh. I have a bad habit of doing that sometimes." Teddy paused and looked around quickly, before turning his gaze to Sabine.
"I'm sorry I don't remember you. But, maybe we can be friendly again?"
no subject
"No." She comforted with the one word, a turn of wrist in like caress.
"It would make me happy to be so. You did not do anything stupid."
no subject
He gave an embarrassed duck of his head. "I don't really know that much about Net sometimes. And it's always hard to tell what's true and what's just people talking cause they like to hear themselves talk, you know?"
no subject
"I love my children. And I love this place, where they may grow, from seeds to bloom." And yet, it seemed she may not have been speaking entirely of plants.
